Supposedly we are getting a night trooper Battlepack with Enoch that makes me think that is the second set hinted at by Lifebricks.

I wouldn’t trust lifebricks with any leaks. He hasn’t posted a video in more than 6 months and is notorious for his click bait. I’ll wait until FalconFan, Brickclicker, Promobricks or Childish Landino have any more information. Today’s fake leaks have been enough drama.

Changing the name wouldn't ruin his characterization, but what you said was "it didn't tell us anything about the character we didn't already know", when the story where Slave One gets it's name- and him naming the ship itself tells us a LOT about jango. But moreso to the point- I don't get why the onus is on proving why the name shouldn't be changed rather than why they should change it in the first place. If someone comes out and goes "we need to rename stormtroopers because the nazis had troops named stormtroopers", is it now on everyone to prove why the name stormtrooper gives meaning to the unit?

I'm getting off topic, so this'll be my last post on it until/unless we hear more on it, but the last I'll say is that this is a UCS set, not a 4+ set. Accuracy is given more importance, the name is actually part of the physical product due to the plaque, and while lego is still a family brand, this is a set aimed at adults. (And also we have stormtroopers and death troopers and many other names regarding bad things)

I misunderstood- I thought you meant literally that lego could re-use a print, rather than just that it'd be similar to an older existing one.

Though regardless, it'll be nice to get a female print for the ISB style uniform.

I think this one is reasonable- especially given Enoch was rumored for the Peridea set, it seems like they weren't able to allocate a new mold budget for him in 2024 and shifted him to this instead. Still not great to have a named character in the BP, but a lot more understandable than something like the jedi and clone troopers pack.

Glad we're finally getting Enoch and the Night Troopers but its a shame there's still no sign of the Great Mothers showing up anytime soon. An army of zombie Stormtroopers will always be incomplete without a trio of space witches around to resurrect them.

Hyped for the Night Trooper Battle Pack if it’s true, if it’s on the same level as this year’s Mandalorian vs Imperial Commando set, I’ll be very happy.

Haven’t seen anyone bring it up but Landino confirmed the Anakin figure in Ahsoka’s Eta-2 is based on the later Clone Wars seasons. It’s still disappointing unless they finally deign to make a new hairpiece for Anakin or something.

Just because many of the symbols and names and looks weren’t exclusive to Nazi Germany doesn’t mean the inspiration isn’t obvious. Slave I was the original name of the ship, full stop, and if you want to change it, the onus is on YOU to prove why it deserves a change, and why you know more than the individuals who crafted the backstory of the name in-universe.

A Night Trooper battle pack with Enoch was my first thought in regards to lifebricks’ second hint (“a set that obviously was going to happen, will split fan base over specific fig choice”). I’m not sure if that’s more reason to believe it or not. Either way, I’m hopeful we’ll eventually get Enoch.

As for the Slave I name, it hasn’t been overridden, the old canon isn’t suddenly obsolete, you’re wrong again. It simply is marketed under a different name, which is less accurate to the source material.

All great points. Right now I think it's about $500 or so in the U.S. on Bricklink, but I could see it going up for all the reasons you mentioned.

And, I guess I don't mind the "Spaceship" vs. "Slave 1" deal. It does bother me a bit because I prefer accuracy/fidelity to the source material. But, as one person pointed out earlier, the main draw is the model itself. Minifigs, display plaque, etc. are peripheral matters - everything hinges on the display power of the UCS models for me.
