I think it was said that it was Bracca Scrapper Cal ( which IMO is his best and most iconic look) like he appears on the JFO box art. So probably just a single blue light saber, though if they wanted to something cool they could give you a few options for blade colour and include yellow and orange, which would be new. They do seem to have gone above and beyond with the anniversary figures so far.

I love the Star Wars Jedi games so I'm really excited to see what the Cal Kestis figure looks like. However I am a bit disappointed as I feel like his inclusion as a special anniversary minifig signifies that we are very very unlikely to ever see any future sets based on the game... at least I'll be able to display him next to BD-1 I guess

I had my hopes on a blue crossguard for his sabre just because we can kind of customise the rest. I’m glad it is that outfit (and poncho?)

I’m really hoping that Young Leia and Cal both come with their droid companions - I feel that would make them both stand out a bit more and feel more “special” especially when compared to Malak and Fives, both of whom will look more interesting even to people unfamiliar with the characters.

Oh, thank God! That is indeed his best look.
Also; oh jeez, my head is such a mess. It was mentioned multiple times the minifig would be a Fallen Order version, yet every time I kept thinking "why of such a recent game?" and "but he looks more iconic in the first"

LEGO has been really great at keeping leaks at bay the past two years. If they decide not to reveal the sets, it could even be a whole month before we see them.

Dream scenario? We get his lightsaber with a longer hilt, two blue bars, and BD-1.

Realistic scenario? Regular blue lighstaber and maybe BD-1.

I think canonically it's single blade and blaster, though I couldn't tell you where I heard that.

Either way, it's supposedly fallen order cal, so it'll likely be just the single blade.

Not neccesarily- it may just mean we aren't getting Fallen Order sets, but a Survivor Mantis may still come at some point.

Re March images it’s strange because we got images for some March sets released ages ago in other themes. so I thought we would have had everything by now. I know people say Lego are getting better at keeping leaks out but then we have just found out news about the summer wave 3 months earlier than last year
 

I just want to see the tantive hallway set and the medieval village set as well in the icons theme

It seems like they've gotten way, way more secretive about controlling visual leaks, but word of mouth leaks are still common.  If you remember, even 4-5 years ago, retailer catalog images would leak super early (even if the image for a listing was literally just a giant question mark with a watermark over it), but whenever we do get preliminary images out of catalogs, it's much closer to the actual release dates now.  However, I think word of mouth leaks are way harder to control, since it's harder to figure out where it comes from and there's certain inevitability in info slipping through the cracks that can't really be avoided (that is, you can't just get rid of factory workers in the same way that you can change the way you distribute info to retailers about upcoming sets). 

I often wonder where the sources for these WOM leaks are - I get the sense that some of the leakers have one specific source (maybe a friend that works for LEGO in some capacity or gets retailer catalogs super early) and others have a reputation as a reliable leaker and therefore have sources come to them.  I could be completely wrong on that, but that's just the impression that I get.  I know that I'll likely never know, because revealing sources could get someone fired, but it's something I'm curious about.

I suppose that's possible, but I feel factory leaks rarely manage to get that much. Even if it's not just a single part, it's usually only the unique parts of the fig- malak's cape, for example, isn't something I think we'd see, nor are fives's antenna and gun. Of course the guy could have applied them at home, but we don't usually see that with these sorts of leaks either. In addition, I can't remember the last time a cloth element leaked.

If the barge has more than the 2 figs rumored (It has to, right? There's no way they only do 2), I'm sure Max Rebo will show up. That said, the skeleton crew ship almost HAS to have that mold- one of the main kids is max rebo's species, so not including it would be like if the stranger things set didn't have one of the kids), so we can't say for sure that it's in the barge.

but realistically speaking, there's a reason we don't see full sets leak from the factory- the risk/reward is too low. The benefit is really only from the unique elements, so the risk of removing parts that prove nothing/won't sell for a ton on ebay doesn't pay off. The only way we'd see it is if someone somehow managed to smuggle a NISB set out of the factory, and... man, said factory would have to have absolutely 0 security for someone not to notice that. You can't exactly slip a $70 set into your back pocket.

Hopefully the Sail Barge isn't as underwhelming as what the recent rumors and speculation have been suggesting.

Aside from Max Rebo they've already had Bib Fortuna, Quarrens, Gamorrean Guards and Niktos in production over the past year. It would be stupid not to reuse them all here. And what's the point of even doing the barge if it doesn't include Jabba himself?

Its hard to imagine they would also leave out a detailed interior when the UCS Razor Crest and AT-AT both got one.

Yeah I’m not buying the rumors, it must be based on incomplete prelims, it’s only January, the set isn’t close to full production yet. The sail barge, even at figure scale, doesn’t need the interior support that an ISD or Venator require. It can be almost completely hollow. No one would buy a $600+ barge without an interior.

What do you guys think is our next UCS set after the sail barge? Big UCS set of the year, smaller UCS set of the year, etc. Personally I'm not sure what it could be, the sets for this year seem to be "villain" UCS sets, tie interceptor and jabba's sail barge. Next year I hope we get prequel stuff, e.g. a jedi interceptor or an arc 170, we've gotten alot of OT hero vehicles for UCS (x wing, A wing), so I hope we get some hero vehicles for the prequels. Or Lego might remake prior UCS sets, something like the B wing possibly, whose original UCS model people don't really like.

This is the big sticking point for me. If the set has two figs- not even jabba- and no interior, it doesn't sell. Not even close. This isn't a- nobody's a massive fan of the Khetanna. This would be like if they released Mos Eisley with Wuher and Han, and it was just the exterior of the building. That set would have gone from the bestseller it is to rivaling the Black Panther Bust and Elongated Hulkbuster in terms of discounts.

From the couple of blurry images available of the kid (who I believe is named Neel?), he looks pretty different from Rebo, different enough that it might be weird to use the same head mold for both. The species usually has a bit of a "worm on a string" facial structure, while Neel has wide cheeks that kinda make him look like the Max Rebo funko pop.

I probably would, but that’s because I’m way too into Jabba’s Palace & the surrounding stuff. I wouldn’t feel good about it though.

I don’t want to spoil anything else about the show for myself, so please don’t respond to this post with the answer, but I really hope the character canonizes 2-limbed Ortolans as was originally intended rather than the 4-limbed boring ones.

A backpack with BD-1 would be heaven but realistically we'll get a blue lightsaber and blaster

Where are the rumors about the Barge I haven't seen anything from the regular sources, so if anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be appreciated. 

I do think the recent releases minifigs-wise make me think it's safe to assume an interior is coming with reuses (ie Mos Eisley-esque) however if they don't include more than a couple of figs and are missing an interior IMO the set will be the most overpriced USC set ever. I know UCS isn't for figs and they're display sets but with the Barge that rule really doesn't apply. It'd be like if the sandcrawle came with a Jawa on a black display and no droids or figs in the joint. Nobody actually wants a big brown chunk (barge or crawler) sitting on their display with a random fig on a black UCS plaque. Those transports are made for to be MBS-style sets with a fleshed-out interior where iconic scenes can be created. It would be a massive missed opportunity to not create 3 or 4 exclusive figs and an incredibly detailed interior with moveable sections for viewing or display (much like the AT-AT).

Something else I think about the Barge (at least I did not see someone else say this already) is even without an interior you want figures on the top deck. Manning the turrets, R2D2 ready to save the day, C3PO spends most of his time downstairs but is up there at the end, Boba Fett starts there. Luke fights at least seven people up there, with usually four onscreen at least at a time and... okay I would bet on no Huttslayer Leia but this will be an 18+ set on the top shelf if its in the store at all, and unlike a throne room this is the moment every girl dreams of, strangling Jabba with the chain he tried to hold you with, she should be here.

But I dont think the most interesting 10 goons Luke takes out on top of the Barge and another Boba Fett justifies not even the single room for Jabba. And though that was a limited release item no longer available, I would not be making a UCS Sail Barge without looking at Hasbro's equivalent from a few years back and the huge emphasis it had on play, to the point of unseen locations that both make sense and are fun - a kitchen, jail cell and armoury. Should be a nobrainer for a Lego set to be a playset but somehow I expect the crowdfunded less than 10k produced item that should only consider what adults want to remember what play is more than Lego these days. But it still needs the one room we saw in the film.

And I might be being too negative because the information says it has nothing, other sets have had their needed interiors, regardless of execution.
