Not sure if I remember any decent leaks in advance. IIRC the only reason the Venator was announced on the 12th was to get ahead of M&R reviewing the set. The embargo date was moved up substantially. I'm just as excited by Jabba being just visible at 0:55, just behind Luke. He looks pretty similar to the old one, except that the tan on his face also goes down to his tail piece. If that's what's in the Sail barge, I think most people will be satisfied. Quote

starwarslotrluvva Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Honestly insane how little we know about the Barge so close to release. There's an interior, but no word on how substantial or what's included. Figure list is vague and short on details about what's new/re-used. I'm still wondering whether they'll reuse the Neel head for Max and if they bring back Slave Leia's hairpiece. And MOST of all, it's wild to me that we still don't have a confirmed price! Some say $500, some say more. Only a few more days to know for sure... Quote

I think Max Rebo will have his own head mold but it wouldn't surprise me if they cut costs on Leia's hairpiece and use a generic piece instead. I'm also curious to see what they do with Bib Fortuna. I'm expecting that they will reuse the BOBF headpiece again despite its inaccuracies to ROTJ. Quote

If that's the route they go down then honestly I'd prefer if they didn't include Bib at all and just used his "budget" for another named Weequay or Nikto guard figure (there are so many of those who we've never had and they could be done with existing moulds, just need some new prints and I'd rather they use the budget for that than wasting it on an inaccurate Bib). Obviously still speculation though; they might surprise us and bring back the 2003/2012 mould again. Quote

At this point, all I can hope is that one of the "good" minifigures gets a reprint in a cheap set next year. I'm still waiting for my Max Rebo microfighter, but I'd also take a Jabba mech if we need another filler set... Also, I watched Rebuild the Galaxy earlier today, and, while it wasn't as good as some of the previous Lego Star Wars entries, and I honestly didn't like the ending, but it was still an enjoyable, fun 7/10 experience. Fun references, some good ideas here and there, and most jokes and references landed for me, and it did look really good visually (outside of some of the action scenes, which looked kinda janky). And I'd love to see some more of those mashup characters make their way into the real world, especially if this gets a Season 2 (which, based on how it ended, it very well could). Quote
Paul11283652 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Apparently a buildable Chopper, Jango Fett Helmet, and Star Wars logo are coming in Autumn next year. Quote

CallumPears Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Possible images of Leia and Jabba on Instagram. Leia has dual moulded legs. Of all the possible characters they could've given dual moulding, in a theme where it's so scarcely used and desperately needed, they chose the worst possible figure to do it on. Quote
wesker Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 (edited) Looks like I was wrong about the hairpiece. I like the way the braid naturally hangs over the shoulder now rather than awkwardly wrapping around the chain on the back. Hopefully its hard plastic this time instead of rubber. I don't think the dual molded legs were necessary when the previous design looked more movie accurate. Can't seem to find the Jabba pic anywhere. Edited September 15, 2024 by wesker Quote
JohnTPT17 Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 I personally don't mind the dual molding on the legs. Yeah, it's not the screen-accurate tiny bikini bottom, especially on the sides of the legs, but it being dual-molded means the legs can go back without a glaring flesh colored gap in the printing. Obviously, the printed lines don't go that far, but it's not near as obvious as it would be in other cases. So, I honestly don't hate them. Sadly, I think that hair will end up being rubber - most thin hairpieces like that are. Lego has been doing a lot less of it recently, and I much prefer hard plastic over rubber... But I'm not optimistic. That photo also looks like it could be box art - surely this thing will be revealed by, like, Wednesday, right? It's out in less than three weeks! Quote
