A RO set would've been the only way we got him. As for what it is, do we even know for sure that it will be a buildable creature? IIRC, that info came from the same source as the “more than two eyes” claim, which is almost certainly false (since if the leaker knew that, why did they not also know what the creature was, or at least the colours used if they only saw the parts list?). I am personally not holding out hope for a Zillo/TBB set, since I would expect to get a ship (V-wing, seriously!) before a buildable creature as a tie-in. Quote

So far on Prequel trikogy ( R2D2, Maul Sith Infiltrator) and original trilogy (R2D2 , Star destroyer, Tantive) sets are getting anniversary figs so are we sure young Leia isn't just with the Threepio set? Master Sol fig when? Quote

Agreed. Any updated thoughts on the R2 KT set? I’m honestly hoping now that the figure list isn’t correct as it wouldn’t bode (Bode? Bode Akuna?! Traitor!!) well for a Stormtrooper Battlepack in January. Beach Troopers and Rebel Friend on the other hand…. Quote

"Star destroyer has 12 figs.." High quality jar jar and 3po leak. Jar Jar's alright, I think a sith robe serves the character better but the face is on point and I get that they wanted to do something unique for him- this does look like an evil version of his dumb little vest he wears in canon. I mantain C-3PO is a waste of a slot and they should have chosen almost anyone else. If you were gonna do evil C-3PO, make him black like Triple-0 so he's visually distinctive (and can be used for trip). I get the joke but am not a fan of the figure. (I will say, if it's not just an inverted allegiance thing and having a swapped out arm is what makes him evil in the show, like doc ock's arms sometimes, I'd laugh. Not enough to like the figure choice, but it would be pretty funny) Edited June 10, 2024 by Mandalorianknight Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Just a friendly reminder that not everything everyone says on the internet is true, even if they claim to have insider information. I seem to remember a certain leaker enthusiastic about a live-action kanan a year or two ago. But regardless, the only real relevance that show has to lego right now is that they were likely scared off from making sets by the disappointing performance/reception of previous shows and the potential maturity level. Really shocked we haven't seen any of the august sets yet. I feel like we've usually had some image leaks by now- I know a week or so ago I looked back to confirm that we had indeed had the august set images at that time last year. Quote

It's still more likely scheduling rather than anything else. The Accolyte has had far more fan interest from it's announcement compared to things like Skeleton crew. Skeleton crew that we know was supposed to come out first and that they have made ( but not yet released) a set for. As for maturity, it's rated at the same level as RotS and below Andor. I'm hopeful that they'll make up for the lack of sets now in January or march and at some point next year. Spoiler On 6/11/2024 at 4:03 AM, Something_Awesome said: You're getting real warm. You're getting real cold. Anakin already has no father. ( and I wouldn't care if Shmi had a girlfriend at one point, good for her) and what business would a show set a hundred years before Anakin's immaculate conception have to do retconning it? I mean if that were true it would have a literal zero sum impact on all the storytelling from Anakin's birth one, anyway I always thought Luke turned out to be the real chosen one and we know he was the son of Padmé and Anakin. The only reason nonsense like this is spread is that the Anti-Woke crowd haven't actually found a good enough reason to hate the show ( other that their favourite fall back of straight up racism and misogyny.) in it's first 2 episodes so they just went ahead and made one up. ( This isn't me calling anyone who dislikes the show those things ( dislike doesn't equal hate and even if you do hate it it could be for other reasons) not am I calling @Something_Awesome those things, just perhaps incredibly gullible so I'll repeat what @Mandalorianknight said 'that not everything everyone says on the internet is true, even if they claim to have insider information' I mean that's even true of Lego leaks else we'd have a death star not a star destroyer.) Shmi concieved him via The Force (along with some meddling by either Plagueis or Palps). So, canonically, he can't be conceived any other way. Anakin has one mom, no dad. The Force conceived him, so he came to be. Anything else would effectively jettison waste all over the franchise. Sorry, when was this confirmed? Perchance was it a novel, comic, or some other EU material that Disney has never expressed any care for? I get that people do love all of the non-canon stuff, however in terms of what Disney considers canon, I'm not certain that there's ever been anything other than an implied Jesus-esque birth. Either way, refer to @Agent Kallus' comment. Edited June 11, 2024 by AD_Bricks Quote

Literally the Phantom Menace C'mon man. Can't get much more canon than GL himself. Even if his original ROTS script is dismissed (where Palpatine is revealed to be behind Anakin's birth, because poetry), it's quite clear from Qui Gon and Shmi's interaction that Anakin just sort of appeared. Also, I don't really care what Disney says, they didn't make Star Wars, George Lucas did. Quote

Jason Todd is my God Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Hi I'm not the biggest SW Fan but I did enjoy the Jedi Fallen order game ( the sequel was alright too). This is entirely unnecessary, since if they want to tell another Chosen One story, they could just have a new character be a reincarnation of Anakin. It could even be similar to the ATLA Avatar cycle, and we get a new Chosen One every few generations (or one appears whenever the Force falls out of balance). 9 hours ago, Something_Awesome said: You're getting real warm. I have heard this leak/rumour; apparently Osha and Mae were created/birthed somehow by the Aniseya coven, obviously without male input. I am fine with this, since we have seen Nightsister Magick do all sorts of strange things beyond traditional Jedi Force powers (resurrection/zombies, manifesting robot legs for Maul, bulking up Savage, manifesting the Sword of Talzin, etc, etc). Additionally, we already know that Darth Plagueis “could use the Force to influence the Midi-chlorians to create life”; I can buy that this knowledge did not originate with him (since it seems more like an extreme extension of Force healing, and not something that a Sith would necessarily come up with on their own). Ultimately, whether this is a good idea or not comes entirely down to the execution of the concept and what is done with it in the story, IMO. 1 hour ago, Jason Todd is my God said: Hi I'm not the biggest SW Fan but I did enjoy the Jedi Fallen order game ( the sequel was alright too).
