Hmm... How that it looks like New Thrawn's uniform isn't dirty, I wonder if I should sell off the old one that I have and replace it with the new one...

If someone was able to get Thrawn and Ezra, though, there's a good chance they have the other minifigs - and they could just be staggering their leaks for more "content." So, we might be able to see the rest soon!

Thrawn looks great and is the whole reason I am buying the set.  The rest is cool to have, but honestly getting thrawn for less than $100 is the key since I did not pick one up last time around.  Plus having the right rank insignia just make it that much better.

I too would prefer the worn and ragged look of the screen-original because it is ... screen accurate.
But then, there is also the argument of having a pristine uniform to create other scenes and characters.

Also, the pic I saw was pretty blurry...

I for one prefer the pristine uniform as it is more versatile and can be used for other characters and also Thrawn in other scenarios than Peridea.

The new Thrawn minifigure looks great, I'm glad he finally has the correct rank plaque/badge :sweet:

Same, I'll be using it to MOC different characters too :innocent2:

Circle of Twelve customs, anybody?

Glad Thrawn is getting his proper due, probably won't get the set, will brace for Bricklink prices though.

Beat me to it. If Lego is choosing dual moulded legs for imperial officers as from now, did they specify choose Commander Praji for the ISD to save money? So they wouldn’t need to include a figure with dual moulded legs since his uniform is black.

Lego's been inconsistently doing dual-molded legs for officers for a long time, so I wouldn't put it above them to have just given a gray officer plain gray legs.

The Ezra minifig leaked as well! Wrong hairpiece, but it looks good  Fingers crossed for Enoch next!

Enoch is the one I've been most concerned about, his helmet is going to be really tricky to do right.

I think bricklink prices actually shouldn't be that bad. It's one $55 set, and thrawn isn't the only desirable figure included. Don't get me wrong, I could easily see it being $20, but compared to current thrawn prices, it's a drop in the bucket.

Yep, plus an extra for Zsinj maybe.

Very happy with the new Thrawn overall. Glad they got the rank plaque right this time and I prefer this skin tone to the previous one too. The missing code cylinders are unfortunate but the plaque is more important to me.

Not a fan of Ezra's eyes but we already knew he was going to have them.

One thing to note is that the leaked Ezra has the wrong hair- could Thrawn potentially also have some parts wrong? Obviously the torso and head are right but I guess there's a chance he could actually end up having plain white non-dual-moulded legs, or the dark-blue hair of the previous version.

Ezra looks like he’s been spending some time on Arrakis. I know he’s in another galaxy but didn’t realise he ended up in the Dune one he needs to layoff the spice.

has there been any confirmation of the build with this set. What are the chances it’s a location set or could we be lucky and get a drop ship and playset?

For $55, a drop ship AND some sort of playset would mean both builds are tiny, especially with this number of new figs.

It's called Battle on perida or something to that effect, and given the figures included, I'm pretty confident it'll be the alter or some other sort of perida build. I assume a drop ship would come with night troopers.

Thrawn looks perfect, but I am not holding my breath for him to actually have dual-moulded legs. I can see it happening, as they are in production (thanks to Harry Potter), but it is still unlikely given how Imperial officers have been treated in non-UCS sets before.

I dunno- my first thought when I saw the thrawn was that they'd subbed in the legs, but those aren't the most common part, so if they just grabbed a torso and head (and hair probably), it'd be weird if they slapped on that leg element. Definitely not confirmation, but I think the odds are fairly good.

I wonder which of the gold colors they will use? Hope it's drum lacquer gold ink or whatever it is called.

Lacquering it might be difficult, so I'd also be fine with a white-gold dual mold. My main thing is that the face needs to be molded, not printed.

I also wonder if they'll try and lego-ize his "face". I don't think they will, but it's a possibility.

More, better images have leaked of the two- I like both thrawn's faces. Ezra looks good too, especially with the right hair.

I love Ezra's torso and legs! In my case they will also be useful for a pirat :pir-yoda:

Thrawn and Ezra both look fantastic. I can't wait to see Enoch and Ahsoka the white. Enoch is definitely the biggest question mark because there are so many different ways they could go about doing his helmet and so many ways it could go horribly wrong.

Those legs are on Pick a brick currently (pricier than normal ones, but I just bought two). I was going to save one for thrawn, but will update another minifig instead if he does have the dual molded ones.

Thrawn is a fantastic upgrade over the 2017 version, Ezra looks great too although I pedantically feel that the Mad-Eye Moody hairpiece in black would’ve been a way better fit than the old Luke hairpiece.

I wonder if Ahsoka the white will include a white cloth piece, probably won’t. Hopefully we’ll see the full August wave soon.

Thrawn looks great for people who want his accurate representation from the Ahsoka show, although a new hairpiece mold would've worked better, IMHO. Being based directly on Lars Mikkelsen, this Thrawn's face doesn't look skinny, unlike his 2017 version, but the skin tone is better. Although I like Thrawn, personally I won't be pursuing this minifigure for I am satisfied with my current custom version, made out of existing parts. Unless I'll need a pre-reform Grand Admiral minifigure, that is. I am much more excited about Praji's first official minifigure - alongside with the new Imperial guard (who is mistakenly called 'Imperial navy trooper' in lore). They would make a fine addition to my ANH collection! *Satisfied cough*

I am not fond of Ezra's blue eyes. As already pointed out, they make him look like a spice consumer, which is good for Dune fans, but spoils the minifigure's perception, since not only his eyes were originally blue, but it's also a natural eye colour (I suppose?). Interestingly, the same applies to both Lego Hera Syndulla minifigures, since their green eyes make them look a little too much alien. I personally would have preferred normal black eyes for both characters instead.

And please don't remind me of using Marion's blue-eyed head for my custom TNBA Barbara Gordon! This is something else... :head_back:

That‘s the main issue. Enoch is the only SW character I can think of who wears a helmet with a realistic moulded nose  Including it would likely look pretty silly, but omitting it would leave out an important detail… Not sure what they‘re gonna do.

Agreed.

I hope so, but agree that she likely won't.

I get why, since his eyes do look distinctive and noticably an unnatural blue in the show, and it also fits with Ezra and/or Perida being strong in the force. That said, I think the figure needs more distinctive/obvious pupils. I THINK there might be white pupils, but the light blue blends into it too well- I would have liked a darker blue, or just more eye detail.

I'd be ok with them just printing a small line where his nose is or something as a sort of half-measure. Including some form of detail but not an obvious nose.

Ezra's eyes will take some time getting used too but Thrawn is a solid upgrade over the Rebels figure. Dual molded legs are a welcome addition and its nice to have the correct rank insignia this time. Hope to see Enoch and Ahsoka soon.

To be fair, this time Lego had the advantage of hindsight. The rank insignia of the first Thrawn minifig was wrong because Lego used concept art. And it came in a rather inexpensive set clearly aimed at younger audiences (i.e. that of the Rebels show). I am not one to criticise Lego when the fault is clearly not theirs.

Obviously I am happy about the correct insignia, and not just to not criticise Lego... they keep a keen eye on Imperial rank insignia on their officer uniforms as the recent ISD shows.

The new Thrawn minifig imo is ok. It works because one can use the body for other Grand Admirals and/or other periods of Thrawn's life. But I am also sad because it is a missed chance: we will never get to see Thrawn with a beer belly and worn uniform look in Lego. I know I am in a minority and many love the MMA champion Thrawn of Rebels. Anyway... here is the concept art Lego was using:

I'm hoping they keep it reasonably realistic; same as how they did the handprints for the Uruk-Hai and Mandalorian Supercommandos.
