The S1 suits were their backup suits, so in-universe these may just be their new main ones. The climber suits are obviously modified/specialised, so those are not going to be their base outfits.

Sort of. The Ninja always get their new suits at some point during the season, but from SotFS through Crystalized, they wore their SotFS suits as their default outfits (when not in their season-specific costumes). 
 

Loving this new wave! Jay's little mech is such a solid battle pack and a good way to get that figure- 10$ battle packs are something I sorely missed. I also love Egalt- Master Wu Dragon, literally! Plan to hang that one from my celling with a little fishing wire. The other mechs are tempting, and I love the different body types- Lloyd's Samurai-esc one, and the bulkiness of Cole's and the standard "hero" look of Kai's are all really appealing to me. But first things first- Egalt and Jay will be mine!

 

Edit: has Egalt shown up in the show yet? I'm slowly catching up via a Ninjago franchise binge, and I'd love to see what this guy's about (and if he's actually related to Wu).

Well, thank lord I have a Netflix subscription and a Lego Universe replay to hold me over, haha. Can't wait to pick up the set though, hoping to put up a review when I get it!

The first short is up! 
 

The first episode was very much "filler" (for lack of a better term), but not bad; I like seeing what the Ninja are up to when they are not stopping world-ending villains. 
 - These shorts definitely take place either in the middle of (or after) S2; the interactions between Cole and Kai suggest that they have been reunited for some time. 
 - Interestingly, the "mech pilot" suits existed prior to the mechs' creation, so maybe these will be the S2 base suits (with the climber suits coming later in the season). 
 - Those backpacks actually are the mechs - I have no idea how they are able to collapse into such a small space! Some kind of nanotech, perhaps? 
 - I love the mech assembly sequences! 
 - Arin must have had two of the same hoodie, since he still has his casual clothes after his Ninja suit was created. 
 - Arin's Spinjitzu seems more refined than it did in S1 - He has clearly been practicing!

Sooo ninjagos 13th anniversary is coming up next week, and Ninjago music are already teasing a big release for the fans (honestly cannot wait, I absolutely love the music and the team behind it are amazing), I’m wondering if we may have a 2021 situation going on. What does everyone think about our chances for seeing the March sets? I think it’s 50/50 really.

Set names are out. Looks to be a small wave like sea bound where it’s just 5 sets. Sad to see there’s no small sets aside from one.

so yeah. Very uninspired wave, sad to see no mention of Arin Sora or Riyu but I guess they get sets in the March wave. However I can’t lie I’m so excited to see a Ninjago dragon at 1700 parts that sounds fantastic, and correct me if im wrong but that is by far the biggest Lego dragon right? Golden ultra dragon didn’t even make 1000 parts in crystalized. And Cole finally getting a Titan mech is also awesome, I really hope it’s based off his golem form, maybe a bigger version of it. I just hope we get that awesome backwards knee design on a big mech. Now all we need is a Titan mech for Kai and the series is complete. Although actually I guess Sora and Arin need a Titan mech too. 
 

Tournament sounds like whatever, we are getting an arena in the March wave anyways. Zanes bike sounds mildly interesting, small bike set is cool. And I think we can all agree the combo vehicle is likely a raider isn’t it? I kinda hope we see something new like a bounty made up of all the vehicles combined. May look a little off with all the different colours but I think they could make it work. We saw a boat shaped mech in the hydrobounty. Upscale, give it to Kai. Give an armoured vehicle to Cole in the centre. Give Jay a vehicle with the engines and then zane the cabin at the back. Make it a base or something. Give Arin the sails and Sora the roof of the cabin. Make them a kite and a shield or something.

Couple of updates - Cole’s titanium dragon mech. Could he be sharing with zane?? And also the source dragon is fire, not motion. Motion would have been cool, maybe the same power as zeatrix?

71816 - I was right with my predictions that the $10 would be a vehicle on wheels. Overall I am quite excited for it, since zane had only one bike before. Also Zane in my opinion  usually has the best suits of the whole line up, so it's nice to get it for this cheap. I Imagine it being build in the same style as the recent spider-man bike, I also expect a small side build with it.

71818 - An arena build seems really nice, I would want it to have some obstacles in it similar to the ones in The Monastery. Other then that the set sounds great but thats about it .

71820 - I own the Ultra stealth raider so I don't feel like i'd want to get another combo vehicle, especially with that terrible price. But we only have the name so far so maybe it could have something interesting in it, but for now I have like no interest in it.

71821 - this set sounds really exciting. that is mostly because it's said to be a dragon mech. I would want it to have a lot of dragon like features.  Baisicly it would have a tail , wings and I would also hope that it would have a dragon style head. like that would be the COOLEST thing ever, just have I'm imagining it looking like is getting me really excited for it.

71812 - There is no way that there would be a dragon with over 1700 pieces, like it would have problems with standing up, even the Golden ultra dragon feels pretty heavy with only around 900 pcs. I expect this having a substantial side build or even builds

So for now I'm the most interested in the Zane bike, The Arena and The Cole mech, mostly the Cole mech.

There is no motion dragon, the original leaker mistranslated, 71822 is "The Source Dragon of Fire" and also check fateful and brickclickers instagram status for the summer listings

There was said before that there will be a $250 set, it's kind weird that it isn't here. There could be a one more set, since the store exclusive sets always get revealed at a later date, like for example The temple of the dragon energy cores. other then that I don't think that there would be any more sets.

yes the 250 dollar set is confirmed to be a (kind of tied to the show but a separate set), kind of like ninjago city markets which was marketed under the dragons rising line of ninjago, but hasn't been featured as of now
