Could someone explain to me where the black falcon's figures are from, please? Of course I know Darth Jar Jar as a fan theory, but Darth Sev for example seems to be a twilek from the old republic, when I google him.

They're from the upcoming animated miniseries "Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy" which really means they're from the Department of Fun Stuff and Heel Turns. Darth Sev is the one character in that set who is entirely original to Rebuild the Galaxy instead of being a flipped version of an existing character.

Meh. 😕
The set looks basically how I expected it to (so a pass), but I had hoped for at least some useful Minifigs. Dark Rey is not bad, though her eyes are odd and she needs leg printing, and White Vader is a good depiction of his Star Wars Infinities counterpart; the others are disappointing, however. Beach Luke is just silly (missed opportunity for Cassian’s Niamos outfit!), Creepio has silver leg print (so no way to use him to make a fully gold Threepio), and Darth Jar Jar is bland apart from the head. Darth Dev/Sev (sp?) is extremely detailed and cool-looking (to include arm printing), but unfortunately LEGO again passed on the opportunity to base his design on something that actually appears somewhere in Canon/Legends (such as an Inquisitor, Starkiller, or battle-damaged Vader). He is useful for custom Inquisitors or Old Republic Sith, though, which is nice. Unfortunately, it does not seem that the concept is being used to give us characters and outfits that we may otherwise not get (e.g. Moff Mothma, Rebel General Tarkin (Madine’s uniform), etc).
I also feel like LEGO pushed the meme-y vibe and OCs too far; White Vader could have been a May the Fourth gift and Dark Rey could have been an anniversary ‘fig, for example. IMO, a better set would have just been a Jedi Bob vs. Darth Jar Jar (with Dev/Sev’s torso and legs) set with Rebel Friend and a Beach Trooper; build would be two obscure Legends starfighters (or maybe a JSF vs. TIE Defender) and a Minikit for $110. Stretching the concept out over three sets at varying price-points just feels like too much, and takes up slots that could have been used for better sets. 🫤

The Dark Falcon does not catch me.

Thank God it is not called Black Falcon though or we would have gotten a continuation of the Key & Peele Sketch 😂

I will try to get the Dark Rey and maybe the 3P0. The White Vader I don‘t need. This itch got filled by the Black Series.

Overall I‘m more happy about the Sail Barge leak, albeit just a photo of an inner box.

The Dark Falcon looks interesting!
I love the Death Star laser dish

The minifigs are definitely the highlight (as usual, for me). Not a clue who Dark Dev(?) is but his parts seem interesting.
Darth Rey is nicely done, as well as Darth Jar Jar, but my favorite is White Vader

Mitch

He‘s one of the original characters created for the special, like the Freemakers or Jek-14 :classic: The other two are included in the X-Wing & TIE set.

Ah, yes, that figures, of course :innocent:
At this rate, I'll be getting the entire series from SW:RtG. I'm very fascinated by it.

Also, it would be nice if Beach Luke has an alternate face without sunglasses, but I don't think that'll happen...

Looks like no "evil Chewie" which was originally rumoured. Wonder what happened with that.

Luke and Dev weren't on the original list so maybe one of them somehow got confused for Chewie if it was a low-quality image the leakers saw?

I wouldn't try to make logical assumptions or try to make sense of it because most of the leaks we got for this year were completely wrong. The Koska Reeves leak in the battle pack made me more excited than any of the other sets or figures, followed by the Panaka minifigure, and both of them turned out to be false leaks. Leakers and YouTubers kept talking about a creature with multiple eyes that wasn't recognizable, and that set ended up being some custom droid-building kit or whatever. The Death Star playset, which was supposed to accompany Yavin 4 set from the last year, ended up being a Star Destroyer. That's just on top of my head.

Yes! Dark Falcon is all I hoped it would be. This is the kind of set that hits me just right. It's clever, it's cool, it's something both my son and I want. Day 1 purchase.

I might pick up a few of the figures but the dark falcon is a miss for me. My wallet (and my wife) will be relieved that I’m only interested in the Thrawn and Jedi Bob sets from this summer. I do love a Jedi starfighter I hope it’s in a new colour

It seems like generally, minifigure lists from leaks can be very hit and miss, even from reliable leakers.  The only people I would be 100% confident in if they leaked a minifigure are some of the folks that drop info on Eurobricks exclusively and are proven to be legitimate.  Instagram has too many people looking for attention (such as whoever made up that "multiple eyes" creature build leak, which was like 99% fake from the get-go), and for whatever reason, it seems like the major blogs get minifigure selections wrong often.

I feel like we've had other examples of figure lists being wrong in past years, but it got amplified this year because of the whole "Death Star is actually an ISD" thing, which is the first time I can really remember major leakers being totally off on something.

While the figures leave a bit to be desired (save for Darth Rey and this new guy), I think the build is pretty nice. I'd likely swap heads between Jar Jar and the Dev guy (seriously, Lego, that's how you should've designed him to begin with), which makes me happier about Jar Jar. Vader is still cool, but the big Lukbowski does nothing for me. Fleshie civilian parts always welcome though.

Photos of the X-wing vs. TIE are out! The set actually looks pretty good; the struts connecting the TIE's cockpit to the wings are too blocky (to accommodate the wing-swapping feature) and the tip of the X-wing's nose looks a bit small, but otherwise I like them. I definitely prefer the X-wing's nose shaping on this version over the previous ones, and I like seeing the TIE Bomber style windscreen come back (spring-shooters have been moved to the struts). The Minifigs also are decent; Yesi Scala and Sig Greebling are both more useful as background characters (Rebels, cantina patrons, etc) than any of the Dark Falcon Minifigs, and we get a standard TIE pilot and Rebel pilot (I cannot tell whose helmet he has). L3-G0 is silly (but a cute idea, even if he comes out looking more like a McDroid!), but I can let it slide because the other Minifigs are actually good. I am a bit disappointed that the pilot does not have dual-moulded legs (not that I expected them) or a new face (female, or darker skin), and that the TIE pilot has a reused standard helmet (it would have been nice to see either a new paint scheme or an entirely new mould for one of the Squadrons helmets).

L3-G0 is brilliant! I also love the new Rebel Pilot, and both canon builds seem decent.

Even if L3-G0 is secretly a spy for McDonald's, it'll go down as one of the best minifigures in history.

X-wing is stubby, and the transition from the nose to the fuselage is rough.

I don’t know how we went from the tie bomber and tie interceptor cockpits to this new tie fighter. I know spheres are hard to replicate in Lego, but this might be the worst attempt since the original.

OK, L3-G0 is really clever. I might have to pick them and Darth Rey up on Bricklink.

Both sets look good. I doubt I'll pick them up, but they look like such good dumb fun. I'm glad they made these after all.

Too bad both pilots are just the regular versions, I was hoping for a crazy mash-up with those as well, like a swapped colour scheme or something :shrug_oh_well: The other figures are cool though (especially L3-G0) and the builds look great too! Can't wait to see the other sets! :excited:

There are also more pictures of the Falcon's boxart. Seems like the interior features a prison cell and a throne for Darth Jar Jar :laugh_hard:

The X-Wing looks good aside from the tall landing gear. The shaping along the nose really elevates it above previous models. Not really a fan of the new TIE Fighter. It looks too blocky to me like that 4+ version they released a few years ago.

The Dark Falcon looks good but its a shame they're not using the cockpit piece that was created for the 2022 City Space sets. Both parts are still in production and would look a lot better than the huge cone pieces the Falcon has been stuck with since 2004.

Hopefully they've also fixed the misaligned boarding ramp from the TROS Falcon.

75392 Droid Factory was just revealed via an ad to pre-order it, it features small buildable figures of R2-D2, R2-KT, Chopper, and an Imperial R5 Unit. It's allegedly the set that will include the Young Leia minifigure.

Personally I'm not too interested in it - one $100 buildable R2-D2 set is enough for me for one year - and I'm curious to see how well it sells compared to the large R2 at the same price point.

The new X-Wing looks great, adding those angles to the fuselage makes a massive difference in improving its accuracy to the source material. I don’t think we’re terribly far away from yet another X-Wing set in a few years time that’ll truly be a mini-UCS.

The TIE Fighter…meh. I’m sorry, but obscuring the visibility of minifigures within single-pilot starfighters just doesn’t sit well with me. It’s a weird thing to nitpick but it makes a difference when you can see the pilot in the ship.

The Dark Falcon looks just as wacky as I thought it’d be, I may just buy it depending on my thoughts on the other summer sets. Really annoying just how much these reveals are being dragged out.

Regarding the picture of the Droid Builder set, it looks charming in some ways, but the set is definitely a skip for me.
