Even better. Though I suppose the gunners could have been nice to slot into the cannons from the specialist pack.

Gunners would be nice in a future pack, but I am glad that all Minifigs included in the Clones vs. Droids pack are generic (since we are all going to buy mass quantities of the set!).

The tension is rising! The anticipation is rising! Can't wait to see the winter and spring sets and hold them in my hands! Of the sets we know for next year, which are the most anticipated for you guys? For me it's the battlepack and the Tantive IV boarding set.

Yeah same here. The BP, Tantive IV, and the Rex Microfighter (which I believe is still happening in the summer). With the BP, I believe we get 3 shinies, a shock, 2 B1s, 3 B2s, and an Octuptarra. The clones get a speeder from what I heard. Tantive IV sounds like a neat set, and I gotta have Rex bc it's Rex. The CW was such a huge chunk of my childhood that I can't NOT get him

See I'm in the camp where I am excited for the midis and the diorama, but that's about it. I'm not as big of a Clone Wars fan (nothing against it), so I'm just sitting around waiting for a good way to amass Imperials again (and every year seeing more Clones instead...)

I'm shooting myself in the foot here because I really want to get some imperial/rebel/first/order/anything else battle packs again, but it would be cool to see some sort of small "support crew" pack. Something like a P2 pilot, P2 gunner, unarmored officer, and astromech droid and some sort of bridge console or crew cart/loading bay for $15.

What's funny is the midis aren't for me (Cool and all, but I'd only really want OT capital ships. Mid-sized OT ships and capital PT ships are cool, just not my cup of tea here. The executor is great, but may sit alone on my shelf), and neither is the podracer diorama. I even feel the same about the clone wars stuff, generally speaking (Though I've wanted shinies and shocks for forever, so I'll get two of that pack, and of course $13 rex is $13 rex, so I'm falling right into their hands).

I do totally agree that the battle packs need to become more varied again. Can we at least do something like 3BPs a year, and only one of them being clones? Right now I think we're at a greater than 50% rate of clone centric to non clone army building sets over the past few years.

Same here. I've wanted the ability to get a number of P2 Shinies since 2012 or whenever the transition to P2 was made in TCW, and the Tantive IV hallway may be one of the best new ideas for a set based off the OT lego's done in a decade or more.

It's one of the most iconic opening scenes in film history, how has it not gotten a designated set yet? (Especially the part where ARC Trooper fives shows up out of nowhere, goes "it's fivin time" and fives all over the empire, helping Leia get away with the plans)

Buzzing for the super battle pack. It’s the sort of set to spark something, and I’m sure it will for many people.

So many Clones for army building, for brickfilms, and it really could be the start of more CIS stuff we need.

Praying it doesn’t disappoint.

So far, the three Mando sets, the Skeleton Crew ship, the Y-Wing microfighter, and the anniversary figs. The Crimson Firehawk surely has cool minifigs, but I don’t expect much from the build :shrug_oh_well: The rest sound too mundane for my liking

And with the Snowie pack now gone, we are left with nothing but extraordinary amounts of clones...

Jokes on you, all my Snow Troopers are canonically clone wars veterans too.

I'm looking forward to the mega battle pack and to seeing the Grogu Escape set personally, though my interest might come down to what clones are included. Still sounds like a decent low-ish price set.

I know Judicials were a thing in legends and canon has some non-jango republic soldiers (Bravo most prominently), but ironically the demise of Angry Clone means the faceprints now don't really work for most CW vets. You've got a white dude, a white woman, a black woman, and I suppose you could say the scout's an aged-up omega, but she technically never served in the clone war

My biggest remaining question is what the B2 droids will look like. We know what the clones will look like, the builds are fine but (to my knowledge) as far as we know not canon at their sizes so'll end up as a parts pack. The droids are a big unknown. Is it just a fix of the older mode that won't be so brittle? Will we get more accurate arms? Will the rocket arm piece return? Could we see individual legs? Will we be watching out for those wrist rockets?

OR...OR... I just never take their helmets off and pretend.

Clone ground crew instead of an Astromech; also, it would be $20, not $15 (those days have long passed!).

Their age is the bigger problem when considering them to be Clone Wars veterans; they look far too young to have been fighting 20+ years ago! As for gender/race, that is actually quite accurate - Look at the demographic breakdown of the Elite Squad troopers, for instance.

I would guess no, since I am not sure how it could be done without becoming either too bulky or too flimsy/breakable. I am expecting something similar to the B1 legs.

I was thinking one of those more limited-release packs, hence why it's only 3 actual figures and $15

The Elite Squad didn't fight in the clone wars either. The whole move to non-clone troops occurs after the empire is formed.

Imagination? With a children's toy brand? NOOOO!

I know. I thought that you were saying that the Empire did not recruit anyone outside of white males (hence why the old Angry Clone head was more accurate).

No, hence why I specified the white guy as also being inaccurate, I was saying they ironically can't generally be clone wars veterans unlike when every helmeted character used the angry clone head

Ah, OK; that makes sense now.
