I’m liking the sounds of the sets, something new but also I think after this year maybe we need to leave the P2 clones for a while. But my wallet is going to be crying at the end of the summer with all these. Summer waves haven’t been afraid to do something different past few years which I respect there’s only so many Lukes Landspeeders I can tolerate lol. 

im hoping we might get some sets from anything but Clone wars for 2026 onwards we’ve got a while with no new SW media (except for Andor) so there is a chance to do some other stuff without having to cover new films/series

As for the rest of the leaks, a $50 Turbo Tank? Lmao…I’m glad I’m not growing up during this era of Lego Star Wars. The adults sets are often phenomenal, but the kids are left to rot. 

2021 was basically the same:

UCS Gunship & AT-AT and a UCS Remake, marked as Buildable Figures (R2-D2 in 21). 

AT-ST sounds much better than my prediction. 
 

When we got the Ahsoka Fan Legion Battle Pack I was hoping for a Bly instead. Now it feels boring and lame. I‘m cloned out for now.

I have to agree that some of the rumours sound a bit fishy since we’ve recently had two fake rumours involving the 327th (first a headhunter and then the swamp speeder BP), so it could be someone trying to go for a hattrick  

Assuming the list is real though: I‘m far from being a Clone Bro, but having the 327th and Galactic Marines in the same wave is pretty amazing! That said, after that, I hope that‘s it with CTs for a while  Other factions need some love too!

Having so many TCW sets in one year is kinda odd in general, but I‘ll take it since it‘s a lot of new stuff! We‘ve never had Ahsoka‘s Eta-JSF, a CIS MTT, or an UT-AT before 

I know a lot of people are displeased with 2025‘s offerings, but personally I‘m pretty satisfied! TROS Palpy, more Night Troopers, Galactic Marines, and, if we‘re lucky, Bacara, Bly, and a new CIS higher-up like Wat Tambor were all pretty high on my wishlist!

I was on the fence about a UT-AT, not a huge fan of the in universe design, but the Galactic Marines and Bacara were the "Clone Commander" and "Heavy Trooper" from the OG Battlefront II, so I was excited. Not at that price though!

327th battle pack could be fine at $40 if its one of those vs battle packs like the rebels and imperial one

Most excited for a MTT, don't really care if its the same size as the 2014 one as long as the shaping is good, but I'm going to end up modding it anyway

I guess this year and next year they are focusing on the more obscure paint jobs for iconic vehicles?

That seems a lot more believable to me. I'm still not sold on the 327th "leak" either, even for Lego's standards that just seems like way too many clones. Honestly 75414 being RtG is still not that exciting though. I wasn't a huge fan to begin with but I felt like it was fine for one year. Doing even more next year, when we already have so few playset slots, is just kinda annoying imo.

While I’m not necessarily excited about a rebuild the Galaxy set that absolutely sounds more plausible to me. That batch of 3 rumors just didn't sound real, and the lack of a listed specific trusted source makes me doubt their validity.

We've had $40 pseudo battle-packs before with 4 minifigures, some with some droids too, some without. I would bet money that this set only includes four clone troopers.

You're correct, of course. How could I be so biased against the prequels? That is, after all, what motivates all lego designers' decisions- hatred of the prequels, clone troopers, and specifically fans of content featuring clones. This has been well-established.

(I do kind of feel bad for prequel movie fans catching strays when the majority of prequel sets released are TCW based)

I actually am surprised they never did a clone helmet with spare parts for legion markings. It's something I would have bought a few years ago, before the clones attacked.

Yes! Exactly! These guys were my main skins in battlefront 2017. Just a few years ago I'd have been over the moon to get a 327th battle pack. Nowadays, it's "I'll pick one up if they hit a solid discount".

Well, the original leaker (a.clay.brick) is saying that he fully believes in those rumours, and that the source which provided them hasn't been wrong even once in the past.

Could go either way, but I believe it for now.

No source is 100% infallible so I'm always open to even the most reliable sources being proven wrong of course, but yep! Regulars in Brick Tap can definitely attest to the fact that the two people who mentioned the Turbo Tank, Rad and the other source, have been consistently reliable. They're the two who set straight all the information from DaveBricks a few months ago, as well as being the sources of a lot of rumors I've made graphics for, including How to Train Your Dragon and the upcoming Blacktron set. I definitely understand people's hesitation with trusting the rumors though, the sources don't want their names on the graphics and the rumors are very odd. But based on their previous track records and the fact that they both mentioned it, I see no reason not to trust what they've said.

I personally trust the leaks, we saw something very similar play out April 1, 2023 with the Venator, Gunship, and Ghost and everybody thought those were wrong but look what happened. And the AT ST for me is extra confirmation cause that’s not a set people are constantly wishlisting for. The only one I’m iffy about is the AT UT since it’s 50/50 split amongst leakers.

Similarly, the Rebuild the Galaxy sets seemed bananas, like the leakers were trolling us, until information about the show came out. So we'll just have to wait and see with the bananas leaks for 2025.

I think it's funnier if every RTG set is "evil *vehicle name*" regardless of alignment, but I like the idea that what makes the clone turbo tank evil is that it's small. (Also fits with the $50 price point).

Yeah. I'd say this wave is worse, because it cements the lack of variety and bimodal approach to sets (50% clone based system sets, 50% 18+ gimmick sets), but nothing is going to beat the shock upon hearing the words "jedi bob's starfighter" or "evil millennium falcon"

Honestly I hate RTG because when those leaks happened I just thought LEGO had snapped and made random megablocks for no reason. Way less funny it was just tie ins to a show

TBF none of these sets are TCW based, ARC 170, 327 battle pack, the Galactic Marine transport, Turbo Tank, Plo Koon microfighter are all RotS sets. It's really just the Ashoka ship from the start of this year, no?

Eh I think it makes sense, they've already done the brown version a couple times so why not do a different color scheme? I do wonder how they decide that stuff though, like do they do some kind of analysis to try and determine which version would sell better or is it just "oh well already did the brown one a couple times, let's change it up." I'm guessing it's the latter but it's funny to think it could be the first option.

Allegedly the MTT is in the clone wars color scheme.

Though you do have a good point that a chunk of the sets this wave either are or have the potential to be ROTS based. Ironically, this is similar to the Outer Rim Sieges wave from 2014 I was talking about- I don't dislike the concept, but as the sets are all just vehicles for clones, and it's pretty much all we're getting rather than just part of a year that also included Hoth sets, Mos Eisley, and a Star Destroyer, I'm not giving them a pass.

Sure, but it's been over a decade. I'm not opposed to getting more obscure stuff, but when it's been this long since the last one I'd prefer the more iconic versions. Especially since I would put money down that the CIS color scheme is so they can include clone troopers.

I'd love to have more from the Skeleton Crew! The ship just can't be it, considering the show is fun and especially kids enjoying it. Some smaller sets with e.g. the kids and their bikes, SM-33 and Jod in the droid workshop, Khymm and her observatory, something with the pirates... there is so much potential!
