Is Mara Jade our equivalent of the DC thread’s Luigi’s Pizzeria? Are we stupid? 

 

Anyway… Legends fans are eating better than usual this year. (No Mara Jade though 🥲) So I suppose that we should be thankful. Hopefully we get some more Legends inspired sets in the near future (Tie Crawler and Republic Commando shuttle please)

Just because LEGO is releasing the Cal Kestis figure from Jedi: Fallen Order as an anniversary figure, it doesn't mean that the character will never appear again. I'm still hoping for a Stinger Mantis set, which could include a Cal Kestis figure with BD-1 and the rest of the crew, but their versions from Jedi:Survivor.

I was never into any Legends content (apart from the 2003 CW cartoon), but a remake of the TIE Crawler from 2008 or the TIE Drone from 2004 would be awesome!  I think those are the only blue TIEs that never got a more modern remake

I think it does rule it out as long as the ISD remains on shelves. There‘s little point in releasing an anniversary minifig as a regular one in another set as long as the original set is still available. Kinda defeats the purpose

No, she just needs to be in a set. Like any non-batman character in the DC thread.

Exactly- assumably, if they were planning on making a set the anniversary fig would easily fit in, they just wouldn't make that fig an anniversary fig.

Kyle Rayner, Donna Troy, Wally West, Mara Jade, Captain Pellaeon and Captain Keeli are the figures that I’d die for right now.

MARA JADE!!! WHY DISNEY, WHY?! WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER BY NOW IF YOU’D JUST LET HER STAY IN CANON!! MARA JADE!!!!

And back to sanity. Are Lego done with the big Location sets after Yavin’s apparent failure? If so that’s a shame. I was rather hoping for an Endor bunker in that style. Or Mount Tantiss (Legends based so we can get Mara Jade)

Why must the buildable character and mech sets live but the big playsets with a good amount of figures die out?!

From the parts count I was expecting it to have significant build changes from the 2019 Falcon. It doesn't look like that's the case, so that really reduces my FOMO. Hope this means we'll have box pics of Jedi Bob's starfighter and the X-wing/TIE fighter two pack soon.

Have to respect the creativity here! Minifigures are legendary, and the Falcon looks good with the striking colour scheme and unique aesthetics, design, and features. Look forward to seeing if the designers have been creative interiorly.

And another leak, this time of one of the inner boxes of Jabba's Sailbarge, which shows a shot of the movie with Max Rebo. Nothing spectacular, but still neat! 

Seems like there's an identical box next to it, so it might have been taken at a factory, in which case I'm not sure if we're gonna see more anytime soon

Falcon is a resounding meh, looks like they barely iterated on the 2019 design. Compared to the mini-UCS detail presented by the upcoming ISD, I was expecting better.

I like the red canopy piece alot  on that falcon.Rey and jar jar are my favorite figs in the set,the other sith characters torso and legs could be good for a custom inquisitor cal kestis.Feel like they could’ve experimented with coloring Vader’s lenses here and maybe add it to the main one eventually but its okay.The falcons never been my thing in Lego form besides the Kessel version or ucs so It’s a skip but I’ll buy some of the figs separate.Skeleton crew ship and maybe the ISD are the only sets  I’ll be getting.

I have to hope that unlike the anniversary figs that some of these have a change to reappear. tRoS has been the only bit of Disney STAR WARS on screen content I've actively disliked but I'd still live to have a Sith Rey. Perhaps the characters like her and White Vader that aren't new for rebuild the galaxy have a chance to reappear in a magazine or something.

Also anyone else mistake Dev for Kylo for a second?

First Maul, then Ezra, and now Rey with the weird cataract, pupil-less eye? C'mon, Lego - it looks like trash. And, frankly, if you did have their eyes the "normal" way, I think the number of people who would have issues with the eye color would me much smaller. Just... Ugh. 

Anyways, the set looks pretty much like I would have thought. The minifigs (besides Rey's eyes) looks nice, but I don't need the set, so it's a pass for me.

Absolutely love this set. The sheer audacity to make something so random and out of place alone makes me want to give it a big applaud.

The Falcon itself is well-built, like all of them are, but this time in black. Nothing special.

The minifigures tho. The greatest, strangest selection I've ever seen in a set. Everyone looks awesome. I don't really have even a single complaint.

Outside of sets made off of new content it’s rare we get such a big set with 100% unique figs not to mention these will probably remain unique. I have been really pairing down how many sets I buy in favor of just buying the figs. This is the first set since the ahsohka stuff that I now I need to buy the set no internal debate.

....yeah, fine. This was a worthy set.

I was confused why vader and Old luke were both there, but that's not the point. It's wacky, it's a joke, that's the whole thing. I love the radar dish superlaser. I love White Vader, Dark Rey, and Darth Jar Jar looks great here. I still think C-3PO and Beach Luke are weird choices, but they are FUNNY choices. And Darth Dev, who I thought would be the weakest link, has an excellent inquisitor outfit.

Thanks! I love the Black Falcon. It was honestly not really on my radar before today, even with all the rumors. It's become a must-buy now, especially with the figs now and what is sure to be an interesting interior. Heck, even the cockpit looks like a completely new colored print.
