There used to be a pattern of just after Christmas we'd see "leaked" images of the second half sets but now there doesn't appear to be much of a pattern to it, other than being about a month before release at the earliest.

And more or less on the eve of release at the latest.

42178 Surface Space Loader, 42180 Mars Exploration Rover, and 42179 Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit have been officially confirmed on Brickset. No images yet, however.

I'm more interested in that Dune ornithopter, though!

EDIT:

Nope, forget all of the aforementioned - ANIMAL CROSSING! ANIMAL CROSSING! ANIMAL FREAKING CROSSING!

Funny that they're releasing a Mars exploration rover when they released a Mars exploration rover just this year... But I don't mind.

Going by other names for the set, it's more of a personnel carrier.

A new leak has appeared (from terminalvideo): 42170 set will be Kawasaki Ninja H2R Motorcycle (successor to the Ducati Panigale V4 R) with 643 Pieces and RRP $79.99 available in 1st March 2024. Problaby color may be black or dbg with green elements and can use black shock absorbers from 42155 Batcyle. It is very likely that new gearbox components will be used in this set.

@Jim, time to pin this topic before we start talking about 2025

Done. Thanks for the heads-up.

I have also slightly changed the title, since this topic isn't about speculation. I know, until we get official information it is kinda speculating, but you guys know what I mean.

Next year hopefully will be a great year for Space as City have a new line too. I better start saving my pennies already. I hope the technic space vehicles are all interlinked and the same scale.

Would be really dumb if they weren't in the same scale...

Yes it would but you never know with TLG, especially when you see the lazy mistakes they make with Star Wars minifigures with sets.

Im expecting / hoping the LT78 Loader and LT81 Spaceship link together. Would be nice if the Rover is the same scale too

Really curious about the Dozer and especially the Forage Harvester!

With all the John Deere branded vehicles coming out one after another, I hope for a Claas tractor or wheel loader this year

Please TLC, don't waste the licenses!

At a price of $10.99 I'm not too excited.

EDIT: Speaking of dozers, it appears 42131 is being retired this year. Kind of sad to see it go...

I'm sorry, but if we don't get excited about a bulldozer that you can hold in your palm, then we have failed as a society. :sadnew:

Seriously though, a set doesn't have to be big to be great. And it's probably one of the few sets that's gonna have a B-model.

$11 set might be too smal to get many people excited, you have to really have some interesting build with not a lot of pieces for it to be exciting.

I think that optimal size for a small set is something around 350 pieces like john deere tractor with trailer and if we were to get such non-branded $20~ish sets that are slightly more polished on the looks than the $11 sets, but still having functionality, it'd be great.

Even more awesome it would be if lego would focus on a single scale matching the car transporter scale and few last supercars like senna/bolide/tecnica and started releasing various sets in the matching scale. We have some of them in similar if not the same scale, like the tow truck and few others, but it'd be great if they made it as a series similar to how speed champions are handled, because without it, "investing" into a collection at specific scale may be too risky if they might just change the scale next year.

According to instagram, 42182 should be "1970 moon rover" priced 250$ and released in June.

If that's true, we have left the year of repetitive cars and we are going into the year of repetitive space sets.
