But for Ashokas interceptor for the price I hope there is more figures at least. For me needs to be at least 3 plus droid otherwise that price is shocking I agree that we should keep our expectations in check. I too am very excited for a new ARC-170. The wings are so flimsy and droopy on the old one so I'll be happy to replace it on my wall with a sturdier, nicer looking model. I'm hoping for a new cockpit system for Ashoka's Eta-2 but I won't get my hopes up. Some new molds and a new way to build the cockpit would go a long way for me being able to accept the price they're asking for this. That, plus at least one extra figure of another named Clone like Jessie or some other new figure we haven't gotten before. Quote

I also hope they don't so that we instead get a new head in the modern clone skin tone with the visor printed on- I'd definitely Bricklink a bunch of those heads to replace my old ones. They probably won't tbh as they also use the helmet mould for V-wing pilots which don't have the same visor. Granted, they'd probably need to bring back the old mould or make a new one but I imagine they'd want to keep it versatile. Quote

MrNute Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 A little bit disappointed news for me. Of course I'm glad to see new ARC-170. I wanted previous in those days, but wasn't able to catch one and now I have another chance. But look, It's another wave without any love for CIS. We already had a lot of sets for Clones in a past few years. But what we got for CIS? Octuptarra combat tri-droid and STAP? At least after 9 years we finally got B2. But because of the amount of clones on shelves there's illusion that there's a lot of prequels or clone wars sets. There's not. It's just ton of clone sets. We need more droids! At least give us Dooku already... Quote
FullBrickDev Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I love to see some Clone Wars classics get a new set (assuming Ahsoka's starfighter is from CW), and I'll most likely get them or the minifigures. But goodness me, those prices per piece are something else! I can't help but hope for more minifigs at those prices, but I think that isn't likely given the current trend. Quote
benderisgreat Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 New January rumors suggest we might get a good lineup of sets. Arc-170 if the design and minifigs are good it’s an instant buy for me. Been too long since last version of this ship. Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor could be a good way to give us 2014 CW version with updated design. But the price of 40$ for Jedi Interceptor seems too much, let’s see the design first. Hopefully we’ll also get Revenge of the Sith anniversary sets. Maybe 18+ diorama of Palestine’s Arrest or Mustafar Duel can happen? And I’d like new Anakin minifig for Ep 3, it’s been 4 years since he was last made! Quote
Kaijumeister Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) We really aren’t that far away from $50 Jedi Starfighters are we? I shudder to think what price next year’s battle packs will be at. Glad to see the ARC-170 is coming after a 15 year hiatus, it’s definitely been in high demand. Hopefully a good opportunity to include a RotS Jedi minifigure like Plo Koon. At that price, Ahsoka’s Eta-2 better include Anakin or Obi-Wan in their Season 1 Clone Wars armour with arm printing etc. even if the ship canonically makes its appearance closer to their RotS looks. Of course we know that won’t happen. Jedi Bob’s Starfighter looks great, but the Ackbar Trooper seems like a lazy kitbash even if it’s show-accurate. Does it bother anyone that the novelty and zaniness of Rebuild the Galaxy’s characters are essentially locked behind the Dark Falcon only? It’s the only RBG set that actually seems ‘out there’, character-wise. Edited July 8, 2024 by Kaijumeister Quote
BacktoBricks Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) Please Lego make the N-1 PM based and throw in Queen Amidala. You already have your little Annie minifigure and 4+ sets are all about the large and printed pieces. Watch all us AFOLS by a 4+ set just for the minifigure. Who cares if she doesn't quite tie in with the scene. Edited July 8, 2024 by BacktoBricks Quote
Tariq j Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Very happy to hear about the ARC-170 fighter. I would hope they include some Jedi that we haven’t seen for a while like Plo Koon and Fisto like the last one 16 minutes ago, Kaijumeister said: Jedi Bob’s Starfighter looks great, but the Ackbar Trooper seems like a lazy kitbash even if it’s show-accurate. I feel like they reached the limits of the old ETA-2 build with the last one, they need to overhaul the design. It's a top starfighter design for me but the lego version can never get it right, I will gladly accept the price if it means they made some new molds for the ship. But also it could be a complete sticker mess considering the color scheme, that being said, white and dark red will look wonderful next to all the other recent vehicles in that same color scheme (grogu speeder, and the gunship) Quote
TheUnusualBuilder Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 $45 for Ahsoka's Interceptor is INSANE. I know that LEGO price-gouging is nothing new, but here it feels especially egregious since the ETA-2 is up there with the Millennium Falcon as one of those sets where LEGO's essentially been selling the same set with minimal changes for 20 years, just at an increasingly higher price. It would be nice to get a total overhaul with a new cockpit, but I'm not holding my breath - like with the Coruscant Gunship and Dark Falcon, doing a funky variant here feels like an excuse to NOT have to improve on past models. Hope the minifigures are nice, at least - I'd expect a new Ahsoka, R7, and some Glup Sh*tto clone to placate the whinging masses. Great to finally get a new ARC-170 after 15 years, hopefully it lives up to the hype and is a good size for the price. I have no particular interest in whatever clones they include, but a new Plo Koon would be pretty nice. Midi-scale Home One is amazing news, it's one of the ships that really came to mind as perfect for this Starship Collection, and I'm super excited for it - I think it'll pair exceedingly well with the Nebulon-B, and if it looks good enough it might push me to give in and also buy the midi-scale Tantive, to have a complete Rebellion fleet. I'd love if the unknown $50 midi was finally the Naboo Royal Starship, but I'm not holding my breath - I'll predict it's a Lambda shuttle. $30 4+ N-1 is interesting, but in a very uninteresting way. I'm expecting it to be based on Mandalorian, with a fairly bland figure selection (Mando, Grogu, Stormtrooper), but I'd love to be surprised. The real question is (and this will likely never be asked with a 4+ set again), will this end up looking better than the awful full-size model? 8 hours ago, NoOneOfImportance said: Oddly enough, I'm kinda expecting a UCS Infiltrator next year. They keep releasing a UCS for the movie with an anniversary the previous year (Venator being an exception), and a Scimitar would work well for a $240 UCS given its actual size. Lord, I hope not. No way am I spending $240 on something with about 2.40 seconds of screentime (especially when there are so many cooler subjects in TPM). Quote
Duke27 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 (edited) What type of pilot’s helmet do you guys think we will get in the ARC 170? Edited July 8, 2024 by Duke27 Quote

I would assume (and hope for) the same style we got in the 2010 set and 2015 microfighter, with a head in the new clone skin tone that has the visor printed on. Fingers crossed that it's based on the battle over Coruscant and we finally get Oddball (and if it is Oddball's ship then we'd effectively also get a Jag figure since Oddball's copilot has the same helmet as Jag). CF Mitch Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Ooohh, a new ARC-170 Starfighter and Ahsoka's Interceptor! Very intrigued by these I still have the old/current ARC-170 but it's a bit wobbly now. I might hang the new one from the ceiling, if I end up buying it. Regards, Mitch Quote
JohnTPT17 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Now that we have more photos of Bob's set... It's a pass for me. I don't like the scratched/weathered look of his torso, and neither of those other figures are appealing to me. Ah, well. Quote

TheUnusualBuilder Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 According to Brick Clicker, the last two sets are a $50 18+ midi-scale Acclamator (prototype Star Destroyer) and a $100 Buildable Grogu in his pram. Quote
Swordy Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Ackbar Trooper looks lame. I mean, literally anything more unique would’ve helped sell the set. I don’t see an alternate expression for Jedi Bob, though I still hope for a smiley face. Servo is GNK, GNK is power, but in this case it feels like a cheap way to inflate piece count. (Speaking of which, the box states 305 pieces as opposed to the rumored 310.) There appears to be room for storage, for which you’re provided blue milk and a banana. 🤣 I still like the starfighter, but I won’t pay more than $30 for it. Bob is Bob is Bob, yes, but overpriced is overpriced is outrageous and unfair. 58 minutes ago, Agent Kallus said: No way they're giving us five hundred and one minifigs in a $70 set. BrickBob Studpants Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Thanks to @Brick Clicker, we know what the other two sets are: a midi-scale Acclamator and a buildable Grogu + pram. Not bad, but not exactly standouts either Fingers crossed for more AAA sets (Ahsoka/Acolyte/Andor) later in the year! Quote
TheUnusualBuilder Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Acclamator sounds interesting, I'm surprised to get what will presumably be a very sizeable model for only $50, though I suppose it is very flat. I'm curious whether it'll be the all-gray Attack of the Clones version (which was done for the only previous LEGO Acclamator in an Advent Calendar) or the Clone Wars version in Venator livery (which would pair more nicely with the Invisible Hand).
