The Olsen Gang house in Valby

Hi all LEGO fans!

I'm a Danish LEGO fan and I'm also a great fan of the Danish movie series "Olsen Banden" or in English "The Olsen Gang", made by Nordisk Film Kompagni in Valby. -By the way, one of the World's oldest movie companies still running.

The iconic movie series from the eighties is mostly known in Europe I think? Especially in the Nordics countries - Scandinavia and in the former East Germany it became very popular I know. But i'm not sure how many people outside these countries know the gang? Please tell me if you do!
It doesn't matter if you don't know the movie. - I think you can still enjoy the house and the building techniques.

I have been building the house of Kjeld and Yvonne Jensen from the Olsen Gang over several years. The house itself was demolished in 1989, so not very many pictures was available of it on the internet. Therefore a thoroughly research was necessary in local archives in Valby.  You can for comparison see all the photos that I could find of the house here.

Here "Bøffen" is coming with his spanner in his hand, to knock Egon down!

Outside is also waiting Bennys brother Dynamit-Harry. He has a drinking problem.

In the backyard a moviescene is being recorded with Egon, Benny and Børge with his red moped.

Here you can see the front of the house. This side of the house you never see in any of the movies, so that was why I had to do some researche in lokal archives.

This is so cool! I grew up with those movies and still love them. Your build has so much detail and perfectly recreates the scene with many iconic characters. I can here the bottles clicking. Thank you for sharing.

I've never seen the Olsen gang movies. I don't know if they even were in Cinema's or at tv in my country. But I've read about it in The Ultimate Lego Book from 1999.

On page 83 is a picture of three Brick built miniland Olsen gang members in the danish harbour. It says the theme music sounds around them.

I think your moc is a very dedicated reconstruction of this movies if I see how much research you did on the original buildings.

Me and my brother loved to watch the adventures of the Olsen gang in TV when we grew up! And i love every detail of your moc. The beautiful yellow houses, the backyard, the cars, clothes on the line, the minifigs... fantastisk!

I believe LEGO referenced the films in an official set as well, with the following green 1x2 tile in set 4512 from 20 years ago. (I feel old now)

The set's designer says where it comes from in this Brickset list. (you'll have to scroll to find it, it's a ways down)
