The comments about the Cole mech show how much effort goes into these things, with the attention to detail of including the lava arms and then the show taking that design for his stone form. It seems nothing is a throwaway to the set designers or the show runners. Also I’m glad they noticed that just getting mechs for one half of the year is disappointing, which makes me very excited to see the march sets.

Also, they know that a whole wave of mechs could be disappointing so they threw in Egalt as well. Honestly as long as the march sets dont get revealed by January 1st, the dragon and mini mech set are my day 1 buys. I really do love all the ninja suits as well though, so hopefully they show up in the other sets. Did I mention the price is confirmed as £9? What an absolute steal. Just checking, we had a leak for an enormous source dragon build in the summer? Im praying it's a quad wing dragon, aside from that source dragon, id love to see a full size dragon ever since I saw the build at the legoland mythica ride.

Good spot, looks like Riyu will have a head like the bottom of the core ice dragon I want to say, although I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a new mould. I cant tell if the Nya shown is in her climbing suit or just the dragons rising suit with the headband/hair on top of either one. You can see the foot of the mech as well in the shot and on the side just on the edge of the spirit cloud on the left I think that is a massive gold sword. Wonder what mech is going to wield that thing.

Looking at the mechs. The cockpits seem to all be built upside down. With some kind of new pin piece for the waist rotation. (Possibly a click pin for the waist)

Will be interesting to see what that is exactly one the instructions are out.

It’s already been shown off on toothdominos Twitter, it’s basically a 1x2 brick with a ratchet pin attached to it. Will be super useful when it comes out, but sadly not the joint I want to see most. We are in desperate need of a bigger, stronger joint if we want to keep building mechs at the scale we have them (Titan mechs). As they get heavier we desperately need a new ankle joint, and arm joint. I think knees are pretty much figured out now, hips could do with some work but other than that mechs are pretty much perfect.

Good spot. I think the suits on the box art may be based of concept art for the suits? The armour piece is marginally different (no gold) and it’s in regular red, and there’s a couple of differences on the printing (legs have a dragon scale look on the box but buckles on the figure, and a different torso design with no red caribina). Wonder if we will get them as figs though, as I wildly prefer the all red armour mask combo over the regular red mask and dark red armour. Makes the break inbetween even more apparent when they’re meant to be one continuous cloth part.

Looks much better on the box art. The difference of colour between the hood and the armour is unnecessary. I hope not all Ninja suits will look like this.

I'm currently reverse-engineering the mechs in Mecabricks and I remember seeing an image in someone's Instagram story of the underside of the upper torso of Cole's mech? It was to show of the new piece, but I can't find the pic anywhere, and I don't have a twitter account to search on there. Does anyone know where I can find it?

If I had to take a guess at the plot, the wave 1 sets will be all about the mechs, and the mech suit outfits will be exclusive to these shorts only. Then the main story is focused on the spring and summer waves. Maybe the ninja need to retrieve the gong and mallet of shattering as artifacts and bring them to the top of a mountain? That’s why they need all the climbing gear. Then at the top is the location we see on the Egalt box art, some sort of temple where Egalt himself lies? I’ll be honest, it’s kind of hard to tie all of it together. I know it was mentioned that the ninja had climbing gear to climb trees but I feel like that was a bit more of damage control/ throwing people of the trail, as this feels a little extreme and there’s also mountainous terrain in the box art of the source dragon set.

Maybe Egalt is at the Dragonstone Temple?
I am curious about how the gong and mallet will factor into the story; Ras is using them to power his army, but how? Is Ras travelling around and collecting various powerful artefacts to take back to his master? 🤔

That, or there are really big trees in this forest (which is entirely possible!).

Kais climbing mech has leaked. One of the only sets I can say that has audibly made me say wtf. Anyone know the price? It looks very skimpy and slender, good for climbing I guess but I expected something bulkier. Really digging the legs though. I love the double knee joint thing going on and also, they’re experimenting with ankle stability at last! We saw a tiny bit in jiro but now it’s coming to mechs. New hooks look cool I guess.

It's 70 usd, which I think is a really great price for it, since the previous big ninjago mechs were 80. 

I didn't expect for it to look like that, I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised by it. I was thinking about skipping this set because I own Arishem from Marvel, and I'm planning on getting 71808. But this is like something that we never had from ninjago before. I like the pistons on the legs, they really make it more mechanical. The whole build feels really mechaical overall.   This has to by my favorite Ninjago set from 2024 so far, and I will be definitely picking it up.

I like the legs and the torso, but the arms are very disappointing. Why don't the main arms have elbow joints? The use of those limb pieces also makes the forearms look absurdly short too. I don't like how the hook works look with the weird asymmetry, and I suspect they're rather stiff given they're built around technic beams. Oh well, I have enough big mechs already.

Only thing I’m liking about the mech are the lower half and torso, I’m in agreement the arms don’t look nearly as strong for a climbing mech. Does remind me of crimson typhoon from pacific rim so that’s a win!

Honestly half the reason I was excited for this mech was because I was hoping that it would be a design that I could convert into a robo-size Eggman mech . . and I’m happy to say it looks like it’ll suit that purpose. Definitely going to have to completely redo the head and lower arms, but it has a particular menace to it and I like what I see.

I’m really disappointed with the mech, it just doesn’t look like it’s worth $70, I’d say the mech is around $50, $60 if I’m being generous. Keep in mind I tried to moc what I thought the mech would look like earlier this year!

And that feels like it would be $70, not a slightly larger mech than others! Though it could just be the angle, and maybe the mech is larger irl.

I think that Lord Ras has a mech in this set, which would bring the overall value up. That said, I do like the design; it just looks a bit small for $70.

I love the mech, it's extremely unique. It absolutely doesn't look worth 70€ tho.

New mech does look pretty cool but yeah not really worth the price it seems. It's a little funny how the $20 mechs feel like a really good deal for the price, whereas this one is the exact opposite (also still really weird Kai is getting two mechs).

He's included in Egalt the Master Dragon and the Shadow Dojo. 

He won't have a mech in any of those sets.

Yeah that’s my mistake, I wrongly said Ras would have a mech after misinterpreting some of the audio in the duckbricks interview, sorry about that. They were referring to the wolf mech in the Kai mech set that’s in January, not the climber mech.
