Yeah. But the night-trooper has one problem. It’s not a clone trooper. Jokes aside I can see the NT being in one of next year’s magazines. I’m guessing that Lego doesn’t have any Acolyte sets planned. If they did they’d have slipped at least one in the large January Wave. Quote

It’ll definitely be in a magazine but I wouldn’t expect it until next year. The shock trooper was in September in the gunship and came in the magazine earlier this year so 2025 will definitely have one 1 hour ago, CloneCommando99 said: Yeah. I would expect them to do at least 1, every show that’s come out (except for tales of the Jedi/Empire) have at least one set. maybe the release dates for all the shows moving around has caught the designers out? I don’t know if I missed it Quote

I think the set with QT-KT is the only one left that we have not seen, so if the 1984 quote pertains to something this year, it will be/be in that set. Quote

The rumour was 3 Stormies and 3 Rebel troopers, which doesn’t fit the quote at all It also doesn’t fit neither the Sailbarge nor the leaked 2025 sets And if it was one of the August sets, I’m sure @Renown would’ve said so by now. We know very little about it, and a second ultra battle pack with the same (generic) Minifigs as the Tantive IV feels unlikely to me. Maybe New Republic Troopers vs. Imperial Remnant Stormies? The 1984 quote could be referencing the NR Amnesty Program. . . 🤔 16 minutes ago, a_clay_brick said: We're leaning towards not posting it publicly and just giving it to our moderators to avoid potential harassment of people low on the accuracy list, but you'll definitely be in the consistently reliable tier Maybe just post the top tiers publicly, so that we know who to trust (and if a leak comes from anyone else, we know to be sceptical). Don't think you've ever had something that didn't pan out- pending the 1984 one, though I still think it's possible that's related to lego cracking down rather than an upcoming set. Quote
Llewop Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 After watching this weeks episode of the acolyte. I do hope we get some sets. As long as you kind of get one with the 4 main characters I’d say that would be enough. I get there is so much SW for Lego to cover these days, and my list of things I wish they would have done grows ever longer. Maybe if it were possible although unlikely Lego could do a Disney+ CMF line at least to do a few figures that would be hard to fit in to sets. Again I know that’s unlikely Quote

Yeah, that wasn't what I was getting at. They obviously have a market and they sell ( they wouldn't keep making them if they didn't). I even quite like some of them ( Rex and Cody helmets will be mine before they retire!!) . It's just that it feels like they're being made in spite of more system sets. But because they have different audiences I feel like they made both at once and still have both lines not really eat into each others profits. Hell make it a separate theme ( call it Lego replica or something) and you can include multiple licenses under it (Brickheadz, ART, Icons and previously Bricksketches all did/do this so it's not a strange new concept). Put your star wars helmets together with your Thor's Hammer, Your Lantern Power Battery, Your Dobby's Sock, whatever. This frees up more room for playsets in what used to be called playthemes. And it's not that I want to buy every set, but the more variety we get the more likely we are getting something interesting. When the range of sets shrink you still have keep the essentials: (X-wing, Tie, Falcon, Clone BPs) but when so many slots are always gonna be used up by these essentials it means we get less variety , we are less likely to get anything new and interesting to long term collectors. I mean even the fun zany new subline is just an X-wing, a Tie, a Falcon and a jedi Starfighter!!!! And so the less slots we have to fill we still have the same number of 'essential' things to cover. 5 hours ago, Llewop said: After watching this weeks episode of the acolyte. Entirely skipping a new show or movie would set a new precedent, and I don’t like it one bit. We’ve seen it with other themes before and I disliked it there too (WW, Marvel, DC, and Indy primarily), but I thought SW would be safe At least one or two sets per show should always be the bare minimum! The whole official reveals are odd star destroyer was revealed may and 2 months later the full wave hasn’t been revealed. I am convinced that the shuffling round of the shows maybe the reason why we haven’t got an acolyte set this summer or coming in winter. I’ve seen a few articles that reckon it’s the 2nd most viewed SW Disney show and having seen the whole thing it ain’t that bad I enjoyed it, it was something different which I always look forward to in SW so if it’s got the viewers and they want a 2nd series it would be very strange if Lego chooses now not to even do one set for a series. similar to Andor what scenes/vehicles do you choose that would work for Lego as a decent set? I don’t know end of the day I kind of like the high republic Jedi robes and was hoping for one or two and for them to do a proper nice yellow lightsaber blade. So might have to wait for Reys film to get one then Quote

I often think they act clueless, but Lego is a multi-billion dollar company, so everything must follow an exact schedule which has been planed long ago. At least that's what I would expect from such a large company. I only wish we could understand why some sets get revealed months prior their release date and others, like Jedi Bob's Starfighter, get revealed very very late. Where's the pattern in the chaos? Weirdly enough I feel like this happens a lot with some particularly anticipated sets from a wave. For example, they made a huge reveal of all the Jurassic World: Dominion sets, except for the biggest one. You'd think they've saved it for later, to keep the hype going — nope. It randomly appeared on their website with all the other sets on release day. Quote

I don't think it would directly eat into profits much, I think it's probably shelf space that they're worried about. That said, a lot of retailers near me just stock the 18+ star wars sets by the icons and stuff anyway, so I dunno. 9 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: If they flop, that’s not too big of an investment. Clearly they're waiting for the RTG trailer two to reveal the most important character, Mon Cala Clone. Quote
