I just realised that Mando Moff has a new helmet mould (including a fifth fin/spike located on the front), instead of just reusing the Gar Saxon helmet!

Most likely named possibilities IMO: Admiral Piet, Captain Needa, Admiral Ozzel, General Veers (reuse from meditation chamber) and Vice Admiral Rae Sloane (Reuse from Tie bomber)

Generic Ranks that are most likely in a set like this: Captain, Admiral and Lieutenant.

Unless Renown’s hint is about Tarkin and this set, in which case all bets are off as to who could appear!

Not to be greedy but do we think the Peridea set will be revealed soon or is that releasing than the June sets?

Ezra (who we know is in that set) did appear in the anniversary video, so maybe? If it is releasing in June in some parts of the world, then early May is when we would get an official reveal.

The Death Star playset actually being a new playscale Star Destroyer changes everything! I was not all that excited for the Death Star but a I've always wanted but never had a playscale Star Destroyer.

Bummed about the Death Star changing to a Star destroyer.  That was the set I was most excited for this year.  Hopefully it is executed well, but this might be a pass for me if it did change.  (May just bricklink some of the minifigures). I would love a midi scale Star destroyer though, just not a play-set version.  Hopefully we see pictures soon to see if it’s worth picking up or not.  Also, if it is a Star destroyer instead of the Death Star missing on the Chimera option seems a bit odd on legos part.

I think I'll probably buy the microfighter and the mech, sell the builds and keep the figures.

Not to be rude, but who exactly do you think is out there waiting to buy a rexless microfighter y-wing or a pilotless pilot luke mech?

His clue is either Tarkin or Pershing.
We see Pershing entering the decomissioned Star Destroyer on Coruscant with Elia Kane.
Or It could be Tarkin's Star Destroyer.

If the set is a decomissioned star destroyer crashed on coruscant I will purchase a copy for you.

My thoughts:

$13 Rex- bit expensive for a minfigure, but the bag of spare parts makes up for that. (Because c'mon. Lego knows that's what they're doing, and I applaud them for decimating the scalpers like that). Day 1 buy.

$15? $16? Luke mech- this is the best one. The mechs are stupid, and leaning into that stupidity by making an X-wing mech with wings is a genius move. If I see it on sale, I might even pick it up and give it some joints and a head to make an X-wing Gundam.

$20 battle pack: I'm not going to lie I get why they don't just do terrain now, this is pretty bland. I personally like it, I like having the clear part in the set, and those imperials look great, it just feels more like a display set (plus the turret from the 332nd pack? what's up with that?) than a playset. But it's a battle pack so even though I doubt any kids care about the build, it's not like that's what they'd get the set for anyway. I suppose the value is there for $20 too, it's a fairly large amount of terrain. Not a day 1 purchase, but I'll probably end up getting a few copies at some point- hopefully on sale, but maybe not.

$FORTY DOLLAR bunker: Lego, for $30 this would have been an incredible set. Another one that's a veritable display set or moc in terms of how it looks, and it looks great. Unlike the battle pack, the sliding door and larger turret add a level of playability for kids, too. But man, is that a rough price. And given the figs, it'll probably do well too, so no getting it on a good discount. I already have Paz, and didn't care much for season 3, so I don't think I'll be picking this up unless I find it for $25 or less.

The fact that the set is a Star Destroyer is actually incredible and cements it as a purchase for me. The playsets are nice, but I don't think we were ever getting a display-worthy death star playset at that price, and I need to streamline my collection a bit for space reasons. But a new ISD after a FULL DECADE? That's incredible news. I'm definitely modding my 2014 model into the Kintsugi Chimera.

Yeah, I dunno. Probably nobody. It's probably not worth the effort.

Ah, good! I have been waiting for a new ISD!

OK; I am pleasantly surprised, as LEGO often makes variants of vehicles before their normal versions (Rex’s AT-TE, Coruscant Guard LAAT/i). I do want a Chimera (with Eye of Sion) at some point, but I would prefer a standard ISD first!

Deploy the garrison!

Yep. I just checked the other main Imperial officers from ESB/RotJ, and none of their actors were in an adaptation of 1984.
In this case, since we are getting an ISD instead of the Death Star, Renown hinting at Tarkin is more understandable (since he is not as obvious an inclusion as he would be in a Death Star playset).

Tarkin was in the 2006 Star Destroyer so why not in the new one :P

They're 100% saving that for the movie Filoni's working on, which is rumored (I dunno if you can even call it rumors after ahsoka and where Mando S3 ended) to be an Heir to the Empire loose adaption. (And by loose adaption, I mean early MCU style- same general storyline, but some very different characters involved and very different specific events)

2006 was a different time! We never see Tarkin on a Star Destroyer in the OT, so his inclusion is rather unusual.

I guess he's been on them in books, comics plus he was in one in the finale of you know what

That's if the movie ever gets made and is not an announcment that never goes into production like always  nowadays xD we get more projects announced than made.

Star Wars sets from August never get released in June for us Europeans :(

My only worry is that we'll never get the Zombie Nightroopers and Deathtroopers :( Hopefully in the January wave if possible.

Obviously! LEGO generally sticks with generic OT depictions, though, unless they are making a set specifically for a different piece of media (Rogue One, Rebels, etc). There is a bit of precedent for this in recent years, however, with Squadrons Rae Sloane in the TIE Bomber.

Star wars has a bad track record with that, but the only movie I'm more confident than the Filoni movie that it's coming is the Mando movie. The Heir to the Empire movie has been built up to pretty heavily in Ahsoka, and Mando's hinted at the general premise as well (moving away from a mandalore-focused story to him hunting the imperial remnent). But even putting that aside, this is Dave Filoni. If he's making a movie, it's being made.

I mean it doesn't always have to be accurate, like the Tie Bomber with Sloane and the Avengers Tower with Wasp and Wong

Idk man while I don't love the Ahsoka Show 100% I do like some of it and I hope the Filoni movie gets made but what I think is that it's all down to how Ahsoka Season 2 performs and if Disney think it's succesful, There's a reason we never got BOBF S2, but just the thought of Mando,Bo Katan,Ahsoka,Ezra,Boba and maybe Luke if they still care, fighting Thrawn and his army would be so cool and the set potential for that alone is worth it.

This has me thinking, since they got the Death Star playset wrong and it turns out to be a Star Destroyer, what are the chances of a Dark Side Millennium Falcon being wrong ?

Also since Marvel are doing rubber capes now, how long until Darth Vader get's one ?

I really, really, hope so! Either a standard OT Falcon, or a completely different ship, would be far better than a weird non-Canon, non-Legends, gimmick set.

That's a pretty cool wave, even though I couldn't care less about those sets.

The Microfighter is well built and an awesome way to get a detailed Rex.

The Mech is ridiculous, I do like the wings tho.

The Mandalorian sets have fantastic builds that I particularly enjoy, but Season 3 was some of the worst Star Wars media ever imo, so it's not like I'm thrilled about the sets or anything.

Surprising to hear that the Cal Kestis set is a Star Destroyer after all, wonder why there was so much mystery and confusion around this particular set.

He was on one more than once in Rebels too. Even if he doesn’t set foot on one in the OT, I don’t think it’s that big a leap for Lego to include him given it’s a big imperial based set.

Didn’t like mando s3 that much but those figures look really good want multiples of the Gideon clones as well as the guards.Thank the lord I was just going to buy the 2014 ISD and we finally get a updated one leaked with 1500 pieces on top of that.A new interior with improvements from the first order isd interior is the most exciting thing besides all the figs.

Good point!  Didn’t think of that but it makes sense.

Bwa ha ha! Love the mech! I hope they make a Tie mech next. And then a death star mech, and R2 mech...give me all the SW mechs. The more ridiculous, the better!

I wonder if that bunker set has anything interesting going on in the back.

I'm having nightmares imagining what a Death Star Mech would look like

He also was on an Imperial Venator in Episode 3 at the end but that doesn't count xD

I can't see it being a standard OT Falcon, since there have been fairly detailed minifigure descriptions from reliable sources (I believe Landino put up a pic a few weeks ago with mock-ups of what they're supposed to look like).  With the DS/ISD, I still don't really get what caused the confusion, but at least the minifigures would be pretty interchangeable.  The figures for this Dark Falcon seem like a mix of non-canon and canon but not in the same scenes, so the ship pretty much has to be something non-canon.

There was something about it being based on a What If Disney+ show for Star Wars but I don't know

I'm assuming people have said this before, but I just found some of the new Series 26 space collectible minifigures, and I wonder if the Orion figure means that we could get Force Ghost/hologram figures, finally.

The head, hair, accesories, arms and legs are all translucent, however, the torso and hips aren't.  I'm wondering if the translucent parts are weaker, and thus the pieces with the most stress on them are made out of a standard color.  At the very least, if they can't do a fully translucent figure, I think a Force Ghost could look okay if they made the torso/hips a light blue (or the closest blue to the trans-blue that they'd use) and then the rest were translucent.

I'm also not sure if they could do Yoda, since his head is rubbery, but Obi-Wan and Anakin could at least work.  Maybe next time we get a Dagobah set, it could include Force Ghost Obi-Wan.
