LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I am certain that there’s still got to be some sort of Tie Fighter next year. It’s unheard of for Lego to not release one in a year.

What do ya’ll think it could be?

I mean. Lego’s usually very good at balancing out OT factions. So what’s supposed to go up against the U-Wing?

I'm sure there has got to be at least one more non-CW/Ep3 minifigure system set but Hmm.

I was more wondering when they were coming are they being spread out over different waves like last year of is it just random at this point. All the RoTS/CW stuff is that June/August?

We’ve had the bomber, interceptor and we’ve currently got the RTG on the shelves so unless it’s Vaders Tie, a defender or something else it seem unlikely. The only chance would be from Andor but isn’t the current thinking we are only getting U wing and K2S0

Okay so if I recall correctly it's:

May: Kylo's Shuttle Midi scale, U-Wing, Buildable C1-10P, UCS Jango's Slave 1, Jango Fett Helmet, Star wars Logo, Kylo Helmet 

June: Nighttrooper Battle pack (which I missed out earlier), Maul Mech, Plo's Microfighter, 

August: Big AT-ST, Turbo Tank, 327th Pack, CIS MTT, Buildable Ewok ( which I forgot to mention in the initial reply), buildable K2-SO

October: Big Big Huge Ginormous Dear star

That might not be 100% right, some I was more sure on than others.

Don't. I'm sure the ARC will hit 20% discounts eventually- in my opinion it's not horribly priced, at least for LSW2025, but if you can wait I don't think you'll have trouble getting it later in the year. The Ahsoka Fighter, on the other hand, is one that I seriously hope will be $30 within a year of release, though I am concerned given that other sets I thought were particularly egregiously priced (The X-jet) haven't seen many discounts almost a year in.

To my knowledge there are only two the entire year- the Night Trooper BP and the Andor U-wing.

We didn't get a figure scaled or UCS tie in 2022, so it isn't without precedent. While we're overdue an Advanced (and as unlikely as a new defender is, it would be nice), it doesn't seem to be in the cards this year.

I was going to say "this isn't the case, there's nothing stopping them from making an OT or rebels set" but... yeah, our only chance is Andor.

With all the recent rumours, I wonder how many 2HY sets we still don‘t know about yet. Can‘t be that many, right? 

@a_clay_brick made a really helpful post on the usual platform (not IG, the other one) summarising the known rumours for August 2025. 75428, 75432, and 75433 are still unknown for the summer wave, taking us to 7 system sets for the summer as a whole (assuming those 3 are system sets). 

Can’t wait for more information. I know clone fans are eating well next summer but there’s still a lot we don’t know and I doubt Max’s positive hints for next summer were directed towards clone fans only.

By far the best case scenario would be a set based on the Ryloth arc with Wat Tambor and Cham Syndulla, as some have suggested. They could even sneak in a reference to the arc of the covenant!

Do you think that they'll include any 327th troopers with the normal yellow pauldrons in addition to the ones with the brownish coloured ones? I don't think the normal yellow ones appear in the movies but I think they appear in some games and toys.

I think we'll be lucky if the basic troopers HAVE pauldrons. Lego is becoming more and more hesitant to use cloth pieces.

It is hard to believe honestly. I know there have been quite a few variations of it (three from 2015 to 2019), and the sequel version isn't really that different, but the fact that you haven't been able to get a standard OT Falcon for well over ten years is just wild. I like that Lego wanted to try something different but I feel like the Dark Falcon should have been the normal version, given how long it's been. I guess we'll probably get one within the next three or four years, though.

At the very least I have to assume the gap between the dark Falcon and the next one will be shorter than the 5 year gap between the 9 Falcon and the dark Falcon. It’ll probably be more like how the solo Falcon was around for 2 years before it got replaced.

Absolutely agree with this idea, but the fact they made nein nunb an anniversary figure makes me doubt they’ll ever do that. I hope they prove me wrong though.

I feel like they won’t only because it would have been the perfect opportunity for Nien Numb. Seeing as he was an anniversary figure last year I doubt they have plans to put him in a normal set. if they did it would give me hope that the anniversary figs will pop up again especially Cal Kestis but then we would all be annoyed at them wasting an anniversary figure slot for them to release the figure in a normal set a year or two later

Tbh I'd rather they stick to how they are in the movie. I want the regular troopers rather than stuff like the Battlefront classes as they did with the 501st or other obscure variants.

It's possible but I highly doubt the troopers get theirs. Bly may well get his, but I don't think the grunts will.

While I agree there is a high likelihood that the troopers won’t get pauldrons, i think there is a chance that since bly has an identical one, they’ll include them for everyone, as they will have already made the part, so using it more is more economical.

I hope for a TIE Advanced. Love to see a Defender Elite; it’d be a good excuse for S4 Ezra and Sabine.

Don’t forget that we still have a TIE Bomber and regular TIE on shelves still; people won’t be starving for TIEs next year if no new sets are made in 2025. Plus, given how the TIE in the X-Fighter V. TIE-Wing set looks, I don’t think I trust TLG with creating playset TIEs anymore.

 

Side note, I would love to see the B-Wing return as a regularly-sized playset after so long. (Monkey’s paw can’t stop me now.)

Forgot to specify retail. I’ve doomed us all.

If that were the case, though, I’d care not. A holiday-themed B-Wing would serve me ill, thus I’d forgo piecing it together exactly 1:1. Since I’m recolouring the set anyway, I would ignore specific part recolours, substituting the unobtainable pieces until they are released in other sets. A unique torso wouldn’t bother a longwinded, non-completionist simpleton like me either.

After Bly and Bacara are made, which Clone Commanders apart from Wolffe could justifiably be made?

 

They’re running out of commanders that could be recognised by casuals.

I'm pretty certain that casuals don't know any clone commanders besides Rex and Cody and even then that's probably only if they watched Clone Wars. The real question is probably who else can Lego make that clone fans will care about. Wolffe is obvious and I guess they could update Gree but yeah beyond that I really don't know. I guess there's a question of how much clone fans care about recognizability, but until we get more relatively obscure legions and see how much people care, I don't think we can say.

I believe they should switch to the named clones in the 501st to round out the CW cast—but I don’t want to hear the multitude of “enough 501st already” comments again.

Casuals would probs only know Cody because he’s actually named in RoTS. Oddballs also mentioned but I had no idea if he is a commander. The rest you’d have to have watched something outside of the films. I think we are running out of commanders unless they wannna redo the kashykk troopers and Gree. I see a switch to P1 troopers is coming soon. 

it would be nice to have some Prequel location sets before we start getting a few new SW films/series 

I noticed the 2025 rumour thread hasn’t been updated with the latest info for the spring/summer is that because we aren’t 100% sure or because they just haven’t been added.
