November 5, 20231 yr Righty-o, time to delete Discord after all that chaos. @Classic_Spaceman, kudos for trying to keep track of it all during the weekend, it’s much appreciated. Now that we ‘know’ the Temple and Z-95 are completely false, the summer wave therefore remains completely unknown. Extremely bummed out that the Chimaera ‘leak’ was completely fake, but joke’s on me after what we’ve seen this weekend. I do wonder how many of the reputable leakers know what’s coming next August. It‘s a bit too early for any info besides set numbers and price points, considering we usually only get good info on the August wave in spring
November 6, 20231 yr Yeah the other two being fake was understandable. Now, the headhunter was at least realistic, but it still seemed too early. Would that mean these other sets are may? I could honestly see the Rex set being january if it wasn't for how late in the game we found out about it.
November 6, 20231 yr The “no ahsoka sets” was a red flag for me. Fan requests for Thrawn have to be at least as popular as fan requests for Gideon

No Way Home, Mando S3, etc. I would be shocked if something as big as the Chimera released less than a year after it's appearance in Ahsoka.
November 6, 20231 yr Was there anything in specific that ruled out the Z-95 other than it sounding unrealistic?

Update: The original source of the rumours said that they are real, but the person who reposted the rumours on Discord double-checked with their own sources, and none of them had heard of the Z-95 or Jedi Temple sets. I am now convinced that these two sets are fake, and that any future information from this original source should be questioned until a more legitimate source backs it up. On that note, the original source has now said that we are getting an Endor bunker set (75389, $799.99); Includes the bunker, a small AT-ST, and a small Ewok catapult - Minifigs: Endor Han, Endor Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Wicket, Logray, Kazak, 1x Endor Rebel Trooper, 1x AT-ST Driver, 2x Imperial Officers (black uniform). IMO, this is also fake; not only is the price absurdly high for what is included, the hero-villain balance is off - Where are the speeder bikes, Scout Troopers, and Stormtroopers?? Edit: The price is now $170, but I am still suspicious. Edited November 6, 20231 yr by Classic_Spaceman

The logic is sound, but this also makes me think of examples like Mando S2. The ‘spoiler’ sets for the season released less than a year after the show aired. Overall, I think the distinction lies in whether or not Lego’s first exposure to certain things for the first time is on the big / small screen (No Way Home and Luke’s appearance in Mando S2 come to mind, though outside of his appearance the Light Cruiser set is more or less fully accurate to the finale). I know there’s that Brick Fanatics article on Mando S3 from earlier this year that mentions the LSW Design Team’s reaction to the finale, but it doesn’t strike me as them necessarily saying they saw all this stuff for the first time when we as consumers did. Plus, given the June release date for the spoiler Mando S3 sets coupled with the usual 18-24 month turnover time to conceptualise and produce a set (plus the litany of new moulds we’re supposedly getting in those two spoiler sets), it seems likely the LSW design team were given material to work with prior to April 2023. Tying back to Ahsoka, we’ve already seen from Funko and Hasbro that toys based on Enoch, the Night Troopers, and Thrawn are already pipelined. I’m sure these characters weren’t completely withheld from licensees until everyone saw them during the spoiler episodes of the show. But hey, when it comes to Lego, who knows? I’m rambling a lot of words to basically reiterate for the thousandth time how much I’d love more sets from the show lol. Edited November 6, 20231 yr by Kaijumeister

I’m rambling a lot of words to basically reiterate for the thousandth time how much I’d love more sets from the show lol. Sure, it may not have been the first time they saw this stuff (it certainly wasn't the first us fans had heard of it, we'd known Thrawn would have kintsugi stormtroopers and a golden-faced stormtrooper captain for FOREVER before the show premiered) but unless this is the first time they've been provided with the info, I can't see us getting stuff before september at the absolute earliest, as much as I'd love it. Assuming they knew: Unless this is the first time they've been given that, we can look at their track record for older sets. Mando S3- 14 month turnaround for 2 small sets. Mando S2- 9 month turnaround for less spoilery sets- I think the only thing not in trailers was the Dark Trooper- 16 month turnaround for fully spoiler set. All that said, I think the absolute earliest we could see something like the Chimera is September 2024, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for any spoiler content before January 2025. TBOBF is an interesting outlier here, with Mando's N-1 releasing only 6 months after it aired, but I have to assume they knew about it well beforehand and lucasfilm didn't consider it a spoiler in the way they did all this other stuff. Assuming they didn't know: Look at how long it took them to do Baby Yoda, maybe the single most merchandisable thing to happen to star wars since it's inception. Took almost a full year to add the fig to a set that was almost certainly already coming, and like 10 months just to get a brickheadz out. 1 hour ago, Classic_Spaceman said: On that note, the original source has now said that we are getting an Endor bunker set (75389, $799.99); Includes the bunker, a small AT-ST, and a small Ewok catapult - Minifigs: Endor Han, Endor Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Wicket, Logray, Kazak, 1x Endor Rebel Trooper, 1x AT-ST Driver, 2x Imperial Officers (black uniform). Honestly it sounds realistic enough to me but the issue was the source had absolutely no reliability as far as I'm aware. It'd be like me saying that they're doing a new Millenium Falcon this summer. It sounds plausible enough, but I have no actual info on it, and no record of getting things right. 4 minutes ago, itsjustajoe said: Harassment of users, and brigading for your own gain is not tolerated in the Brick Tap community. Then again, I'm fairly certain I heard somewhere that the N-1's development was very rushed. People were churning out MOCs of that thing within hours of its first appearance, and everyone I talked to was dying for a set of it. Furthermore, the end product did seem like it was probably designed very quickly, and things like the darksaber remaining not-updated was probably also because of that.

A quick search in your Discord server unearths a comment from yourself which states: "funny that that renown guy implied the z95 was real tho", accompanied by some daft reaction image of Jake Gyllenhaal from the "my reaction to that information" meme. I've taken the liberty of quoting my original post, and the post to which it was replying, to course correct the narrative questioning my authenticity that you're peddling in your Discord server. Although I think most people with half a brain could discern this, I'd better clarify that my initial response to Classic_Spaceman was in relation to his direct question for me, and was not entertaining this Z-95 rumour. Now, at this moment in time, I don't know enough about the contents of 75388 to say for certain if it is or is not a Z-95; it could well be, and might well be within the realm of possibility for all I know, *at this moment in time*. That said, I do know enough about the fig selection in 75388 to say that the community is in for a nice surprise. I'll leave it at that for now. In brief; you seemingly question my track record in your backwater Discord server, and are yet to proffer any information of your own. So, you'd best get your cards on the table.
