Hidden Cache. A mini entry with 42 pieces including treasure and minifig.
This pirate has hidden his treasure in some rocks and covered it in palm leaves. Seems to be guarded by some native wildlife as well. The cache can be accessed by pushing the axle.

Total Pieces: 42
All parts exist and available on lego/bricklink.
Cheers

A handsome little set, here are my suggestions, change the spider to a more realistic color, the leaves in the light green color don't look that great (I would swap those for the green color in Plant Plate, Round 1 x 1 with 3 Leaves : Part 32607 | BrickLink). Other than this just add a log or two for the fire and then I think it will look perfect. Anyway, happy building :)

I agree that the lime green doesn't really fit here.  The other color that doesn't fit IMHO is the lid of the treasure; some wood-like color (dark orange, dark brown, reddish brown, black, etc.) would be a better fit.  And perhaps make it a 2x2 tile with centered stud so that the wildlife can sit on it.

The fire looks more like a candle than a campfire, perhaps try the "Plume Feather Triple Compact / Flame / Water" piece?  Apart from that, I love the simplicity of the campfire design.  Really excellent!

All in all, this is clean, simple, has a neat little play feature, and is a wonderful little set that captures the spirit of the pirates theme perfectly.  Well done!

There are red tarantulas in Mexico (Brachypelma boehmei) - which is near Carribean - for me it's legit.

I quite like the wildlife variety, with a good number of accessories for the pirate, but I'd make that shovel either an axe or a gun, since there's no apparent reason to dig anywhere on that build. I like the way the foliage mostly hides the play feature (which is a great way to add a lot to a little thing), and I quite like the variety of lime green, green and red. But I do agree about the campfire's fire piece, and I'd make that back 1x1 LBG brick a 1x2 slope to add some extra parts variety.

What a lovely set design! The play feature is fantastic and everything just screams LEGO set in my eyes. The fireplace although a bit simplistic looks just like a thing from a real set. I do agree that it would benefit from the plum piece though. Also I think everyone would be bothered by the inclusion of the 2x2 crate instead of a real treasure chest, but again something fitting for a real set and for the mechanism. Lime doesn't bother me that much, might be a thing in the next Pirates wave color scheme and it's a nice example of introducing a new piece in new color (can't remember if that new leave exists in lime already?). I'm not that big of a fan of the oversized LEGO ants and spiders so in my eyes it could easily be swapped with a parrot or a monkey. Maybe even a toucan for a more modern look. And to add something more for the kids, I'd add a pirate flag on the top.

Very nice presentation and design, i like Your engineering work on this project. However I think that there's maybe the rocky element puts a huge shadow on everything else in it, it takes all the attention, with nothing exciting happening around it realy. I mean, it's still a nice, but i would look for ways to balance this. Maybe this pirate fellow could be replaced with someone visually appealing? I mean, he's not the kind of minifig one could be attracted too. Or if he could have a soldier/another pirate, someone to fight with. Or you could switch drop that crab for atypical animal in pirate sets... like say...even a small pig that could bring more life and action into it ;)

@LetsBrick this is almost a perfect little playset: for it to be completely ideal I'd suggest replacing the shovel with 3841 pickaxe & figuring out the build for a little rock to be put in front of the crate, imitating the obstacle needed to be, well, "pickaxed" :pir-laugh: U know, so when the pushout mechanism is being used, the first thing moving away is a rock (hence imitating "breaking the stone with pickaxe" type of action) & only then the crate is revealed :pir-wink: That would've been insanely cool & imo would've completed the idea perfectly :pir-thumb:

This is a great small set. It would look great as a gift with purchase or quick $5 gift idea in a poly bag. One suggestion is that the 6x8 tan plate is a bit unnatural. Sand flows and is chaotic so it needs to not have square corners. I suggest changing to a 6x6 with a curved corner plus a 2x6 (to get the full 6x8 dimension).

Joli petit set très jouable ! Il pourrait trouver son (jeune) public sans problème !

Je voterai pour ;-)
