We just got some info on the 2025 May wave. From Fateful and Minecraft Goat

75408 - 18+ Jango Fett helmet ($80)

75407 - 18+ SW Logo ($80)

75416 - Buildable Chopper ($100}

75399 - Unknown set ($80)

Unknown UCS ($200-250)

For the love of Lucas, 75399 had better be a play set. A good one no less (Tie Reaper or ITT or U-wing please!). I’m going to hazard a guess that Endor may be the UCS seeing how it’s been teased by leakers for a while.

Seeing that this may very likely just be a re-coloring of 75277 (Boba Fett helmet) a $20 jump in price is truly insane.

RIP LSW playsets 1999-2024

Seriously, we know of a dozen sets for next year so far, and only 2 are confirmed to be regular minifigure playsets. Are these 18+ displays really selling that well?

UCS Sail Barge is nice, but really safe imo. Also the price is awful, and you need an overpriced Skiff, too. Overall, feels off. Premium prices but glaring cost-cutting measures is so so so tiresome - I cannot stress this enough!!

I have seen the reviews for the Imperial Dropship vs Rebel Scout Speeder and it is as expected. A really solid set, with minor issues. Strange decision to have it on shelves for 3 months, but the Droid Carrier was a strange move too. I’d rather ‘complete sets’ as promotions, surprises, one-off sets than what we have had previously so I do hope they continue with this (although I strongly doubt it because this is the 25th anniversary, of course).

Regarding the May rumours, I think it’s fairly lacklustre in terms of creativity! Buildable Chopper should look nice, and I’m certainly interested given I like these buildable droids coming out. I imagine BB-8 will be coming along some point soon…

Jango’s Helmet is quite weird, but I assume it will have some design changes to the Mando’s helmet.

The SW logo is great if they include figures or other special parts, otherwise it’s fine if it’s a good price.

Overall, January sounds decent with the Interceptor and Arc-170, but May is underwhelming. Fingers crossed the budget is really spent on the Summer wave!

Interested to know what the UCS set might be! Let the speculation commence.

If next year is indeed an MBS Endor set as some have suggested, I’m willing to bet Lego will copy this year’s strategy with the Sail Barge and “remove” an integral part of the scene as a separate playset. Perhaps an AT-ST with some trees.

I get the concern, but let’s have hope. No diorama’s at the moment so I’m hoping we have a year break if it means more playsets for the second half of the year.

Could see this happening. Hoth AT-ST off the shelves…but let’s wait and see, for now.

Disappointing to see there's barely any playsets coming in the first half of the year. I was hoping ROTS would have had a bigger presence in the theme's line up. Fingers crossed the summer wave can turns things around.

Perhaps the summer wave could include a remake of 2009's Battle of Endor set combining the AT-ST with the Shield Bunker while the MBS set focuses on the Ewok Village?

Crazy to think most of the figures from jabba palace and sail barge from 2012/13 are locked now in a 500€ set

Hopefully this isn't the end of the Jabba themed sets. They went to the effort of bringing the old mold back it would be a shame not to reuse it again in a new throne room set. Would be good to revisit the Rancor Pit and Droid Dungeon too while they're at it.

I know its kind of cliche to complain about Lego star wars prices at this point but I swear these past couple years have gotten insane. yeah people have always complained about Lego's prices even back in the day but it just seems so blatant now. Jedi starfighter prices have literally risen $5 a year since 2022, and helmet prices increasing by $10 after we the last ones were only $70, along with the countless other sets this year which are overpriced. personally I will vote with my wallet and stop buying these overpriced sets and id encourage you to do the same if you feel likewise.

Updated the news tab  wow, that wave is supremely uninteresting. But a U wing / Tie Reaper for $80? 2025 Lego? you will get a minfigless diorama and you will like it!

Also, I know this has been suggested to death, but are they seriously not going to visit the Mustafar Duel as a diorama? It seems like one of the most obvious 18+ sets (not that we need more of them), and 2025 is the anniversary (though they don't always celebrate those).

I'd love them to do the landing platform and/or shield dish rather than the bunker or village as I have the old versions, but that would be pretty massive!

Looking at the rumoured releases for the beginning of next year it's looking like I might save some money next year at this stage,

I think the sail barge is just exceptional. I dare say I wouldn't change a thing about it. I will die on the hill that monochromatic LEGO models can be interesting to look at, even beautiful, so long as there is adequate ***texture*** throughout, and there absolutely is here. Efforts to add color to builds that really shouldn't have them always fall flat for me – Barad Dur comes to mind and its lava reflection gimmicks. But of course this isn't completely monochromatic because the top section is all dark bluish grey, which looks perfect to me, because the color of the in-universe thing is probably part reddish brown and part dark bluish grey, which is exactly what you see when you glance at this model. The interior feels equally as inspired. The tiled floors, the small details, the way it progresses from dinginess on the left side to opulence on the right, capped off with those amazing nougat lamp posts around the Max Rebo organ.

The figures are great too and I don't have a problem with the amount included or the variety. I like that everyone has a place somewhere in the set. A RotJ-accurate Boba Fett would have been a perfect inclusion though. I really like the new Jabba print, particularly the eyes, which look a bit more wacky and lifelike than before (salacious crumb's eyes are definitely a downgrade though). Leia's dual molded legs work for me because it was a bit weird having just the flesh color on the back before. Maybe they could have printed a flesh tone on the side of the legs over top of the red to help with the accuracy, but that might have turned out bad in practice.

The opening act of RotJ is one of my favorite things ever, seeing all the silly creatures always brings me so much joy. It's gonna be really hard for me to pass up on this so I will probably get it, but the price will be a tough pill to swallow.

According to Carterbricks04 (not sure how reliable they are) the ARC-170 figs are: Oddball, Captain Jag, R4-P44 and a generic Clone Pilot.

I quite like this.

Never heard of them. Unless someone reputable backs it up, I‘m not buying it

Childish_landino_chronicles also posted a story on it, source is hellothererex.

Solid lineup of figures but would’ve been nice to get a Jedi like Plo Koon in there.

Without any more info I’d guess the UCS set would be a ship/fighter for that price. A new Endor is going to be £300 plus in these inflated days of Lego releases (and that’s being conservative it’ll probs be 500+)

Also, the May D2C set is traditionally a vehicle. The only exception I can think of was Assault on Hoth in 2016

Oh? Still taking it with a grain of salt since that line-up is the best-case scenario, which doesn‘t happen too often

So do we think the Bo/Jango helmet is gonna be a 2 in 1, 2 separate sets or a case of mistaken identity?

When did 3 figs and an astromech in a £70 set become best case? Okay it's not worst case, but best case, really?

That's definitely the best pilot combination (since Oddball's copilot at Coruscant wears the same helmet as Jag). Shame there's not a 4th minifigure though, like a Jedi.

The best case under the premise of the rumoured 4 figures  Of course there‘d be more ideally, but we knew early-on that there‘d be four. Within that restriction, this would be the best case, no? Three unique helmets and a cool astromech

married, 2kids, but lucky for me no mortgage while i have my own flat - so imagine being able to spend the mortgage budget monthly on toys and collectibles. Yes, im less critical of the skiff (got it for 70eur) - i am critical, but still did purchased that set, but at 500-550eur.

Waiting for sale is ok, there is too many other products from lego or other brands. Sooner or later it will be discounted. I got the Razor Crest for almost 400eur (when considering also return VIP points and all the gifts). Barad Dur was a day 1 pick as the unique nazgul was in demand - its selling for 120eur at least and i can still sell the set for +- the catalogue price and buy it again once there is a bigger discount later - dont really have space to build it. Yep lego is pupmpig out too many expensive sets too quickly and we usually dont want to miss it for its MSRP and pay the extra on secondary - thats a reason i bought a lot of sets - keeping in mind i can still sell them for catalogue price later if i dont want to build it, but i run out of storage space in my 4room flat - i have now like 1 cubic meter of sets to sell and i started to count it that way (so far i sold already 0.5 m3, but that on top of the 1 m3 i need to sell :D )

Looking at my 6" Hasbro figure, its more like a coat up to his feet - so the cape would be close enough. I they wanted to print it, they had to print it lower as on the minigifure. Hand should be that dark blue color as they are sticking out through the coat

Unfortunately figs like Oola are banned now. Im sad we never get the twillek twins Ann and Tann Gella (in similar style as Oola)

Microfighter ? I dont think so, it was maybe difficult enough to talk Disney onto allowing them to have Slave ehm huttslayer Leia in a big set for adults :)
If accuracy is everything for you, then this set is not for you with so many inaccuracies i listed

Dude, you asume alot of stuff. Have lego clamed they never make an Oola again?

Besides that, is there really a need. Im already irritated on all repetitions. I would have prefered a complete new character to any form of slave Leia anyway.

I‘m actually more surprised they ever made a minifig of hers in the first place, considering her grim fate! It‘s not often they make minifigs of characters who are most well known for their grizzly demises

Sail barge looks nice. Leia has shorts because it's an easy way to skirt (haha) the controversy and it avoids flesh poking through when you turn her legs. $500 seems like a lot, it needed an MBS level of figures.

Honestly, and the barge isn't really part of this, I feel burnt out. Can we get some cheap sets that aren't gimmicks again? Every time I think about this theme I come back to the fact that there's a $45 Jedi Starfighter coming in January and it's the cheapest non-4+ set of the HY to our knowledge.

If thats the case, I wonder why lego even bother. I found my daugther standing and dancing with her friends now daily to Ugly Andz. And they in lower primary. I know I go abit off topic here. But I think the sexualisation through tiktok amongst others do reach the young kids at an early age even if we like it or not. A printed or not printed skirt on a lego figure is so under the treshold that I think u guys are out in the woods. Or maybe lego are themselves if they really think that it matters.
