Promobricks have the June - December 2024 catalogue in their hands, hopefully new set pictures will follow suit tomorrow.

Hopefully. I’m not planning on getting any other sets this summer, except for the ISD, but I still would like to see the execution on those sets. Especially why the Sarlaac pit is sooo expensive and whatever the Jonk the Coughing Baby (Young Leia) set is.

Doubtful at best. These catalogues have become useless and basically only feature sets already on shelves by the time they get released :shrug_oh_well: The Jan-June one for instance didn’t even showcase the already revealed March sets!

So yeah, I highly doubt there’s anything noteworthy in there. Funny to think that this was how the 2021 August sets were “leaked”, essentially ruining the reveal scheduled for LEGO Con. Maybe that’s why they stopped showing new sets in there :laugh_hard:

I thought the part count was a big enough jump from the previous sets that it implied it just was larger/came with a large sarlacc as mentioned, alongside the what, 7 total figs?

That said, I hope the piece count is like 50% towards the sarlacc. If most of it's the skiff, it'll feel oversized, and we've never had a sarlacc build over ~100 pieces before to my knowledge.

I asked promobricks in the comments. They said that there are only pictues of sets that we already have seen. I want to see Peridea so bad!

Being that it’s meant to pair with the UCS Barge, I’m sure it’ll be a lot more robust than the previous renditions.

Ah I saw that, thanks for getting it confirmed. @BrickBob Studpants nice call, such a bummer -_-

I’m sure these summer images will get leaked before the official reveals in July or whatever.

There’s a pic of white Vader in the usual places.

kind of underwhelming but then im not sure what else to expect really just a normal Vader figure but he’s white not black. The pic didn’t have his lightsabre so don’t know what colour that’ll be yet

White Vader doesn't look too bad.
Also not too special, though, but as someone stated, it's a white version of Darth Vader, nothing more to it.
I'm intrigued and eagerly awaiting the other minifigs from the Dark Falcon set.

Mitch

Vader having clone trooper legs has got to be a mistake, yes? They gave him arm prints and everything, surely he got his own leg printing.

I've seen comments saying that the guy who leaked it confirmed the legs were a placeholder, which makes sense considering he also used placeholder hair for Ezra, but I didn't see anything from the guy himself. I do assume that's correct though- they gave him his own arm printing, no way he re-uses legs.

Thanks, good to know.

Disney’s apparently going to be scaling back the quantity of content in favour of quality. https://amp.theguardian.com/film/article/2024/may/07/disney-bob-iger-movie-output

Could this mean that Lego’s going to have some breathing space to be more experimental (Legends based sets?) and satisfy the horde of Clone Bros? Or will it just mean that we get more sets per show? Or less sets in general?

Since this mostly concerns Marvel, I don‘t expect much of an impact on SW, which has way fewer projects overall. Maybe it’ll be one new season each year rather than two. Personally, I hope they shift the focus back on movies rather than shows, which seems to be the case already anyway :classic:

LEGO-wise, I don’t think there will be any difference since a vast majority of sets each year is based on previous material anyway

The article is about Marvel movies, we haven’t seen any effect on Star Wars at all yet, especially the movies, since we’ve got at least 4 happening in the near future after an already 4.5 year drought.

I can also imagine the movies would probably hinder the number of a bunch of show/experimental sets, since movies always tend to get a lot of sets associated with them.

Also, Lego’s definition of experimental is probably like doing a couple Attack of the Clones/The Phantom Menace sets, or any sequel set whatsoever. Which would be appreciated, but source material-wise isn’t anything super out there.

Yes, this would be greatly appreciated! I still feel confident every area of LEGO Star Wars - system sets, midi-scale ships, UCS sets, even dioramas if they aren't done - will get a healthy amount of prequel sets in the near future. Just a gut feeling but there's so much to mine from it all.

I wouldn't be surprised if they re-used those legs

I would really prefer they don't do this. I really like star wars movies to feel like big events, I don't want them to make them all that frequent. I think one a year was a mistake disney made that led to films like Solo receiving much less attention, and I thought the shows were a great way to tell stories in live action without diminishing the movies.

As much as I'd love a few legends based sets, there's so much canon content for lego to try and juggle already. They already have trouble covering just the live-action saga films, to say nothing of the fact that the vast majority of new material isn't covered after a year or so past it's release.

The legs are obviously wrong, it kinda just goes without saying, these parts are just nicked from the factory so it's obviously just the wrong legs, like the cloth less rex leak or the wrong hair on Ezra

Too many shows can also harm movies, as evidenced by Marvel. Granted, the SW shows did a much better job than the Marvel ones IMO, but still. As much as I like Mando and Ahsoka especially, SW belongs on the big screen for me  Ideally, we‘d have a new movie and a new season of a live-action show in alternating years, with animated shows sprinkled in-between.

I feel like too many shows is what killed the hype and demand for Star Wars more than anything, the Sequels were terrible but they are over now and Mando S1 & 2 was amazing and Ahsoka was ok, rest were awful or big let downs, same thing is happening with Marvel, too much content over quality, I feel like Star Wars needs to stop making stuff for about 10 years and maybe then it will be loved as it used to, sorry I'm going off topic lol

Am I the only one who would like more location based sets instead of ships ? I'd love Kamino or Coruscant with a few different buildings with some colorful signs and the lower levels.

Firstly, how dare you disrespect Andor like that. It was a masterpiece!

Secondly, I agree. I’m still upset that we’ve only ever gotten 1 Endor Bunker. Imperial base sets are hard to come by. I really need one for all my imperial trooos to garrison. (That’s why I was so hyped when we thought the ISD was a DS playset)

Hell they could do a whole SW Modular series. Each component being from a different planet.

I'd love to see more locations sets!

Ships are just to get from A to B like a bus or for colorful space pew pew :devil_laugh:
