howitzer Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Congratulations to winners! It was really fun contest, so many so good entries. Personally I learned a lot while making my entry, too bad I couldn't finish it properly, perhaps next time is better. Quote
Akassin Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) I am very excited and happy. This contest is amazing! Now I want to collect many of these sets. And the results show that there was a lot of cool works (there is no big points gap between the first three places and the next participants). Thanks @Jim, @Milan, for finding time for such events. lcvisser Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 I had hoped I had done better, but indeed the competition was amazing. Awesome entries all around and deserving winners. Congratulations to all who entered, thanks for participating, it was fun also to watch these builds come together! And thanks to @Jim and the rest of the team for organizing, really much appreciated how much effort you put in! Quote
Erik Leppen Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) It's great to see all those superb builds on one big image. This image just perfectly shows the amazing quality of Eurobricks builders! There's a lot of stuff I see that I really like. There are some that are very hard to distinguish from their respective sets. Both of the 41999 ones, the 8436 one, the 8109 one. There's some really unexpected sets too. I like the airport fire truck one, that was my first fully studless set. Also, I can't not love the 8446 one, good to see that set still inspiring people :) Some are really cute, such as the Claas or the Unimog. And lots of pneumatic goodness. Great job to all participants! I can imagine it impossible to pick favorites, good to see that the judges were able to do so in the end :) Unfortunately I haven't had much time to comment on builds, but I like them all. Yes, really, there's not a single picture I don't like. Thanks to Jim for the hard, but hopefully satisfying job of organizing everything; thanks for the judges, and of course to all who entered! KevinMD Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 Congrats to the winners. Surprised to see two personal faves, @gyenesvi and @NoEXIST, so low. You guys did awesome even if the judges didn’t score it that way! Quote
nerdsforprez Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Congrats to the winners and awesome job to everyone. Truly one of my favorite contests to date. Quote
Saruzeufel Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Well deserved, congrats to the winners! Also thanks a lot to everyone involved in the contest. (also: nice to see I did about three positions better than anticipated) Quote
Jundis Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 (edited) What a cool contest, thanks again for hosting @Jim and @Milan ! Also congrats to the winners, they are really well deserved :-) Edited August 28, 2023 by Jundis Quote
Celeri Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Big kudos to all participants, because honnestly all entries were great and their respective designer can be proud! Also a big thanks for people who have made this event possible. This is really what makes EB shine among social networks: here, we do not have just pictures of MOCs with only "this is my latest creation, please click the LIKE button !", we can follow the creation process on a nearly-daily basis, see how others' comment can influence or even help MOCs becoming really cool. vascolp Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Congratulations to all, winners, participants, and judges! The quality of all entries is so remarkably good that, in some sense, it is a relief not having to judge! After looking at the Contest Index I must say: 10 year of contests: Thank you @Jim! Quote

Berthil Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Congratulations to the winners! I made myself a note to build as much functions behind Technic panels for the next contest/challenge because that seems to be valued the most here. The last 2 contests I was 4th with novel ideas but not enough functions or panels. A controllable spaceship on strings while the contest was to build a spaceship. The Barcode truck I don't have to explain. I'm proud of the 4th place in such a competitive field with great builds but I have to find a way to transform my creativity for new ideas into motivation for builds that are expected here. Quote

JoKo Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 (edited) I have a thought for the ones at the bottom of the list. Nobody deserved a bad ranking. I'm sure that on a 10 points evaluation there will be no score lower than 8.5 maybe? I think the TC25 result can be represented like this: I'm flattered with my result, thanks to the juges. Thanks to @Jim for his patience and dedication. In 10 years you have gathered a bunch of brilliant Technic builders in these contests and I'm happy and proud to be part of this. Don't bother too much with the moanings and b*tchings, you are doing great! Also thanks to @GerritvdG for gathering instructions and offered making instructions for the Osprey too. (Comming soon I hope. I haven't done the studio model yet) I didn't mention it before but thanks to @kbalage too because his video about the Osprey was my main documentation about this model. Our initial thought was to provide the Top-3. But people liked to know their score. That's why we published the entire list. Maybe we can publish a Top-10 next time. Everybody not in the Top-10 scores 11th place. Quote
Mikdun Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Congratulations for the winners! But equally congratulations for all participants, this contest was on very high level, all the models are at least very good. Quote
Jurss Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Conratulations to all participinats, espacially to winners. Quote
gyenesvi Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Congratulations to the winners! I actually anticipated both the Arocs of @2GodBDGlory and the Extreme Adventure of @Zerobricks to have a high chance of ending up in the top 3! I really enjoyed following and participating in this contest, was really impressed by both the amount and quality of the entries. 14 hours ago, KevinMD said: Congrats to the winners. Thanks for the kind words, and while I am really satisfied with my model, as I wrote in my discussion thread, starting from the model choice I did not expect it to score high as it did not have that many complicated functions. But anyway I accepted this and I wanted to build this one :) Quote
arijitdas Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Congratulations to all the winners. In my opinion this has been one of the best contests. Even those who did not win should not feel sad or disheartened and rather feel proud to have been able to find unique solutions to retain the functions of the original set while shrinking it. Quote

It even got me out of my current mini dark age, I started shrinking 9398 but never got around to finishing it. Congratulations to the winners and kudos to all participants, and a big thank you to Jim and Milan for running this contest. Quote
