I would seriously hope plastic pauldrons appear before, say, capes for the jedi and sith. Like you say, they could be a legitimate improvement. (Honestly, the pauldrons always made more sense as plastic- they seem plasticy in real life, don't they? And they certainly seem harder and less malleable than, say, jedi robes) 3 hours ago, Llewop said: I wondered if it’s production issues? Seems like the only logical choice. Although I don’t like this drip feeding of sets I prefer the good old days of winter and summer waves I think the post said the sarlaac pit is now $80, C3PO is now 140. The battle of peridia is 55 dark falcon 180 and the skeleton crew 140. I can’t remember what the prices were previously but these were the sets highlighted in the post that are rumoured to have changed Good changes for the most part. Obviously anything going down (sarlacc pit, C-3PO) is good. Perida to $55 is understandable considering sets like the tantive hallway are up to $55 now. Skeleton crew to $140 is certainly a choice, but does also kind of make sense considering how long the set originally set to $130 has been waiting to actually enter production. Dark Falcon to $180 is the only one that I'm all that upset about. Percentage wise it's fine- it makes sense if it's the same size as the 2019 falcon- but it makes me sad that the highest non-D2C Star Wars set price has hopped up another $10, and that the falcon is that much more inaccessible. The Justifier in particular has been a huge shelfwarmer even with the half price discounts. The figure list was first leaked by a member of the PromoBricks team and corroborated by both Foggy Fate and Brick Clicker. I think its safe to assume its legitimate. I can understand the lack of band members with the set as Max Rebo was the only one seen aboard the Sail Barge in the film. It would make more sense for Sy Snootles and Lyn Me to come with Jabba's Palace instead. Still was a missed opportunity not including Yak Face, Tessek or Ree Yees though. Thanks for confirming! I agree the band makes more sense for the palace rather than the sail barge. Still, I hope to see the band fleshed out more in coming years. I already have Salacious Crumb from the 2012 Palace, so I'm curious to see if they reuse that or produce a new mould. Also interesting to see Jabba may be a new mould, interested to see how that plays out. Quote
Arjo Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I would have bought the justifier at 50% off. In my region the discounts were minimal on this set. Win some lose I guess. Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I’m actually surprised that The Acolyte doesn’t appear to be getting any sets. Do you guys think that Lucasfilm and/ or Lego don’t have that much faith in it? Or are all the Disney Show sets not selling as well as the Movie and clone wars stuff. Quote

Hasbro went all out with their Black Series (and some Vintage Collection) figures for the show, so I doubt it’s a matter of Lucasfilm lacking faith in it. Lego probably couldn’t fit sets based on the show into their release schedule but who knows? I’m surprised there’s no mention of the Skeleton Crew set being swapped out for Acolyte ones. It’s a shame because those High Republic-era Jedi characters look so awesome. JB Spielwaren have started posting pictures of the CMF Space figures, looks like that M-Tron’s figure handheld tool and backpack connector is all one piece. That really sucks, unlikely it could be used for Paz in that case. Edited April 4, 2024 by Kaijumeister Quote

Just because something hasn't been leaked yet doesn't mean it isn't coming. IIRC we do still have some autumn sets unaccounted for, I'm hoping those are our Accolyte sets. ( and if not then can we a Yavin styled Tantis with an unreasonablely good figure selection. And hey while there at it add both legend thrawn trilogy stuff to it on top of the Bad Batch stuff) Quote

Hopefully at some point though. It would slap so hard if it included Scorch, Republic Crosshair, Jorus C’baoth and imperial commandos. Edited April 4, 2024 by CloneCommando99 Quote
Agent Kallus Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 We didn't get tales of the jedi sets, but now we have another option for those September sets in tales of the empire, it looks sick. Quote

Agreed the trailer looks fire. Fortress inquisitorius and star destroyer please. However I honestly think they shouldn’t have focused on Morgan Elsbeth. Someone older like Tarkin, Kallus or most especially Thrawn would be more interesting. IMO. It still looks very interesting and I will 100% be watching it. Quote

CloneCommando99 Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 (edited) The more I think about it the more it seems likely to me. Looking at the minifigure selection of the Anniversary set, being 3 stormtroopers and 3 rebel fleet troopers, could this set be a bolster pack of sorts for both Yavin and the upcoming Death Star set, perchance? Even if not, when is the next full fledged stormtrooper battlepack going to be? I’m sick and tired of hearing people demand clone battlepacks only for them to complain when they get exactly what they freaking want. Looking at you LifeBricks, Mandr and 95% of online Lego Clone Stans. Edited April 5, 2024 by CloneCommando99 Quote

If LEGO makes a stormtrooper battle pack, but ignores cries of thousands of fans demanding that family guy helmet mold is changed, there will still be a demand for it and they will not be happy. Same way we asked for a 501st battle pack for $10-$15 since 2011 and then in 2020 got a $30 set with innacurate and oversized builds and a uselles jet trooper that youtubers manipulated us into calling a battle pack. I do agree that some of them go over board with how much they are complaining, but to say that they are getting exactly what they want is not right. On the topic of a stormtrooper battle pack, I don't think we need it given how often stormtroopers are sprinkled into other sets. Sure, it would be nice but an imperial battle pack with some- or a combination of Death Troopers, Shore Troopers, Imperial Army Troopers etc. would be way cooler, because that's minifigures that we don't often get and that are hard to come by on the secondary market. Stormtrooper do go for around $4 on Bricklink. 2 hours ago, Old Master said: That may be true, but with 10 minifigures it is gonna be hard to imagine there NOT being an interior. Arjo Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 (edited) Jang has reviewed a city space set… I watched out of curiosity and thought a) plenty of useful parts e.g. for a Kaminoan lab, b) that little backpack in grey would be great for arc-troopers. The set is now on my watch list should it ever get discounted. Edited April 5, 2024 by Arjo Quote

How is the jetpack trooper “useless”? They appear in large numbers in the final season. Battle packs never consist of four copies of the same figure. On a side note, I think we need more sets to complement battle packs, like the UCS ATAT for snowtroopers and the Coruscant guard gunship for shock troopers. Base plates don’t count. Brickadeer Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 (edited) Well, Lego 75078 is "only" 9 years old :) I think my point is that in the past, battle pack contained 2 - 4 minifigs of the same kind, and while 3 of the same kind more or less have become the rule, the possibility of not getting 4 in future battle packs cannot be concluded from any fact or theory available for us. Battle packs never consist of four copies of the same figure. To be fair the Jet Trooper is super inaccurate. For me 75280 was the start of the downfall of LEGO Clones. I made a post in the 2020 thread going over the Jet Trooper in particular back when that set first came out. Aside from the (in my opinion) awful hybrid armour style of Clones we've had for the past few years, he reuses the same leg print as the standard 501st trooper which is a bit lazy and inaccurate but at least it can be justified by saving a bit of money (even if we know they can afford to make it accurate). My main issue is the random patch of blue on the helmet between the visor and the black rim which just shouldn't be there. My guess is that they made the standard 501st trooper first, forgot to save a blank template and then just erased the blue markings to make the Jet Trooper but missed that spot. Honestly it's a similar issue to the new Commander Fox- something which could've and should've been easily caught if the designers actually cared enough to just double check their work. Battle packs never consist of four copies of the same figure. We never really wanted 4 of the same figure. Most clone army builders want 3 as all armies can be divided by 3, from squad being 9 troopers, platoon at 36 to battallion at 576 and legion at 9216. We have been requesting for a 501st battle since 2011 Umbaran arc. People wanted 3 regular troopers and an officer/named clone from the arc/sergeant/squad leader/at-rt driver. We haven't seen a jet trooper till the last season of the clone wars aired in 2020. That was 9 years after asking, pleading, begging and spamming LEGO. No one asked or even knew what jet trooper is. Despite years of pleas and even the support of prominent voices like MandRproductions from like December of 2018, LEGO didn't really listen to these requests. Instead, in response to the overwhelming demand for a 501st battle pack, LEGO decided to kinda screw us over and released a $30 set that, while not a traditional battle pack, was seen by many as a suitable compromise. However, this set lacked the key elements fans have been asking for 9 years. While a big portion of fans and youtubers were content with the set and even proud they made it happen, the rest of us felt betrayed and disappointed so we switched our approach and opted to leave constructive feedback through proper channels like LAN and product feedback. We also tried to ask LAN members for help, but would just get banned and blocked because we didn't call the $30 set a battle pack. This approach was another fake sucess and while we got an actual battle pack in 2023 it had 0 regular troopers inside and just 1 useful officer. Furthermore, the change in torsos to every fig in the battle pack made it impossible to match the appearance of regular troopers we wanted and it was too late to grab more $30 sets cause the set retired. After all these setbacks, it doesn't really look like we will get what we asked for ever as more and more people that don't have the connection for 501st are getting sick of it and LEGO keeps screwing us up by releasing things we wanted like Fives in a $55 set from the original trilogy.
