Should we start a pool on how fast this set gets a price reduction?

It will no doubt be based on something from the upcoming movie.
But to a Lego Space fan like myself, it has very little appeal.

Agreed. It does have little appeal but it might appeal to Pharrell fans.  Tome, ehhhhhhh - pass for me.

That’s my thought as well.

No problem! 👍
The torsos being restocked multiple times makes me very hopeful that they will appear in a set sometime in 2025, since there cannot be this much overstock!

I went there as soon as I saw this post, but less than 24 hours later, I guess they're gone again? Can't find the torsos on there at all (is there a specific part number for that one?). I wonder how many they restock when they do, because they sure seem to go fast. :(

Here's a fantasy: Lego is going to use dark blue and orange Space torsos in a new City Space theme. You know the dark blue & orange Arctic/Sea/Jungle exploration sets? If they can explore all those places, why not Space? Blue & Orange are Lego City's "Explore Anywhere" colors. Space is an "anywhere" too!

I'm mostly joking. But people are already doing MOCs in this color scheme. Two very recent posts on Reddit:

I would prefer dark blue windscreens though.

Looking forward to getting some dark blue space torsos. I like the orange and blue above. I've just played around with gray in Studio and used trans-orange now that these visors are on Bricklink. Dark blue works with pinks too if someone is willing to try...

dark blue space torso. small for eurobricks 1

I should add the green figure is a prototype from 1987 (which are now possible to make) that gave me the idea

bonus information

So which helmet and tanks do you think will show up in the next large LNY/Monkey kid/Ninjago set? Dark Blue? Or Light Bluish Gray?

Dark blue (and a dark blue helmet) would be good to go with the BAM torso, but while light grey has appeared in Classic Space sets from the very beginning, we have not gotten a LBG update yet!
We could always end up getting a few different colours, since dark blue is one of the City exploration colours (so any divers who appear in 2025 could have airtanks in this colour, for instance), while green and light grey are more suited to MK/CNY sets. CMFs and Creator sets are another possibility, as the former gave us purple and light grey torsos, while the latter featured a dark bley helmet.

I love color mashups like these. They look like "alternate timeline" themes that could have existed in the '80s. I guess that's literally the case with the green one.

Lego classic Space tic tac toe coming soon :

I don't get the point of using Classic Space torsos without the air tanks and without the proper helmets. Not many people want that.

The only way I'll be getting this is if it's a GWP for the Insider's weekend before Black Friday.  With 10 minifigs, I suspect this will be a somewhat high purchase threshold.  I doubt I'll spend my Insider points to get this if it ends up being an Insider's set instead of a GWP.

Agree, I assume the helmet is the same cost to Lego no matter what the variation, and the air tanks also can't really cost much.  So again, Lego's strategy here is a mystery.

I would guess for insider reward, but would prefer GWP aswell. As for the ten minifigs, I wouldn´t put to much in their number as there is a big difference if there are ten minifigs, or two 5 times each. Especially when both share the same face, and have only one printed piece aside from that.

I guarantee that they have the proper helmets; the motorcycle helmet has not been released in orange since 2010 (exclusive to a polybag!), and the visors on the Minifigs seem oddly-proportioned if they were using motorcycle helmets (however proportioned exactly as we would expect if they are wearing the updated CS helmet).
The lack of airtanks is annoying to be sure, but orange is still on PAB and white is cheap on BrickLink.

Not that I'm in favour of it (I agree with you; if you're going Classic Space, do it properly) but I'm actually going to find this quite useful - I have a couple of the orange helmets from the VIP add-on pack the other year, but no torso to go with them

I've never actually paid much mind to insiders rewards, how many points do sets like this usually cost?

Lego is pricing them individually but if I would have to guess I would say 2700 Points.

Right, thanks

Black and red astronauts need to make more appearances in Lego sets. Specially the Black one,

The green new astronaut is already out in 60429, -431, -432, -433 (multiple and dark green), -434, and -439. The torso is also available on Pick A Brick online. Red would be cool for the new style prints.

I'm not very often here and I was pleased to see my MOC here.

Nice build. Compact, but quite swooshable. The flames are a great addition.

Not what I expected, but it has its own style.
The torso of the crew in front are appearantly based on last season's BAM alien minifig.

@SpaceFace We aren't supposed to post leaked images, of which that is one.
