I guess the one issue is that Tion doesn’t have hair but I can’t think of many others.

I think that these are the clues that we should focus on primarily - Who is a peaceful character that is heavily connected to an object/vehicle and whose planet of origin/appearance would give them away?

Dormé would not wear white (unless we get the nightgown version, which would be weird), Lyra does not wear white, Dryden did not live a peaceful life, young Leia cannot drive or shoot (and using "young" to include the letter 'o' feels like a bit of a cheat), Breha (white dress from Obi-Wan) is a possibility.

True, but why is specifically the child variant being guessed? Also, what object or vehicle would she be tied to?

The clue was that their outfit included white, not was entirely white, so he could fit.

Then there’s a good chance it’s him, since pretty much everything else fits.

I’m not sure how he’s a controversial  character or what object or vehicle he’d be tied to though. 
And I’m at a loss for whatever “strange look on the street means”.

What about Maarva Andor? She wore a white sash in her funeral speech, she is closely associated with B2EMO, and the planet (Ferrix) would give her away. 🤔

I am ignoring the "controversial" hint, since it could mean almost anything.
Also, Maarva could be "controversial" because in her speech as-filmed she says "F*ck the Empire!" (changed to "Fight" in post); I actually like the change, as it makes more sense in the context of the rest of her speech, but I remember that there was some displeased discussion surrounding the change (namely, accusing Disney of censorship).
