Only includes R2; you have to get Anakin in the advent calendar 6 months later.

The year is 2031. The 9th remake of Anakin's Jedi Interceptor is released on shelves for $100. It has 246 pieces and only 1 minifigure. Many people still buy it Day 1 so Lego starts preparing the next one to be $110.

This is so unrealistic. It's 1 minifigure AND R2-D2's head (not the rest of the droid, it's for accuracy reasons)

(As a complete side note, I hate the jedi starfighter design astromech integration. It just can't happen. The spacing doesn't work. How did that get approved?)

I bought the Peridea set, and I really like it. The figures are excellent (Thrawn is my favorite here, I think. Ahsoka and Ezra are excellent and I'm glad they put the extra effort in to give the Morgan fig a new face, but Thrawn is just a perfect Legends Thrawn.), and the build is really sizable and nice. I definitely think it's worth the price.

Man the first normal Anakin face, since 2020. I never liked the headset print neither the '2012 chad anakin face' looked like the clone wars versions without that weird eyes

I really hope these rumours are true, but let’s see what the reputable leakers say given that they’ve offered no comment yet. Some thoughts:

- Does yet another RotS / late TCW Anakin really justify the price increase? Now if this is Anakin in his early Clone Wars armour with accurate colouring, arm printing etc. then I’m all for it. But a RotS Anakin should just come in a RotS set. Getting Anakin and Obi-Wan in their early Clone Wars armour is my final wishlist for Lego coverage of that era.

- For some ‘synergy’ with the Ahsoka flashback scenes, giving a younger variant with the updated outfit from the early Clone Wars makes sense to me, even if canonically she doesn’t use an Eta-2 until much later. It would be awesome if Lego actually made a new smaller montral piece for her too.

- If they really are revisiting the Eta-2 cockpit, then it’s about time! That ship and the Snowspeeder are both vehicles that have sorely needed significant overhauls for years at this point.

The thing is the current general ETA 2 build is based around that massive cockpit part, really a new more accurate design would be smaller, so why do pricey? I guess it could have another side build, like a small vulture droid, the other Ahsoka Starfighter did anyway.

Also Anakin isn't a very exciting extra figure. There are a hundred and one sets he could come in, he's one of the leads of three movies and multiple shows. Someone more unique like Taun Wae was for Obi's Starfighter would be nicer. Of course this isn't confirmed anyway maybe it'll come with a jedi temple guard or something really cooll (Especially as a guard could be reused in a MBS Jedi temple or made massable with a magazine or something).

My guess is that we will see latter half clone wars anakin and ahsoka, and IMO he needs a new hairpiece, depicting his curly hair from Ahsoka show. I guess they could keep the old hair if they did early CW anakin, but It makes more sense to go with the look that would satisfy the desire for ROTS coverage next year and the desire to cover the flashback episode of Ahsoka.

I am very excited about the rumored overhaul on the eta build, new cockpit mold would be a dream come true. If they can improve the cockpit and get the s-foils flush to the wings it would be perfect. It's one of my favorite star-fighters but the lego version has yet to really achieve the silhouette and proportions.

Agree about the snowspeeder--It's so wild to me that the UCS Hoth waves came and went without a new Snowspeeder model. I can't believe lego missed that window.

Well, I asked about LSW dioramas a little while back. This article would seem to suggest the LSW dioramas might continue next year. Dioramas in general are apparently "very popular" and Cesar Soares said he must have "made at least a dozen different ones from across several movies and several TV shows" (for Star Wars, I assume - the quote doesn't say it explicitly). This is good news.

I do hope we get more, simply because there are still some obvious choices to be made in the format. It'd be crazy if they don't do a Mustafar diorama next year (as overpriced as it will inevitably be) :laugh_hard:

Finally some good news for LSW 2025. This is awesome. And not just film based, dioramas for the TV shows?!?!

The dioramas are the only 18+ sets i approve. They are a nice combination of playsets and display sets  Like a playset upgraded with greater detail.

The dioramas are awesome (better with minifigures, although the Death Star trench was cool).  I am good if the theme continues long term.  Top three for me were the throne room, speeder chase, and Death Star trench in order (and meditation chamber would be third as a diorama precursor).

It would be a huge shame if they stopped making dioramas. They gave do much potential, and are perfect for collectors who want to neatly display a single scene from one of the movies.

They better not be stopping the Dioramas before they make a ISD bridge!! It would be such a missed opportunity.

As for TV shows. I feel like the Cadet Training from both Clone Wars and Rebels would make excellent dioramas.

Has anyone found the lego sw magazine with Sabine outside of Spain? This mag is so weird spitting out different minifigs from one country to the next. There used to be a delay of a month or two for one particular issue to show up in one country or another but more recently it feels like a minifig showing up in one country is no guarantee it will resurface elsewhere.

Still no Sabine in Germany - the next minifig is a TIE pilot.

I think UK is next Wed and France/Lux 28 Aug. Still keeping my fingers crossed I find it, or a bigger discount on the full set is finally offered.

That’s cool, which version is it? They aren’t going to be crazy and chuck the UCS one in there are they lol. We’ve actually been really lucky this year with the minifigure in the magazine am I right in thinking we’ve only had one month where it was a small build the rest was figures?

I think it's the 2023 version. The arms don't seem to be printed.

In a German forum they posted the sales data for the Lego magazines and while the LSW magazine was on top of the charts in the first quarter of 2024, the LSW magazine sales data for the second quarter was not reported at all. This might indicate a sharp drop of sales. All other Lego Magazines massively droped in sales too. Looks like all the price increases we had recently are taking their toll.

So far I bought only one issue of the LSW magazine this year, the one with Palpatine. A sharp drop when i compare it with previous years where I used the magazines to build a collection of minifigures (to put into mocs).

Thats odd allright, usualy Germany is a month ahead of UK/Ireland.

I once thought that too, but it turns out it's never that simple. For example we had the 501st sniper and imperial shuttle order inverted compared to the magazines available on continental Europe and even they aren't consistent with each other either.

Good to hear that dioramas haven’t gone the way of the dodo yet! :purrr: The TV comment is interesting too, since we havn’t seen any dioramas based on shows yet, SW or otherwise. Sounds like they have something up their sleeves :excited:
