Yep, would be great to see these minifigures in smaller sets in the years to come. I just hope it's not some April Fools joke!

Time to start saving!

Good news, it’s not an April Fools joke and my info from late last year was super wrong. Thank god lol.

:excited:

Here's hoping Jabba will be available in another set next year.

I don't have near that much cash or room for the set, but at least those minifigs/molds are getting reintroduced - and hopefully they can pull a Rex and get used in cheaper sets down the line.

Any bets on a Max Rebo mech for Summer 2025?

Haha, would be the first mech i buy

I honestly think that a Max Rebo mech would sell just as well, if not better, than a lot of the other mechs that Lego's put out. Let Jabba and maybe Crumb be reused for a smaller playscale set, keep Leia and some of the aliens exclusive, like Yularen... And let Max have a mech, because why not?!

I doubt it would ever happen, though.

If true, I think this is getting the $500 tag, for sure. Likely will also be classified as an MBS.

Personally doubt LEGO will call this MBS. It's a UCS with some inevitable interior areas, similar to the Falcon with it's lineup of figs.

Maybe how the piece(s) interact with the Sail Barge?

Welp, I saw the thread had the "HOT" tag and assumed whatever I was about to read about was going to be an April Fools... so I didn't get excited... until your post. Thanks for confirming (as much as can be confirmed on 4/1, anyways lol). This is easily the best news of the year for Lego. As much as I like collecting minifigures, what really makes it enjoyable are builds to dis/play with them. Hope these Jabba sets look worthy of the UCS/MBS tag.

The minifigure selections of the Sail Barge sets sound nice, and I'm glad that they seem to complement each other, but I'm not sure about the quantity.  Cloud City and the Cantina both had 20+ if you count droids, so 10 is just a little bit light.

I get that they didn't want to repeat figures across the Barge and Sarlacc sets, so that kind of eliminates Luke/Han/Chewie/Boba/Lando, and I'm assuming that the Barge is simply too large to downscale and have included the Sarlacc + skiff(s), so splitting the sets was probably their best option there, but I feel like 5-6 more figs would've been nice, especially since Salacious Crumb isn't even really a figure.

Say, those ten, plus another Gamorrean or two (assuming it's just the one, I think it'd be a little bit odd if it didn't come with at least two), a Nikto (since that won't require a new mold), a Quarren (mold already exists), and maybe Saelt-Marae (Yak-Face) as the major Jabba's Palace alien still unmade.

Normally, I'm totally fine with figure selections in UCS sets, I think getting 1-2 in a UCS ship is more than generous, but this one seems to be playscale, so I think 15-20 is more apt, especially at a $500 price point.  I'll reserve judgement until we have pictures, but 10 just seems a little light.

I'm glad we're getting a bigger selection of characters than what was originally suggested. Pretty solid line up overall but I am a little disappointed that we're not getting Ree-Yees, Tessek or Yak Face. Still its nice to see that Leia wasn't excluded and we're getting Klaatu for the first time.

Hopefully this set can lead to the palace getting revisited sometime in the next couple of years.

While this certainly sounds cool, I'll never be able to afford a $500 set (heck, a $100 set is pushing it for me)--so I hope some of these characters (Jabba, Bib Fortuna, Max Rebo, etc.) eventually become available in sets that are more affordable.

A Jabba's palace diorama or system set would seem appropriate for 2025 if they're going through the trouble to make a new mould.

HYPE TRAIN FOR THR BARGE IS BACK ON THE TRACKS BOYS!!!!! I’m so excited that while the mini figure lineup isn’t perfect, between the two sets you get the key players and I’m so excited to get my hands on a Max Reebo. The Barge for me is my favorite Star Wars vehicle, so seeing it get the UCS treatment is sublime.

This would’ve been a great opportunity to include Sy Snootles, and Droopy McCool. Heck updated versions of Bossk and Dengar as well. But overall I think it’s a good selection and amount.

You're definitely right, it'll be a new mold, if for no other reason than it's been 11 years since the last one. I hope they take the opportunity to change the mold. I feel like the bottom part of the 2013 mold could use brick-built additions, as well as making the tail an existing tail piece.

I dunno if I'd want the MBS budget going towards new (and likely exclusive) Bossk and Dengar variants rather than just putting them in sets in the next year or two.

Love it when leakers react like this, instead of acting like they're infallible. I'm also very happy that there are so many figs, and desirable ones at that.

Thanks for being honest! This is good news indeed. Nothing in the leak that said anything about an interior, but with these figs there has to be one, right?

So do I. Either a unique color that Lego fans like or there's some lore around (teal, sand red, maybe that new tomato soup color), or if we have to play it a little safer, something referential to old lego star wars color schemes, like black and bright blue.

Or- and hear me out- pearl gold starfighter.

Oh my, I just had a crazy thought: what if it's white, black, and the new reddish orange to fit the color scheme of the cross-theme Space initiative they've been doing this year and they slap the Space logo on the corner of the box! That would be absolutely  wild but I'd be here for it :roflmao:

Same, I'll never be able to afford it but I'm always happy tohappyeither new or returning Star Wars alien molds. It always sucks when they're a one-off in an old expensive set. It's too bad Ree-Yees isn't listed but I'll be happy to maybe have a chance of getting Max Reebo off bricklink for a less than eye-watering price. I would absolutely buy a Max Reebo mech.

As for other possible figures, I feel like Sy Snoodles is sorely missing. That'd be quite an interesting figure to be sure.

I don't see a need for a new Jabba mold but perhaps it's just a slightly updated version of the old one since that one was most certainly discontinued. I still need Jabba and Salacious Crumb in my collection so hopefully the price of both on the aftermarket will drop a bit. Better yet, I hope they appear in a more affordable Jabba's throne room set in the near future.

It’s good to get more news on the Sail Barge, especially with the increased minifigure count. I’m excited to see how Jabba is new, unless it’s just “new” because it hasn’t been in production for a while. This also bodes well for interior space. I do have one question, however. Some posts that I have seen lists the piece count as 3,249 pieces, including Maxbautde’s original updated post with the new minifigure list. On the other hand, other posts, like Brick_Clicker’s and original the piece count one from January say it has 3,942 pieces. Do we know which is accurate?

Agreed. However I wouldn’t mind if it was Pink and had an astromech socket for R2 KT.

Do we have any predictions on what the second figure in that set may be? I believe it was confirmed to not be an astromech. I liked Mandr’s theory of it being a Phase1 clone pilot, despite not being a fan of his channel. I would love it if it was Fordo. Mostly because it would shut up all the annoying ‘Clone’ stans who are whining that it’s unfair that we not getting any Clone sets this August.

Looks like someone mixed up the numbers.

3942 parts for 550$/€ sounds better though.

Max confirmed the 3.942 pieces in an Edit of his original IG post.

The price is still something to debate, though. Either 500$ (Brickclicker), or 550€ (Max).
Or both prices are true 🤷‍♂️

500 or 550, anyway, I never buy such large sets. Somehow I always feel like I can not justify spending so much money on a single Lego set.

I tend to buy less sets every year (and more parts from PAB) and the only five sets I plan to buy this year are all LSW sets:

  • 2x Tantive IV hallway
  • 2x Battle of Peridea
  • Escape from the Sarlacc Pit

And i hope for some nice minifigs that will come with the magazines
