3500 THB are 100 USD

Well, at the current exchange rate 3,500 THB is $94.62 USD.

However the eligibility threshold may vary from region to region, so while the threshold is the equivalent of $94.62 USD in Thailand, in other countries it may be different.

So now we eagerly await the official announcement on that!

Thank you very much for the information! 🙂

I personally dislike the set: It looks too blocky and not really Pirate-ish (more Halloween-like with the bat and Fantasy-like with the rock looking like a shark's mouth). So it absolutely doesn't fit regular Pirates sets. That's really a pity since a Pirates GWP going with the new Eldorado Fortress would have been highly requested. 👎

Are that head and torso print new? I don't recognize them, and quite like them.

Just read info about the head. It's from Arctic Explorer Sets. Mini Head No. 4031, 6434805 (BL 28621pb0074).

So technically the faceprint is new, since it was only introduced this year, but not like "brand-new" :shrug_oh_well:

I plan on getting it, I have Lego to buy for the holidays, so I might as well get some GWP's. But if I'm honest, this GWP shows that LEGO is some what out of touch with what Pirate fans REALLY want. It's up to us (the fans), to help clear up that message.

God dammit why can't they just do Sabre Island as a GWP and make everyone happy. I don't need yet another pirate with that torso and I don't need the parts either. Meh!

I'd be more happy if they would do Sabre Island as a regular set!

It's because Lego doesn't have a lot of faith in Imperial sets selling anymore, heck they don't even have faith in them as a GWP.

My funds were a little tight over the summer (summer activities and what not),so I didn't buy Eldorado Fortress until early September. When I received mine, it STILL had the "Don't release until July X" Warning on the box. I ended up getting a second one a couple of weeks later, and it had that warning as well. So that tells me that Eldorado isn't selling all that well unfortunately. If it was... These initial "street date" sets would of been LONG GONE.

Ive heard elsewhere that when it comes to Pirates, Pirate Ships sell well (hence why the creator 3-1 is still for sale). I've also heard that a set that is meant for the Pirates faction FAR outsells anything meant for the Imperials. Hence why we hardly see ANYTHING Imperials. Given what I just said about Eldorado Fortress, I'd expect this trend to continue. I would NOT expect an Imperial ship ANYTIME soon. I could see a remake of SES coming WELL before a remake of the Imperial Flagship. Honestly, I don't think the Flagship sold that well during it's initial run either. IMO, if you want Imperials, you BETTER get Eldorado, cause that's probably going to be it for a WHILE.

Just my observations.

BTW, I as well would LOVE to see remakes of Lagoon Lockup and Saber Island. But that's up to us as Pirates fans, we have to prove to Lego that the Pirates theme is STRONG. Castle is getting nice remakes, Pirates should as well. But we need to show them we want it, they have to have more faith in the theme.

TLG needs to start allowing retailers to sell 10320 finally. It's been 3+ months already & EF is still LEGO Shop exclusive. Needless to say that we don't have those fancy stores worldwide in every city, lol, in my country resellers are asking ≈$400 for this set, which is quite a freaking steep jump to say the least.

Well, 10210 was a part of Creator Expert line, which was not as mass produced as some other themes & it was also a LEGO Shop exclusive for the half of its production span, if I'm not mistaken (for example, 10210 has never reached most of the CIS countries, back in the day that set was as unavailable officially as 10320 is nowadays) + it just happened to be the last Pirates/Imperials release prior to PoTC licensed line, which has negatively influenced its production longevity due to 2009-2010 Pirates reboot being cut short in order to make way for the PoTC theme. So I'd say Imperial Flagship was kinda robbed of its sales in multiple ways :shrug_confused:

I totally agree with this.
I saw imperial flagship once in store, and would 100% have bought it if it was more widely available here.
From my understanding most pirate sets have sold very well, be the creator ship has sold very well also.

But it’s ok, give us more pirate playgrounds and spooky pirate islands with literally no new parts and recycled prints, because that’s what fans want.

Well, all those nostalgia fueled GWPs work perfectly as intented by Lego and as long as people hype them and talk about them months prior to release and buy all those high priced sets without discount directly from LEGO just to get a GWP there is no reason to change anything. Fear of missing out and nostalgia drive the sales and LEGO knows it.

Be it out of stock already? I was planning to purchase Eldorado Fortress with 40597 tomorrow, yet it seems to be absent from the offers page.

Which regional LEGO.com store are you attempting to purchase from?

I was going to resist temptation and wait for Nov gwps… but my local lego store also had 30% off on some great sets (not discounted on shop at home, and cheaper than I had ever seen them at third-party e-tailers). Long story short AFOL-me (where A stands for addict) ended up with two of these. Sure the minifig is nothing special (unfortunately) but in hand it is a better build/has better presence than in pics. In fact, I am tempted to open the second one (instead of keeping it as “currency” or so I tell myself for the purposes of my dubious lego maths to justify soending) and add bricks to turn it into a nice fun moc I picture in my mind’s eye.

bottom line, not as valuable as other gwps due to lack of any exclusive parts, but a decent set at this particular spending threshold (and double vip + nicely discounted sets). You might not regret giving it a try.

It is also not shown anymore in the German shop. Think i still saw it in the morning today but it vanished since then.

It was still available in the German store just yesterday.

Still showing in the US but the Halloween pack is gone.

Yes, I think I placed the order and i noticed Spooky Halloween pack was not on it. I think it was Thursday. Ah well…but I am going to get Scary Treasure Island GWP anyways.
