Have there been any credible leaks pointing to a MBS Endor? I know TandN made some comments earlier regarding “redwood” while taking a photo of the Ewok Village box, but nothing beyond that.

They’ll skip some numbers, very likely.

Eli Vanto

Honestly, I feel like Eli Vanto never really was a bad guy or did anything bad- he pretty much only fought pirates and criminals. His heart was bringing him closer and closer to being at odds with the empire, like when he realized the empire likely had slaves, and I maintain it's one of the reasons Thrawn did what he did with him. It helps the Chiss, sure, but it also takes Eli out of the position to leave the empire in such a manner that Thrawn would be compelled to harm him.

Merrily torturing innocent people with the death wails of an alien species that are so horrible they turn the victims practically insane is pretty cartoonishly evil in my book  That is one of the most messed up things in the entire canon.

To be fair, that guy was ot a character we were ever shown the point of view of or someone we're supposed to relate to/understand, and I also would not be surprised in the least if at least one world power wasn't actively doing something extremely similar to this. Compared to some of the real-world torture methods people had centuries ago, "drive someone insane with death noises" is actually kinda tame.

And on a completely different topic, this should probably also cool down a bit

The massive whiplash of going through all those points on logical fallacies/combativeness and then whirling around to @THELEGOBATMAN to tell him it's probably a good idea to stop Dedraposting was an insane twist.

Missed this leak- this is going to shelfwarm like crazy and I hope it's made of DBG so I can grab it at large discount to use as a parts pack.

(This isn't a "Sequel bad" thing, it's just an absurd choice for a midi to me. It's not that large or iconic of a vehicle, and it doesn't really fit the fleet stuff they've been doing. Why not the dreadnaught with the giant cannons? Or even just a resurgent-class- I know it'd be similar to the executor and acclamator in "mostly LBG triangle", but I feel like since this is aimed at SW fleet collectors they're gonna be fine with having grey triangle repeats.)

Yeah, I definitely agree with you. It’s a weird choice.

Although I am very glad that Lego is at the very least acknowledging that the sequels exist. By the time this releases it will have been 5 years since the last sequels set released, and this at least gives me hope to see some playsets at some point down the line.

Suppose they did do the falcon at this scale and the Tantive everything else has been capital ships but I agree it’s a weird choice. I’m not a fan of the ships tbh I feel like if they’d come with a figure they might be more appealing.

so is it 100% confirmed we are getting a January wave, May wave and then August wave?

Kylo is the safest, most marketable part of the Sequels next to BB8, it makes sense. His shuttle is among the most unique and recognizable ships from the Disney era. I despise the latest trilogy, but I do like the work some of the artists did, and I can think of many vehicles from the Sequels more deserving of a set than a Justifier, Coruscant Gunship, Tac-Pod, Snub Fighter, etc.

Disney probably forced Lego to make it like they force Hasbro to make stuff from their Disney Star Wars stuff, Even Hasbro is getting sick of it and wants to end the deal and get away from Disney lol

That's why I love the villains in this series. They aren't portrayed as cartoonishly evil caricatures, but rather regular people with jobs.

The work they do is horrible, because they work for the Empire—but from their perspective they are just doing their duties. Obviously Dedra is much more aware of the grander scheme of things than Syril, but the point is the same—they want to be efficient, to work well and advance in ranks.

That's why at some point you really root for both of them—Syril is actually doing a good thing, even if you try to look at it more objectively instead of from his perspective. He's trying to catch a murderer when no else seems to care about it, preferring to conveniently cover it up.

Dedra, on the other hand, tries to rise through the Empire's ranks, but she's constantly brought down by her incompetent colleagues, constantly trying to ridicule her. When she succeeds through hard work, you're satisfied—until the next episodes fully hit you with the realisation of who she actually works for.

I love this quote regarding Dedra:

(And I also love Dedra.)

Someone let the Actress know she has a potential stalker following her

However I don't blame you, If Sydney Sweeney was Black Cat I'd be like you

I'm just surprised that they're going this direction with it, assuming that the leak is real.  We haven't had any sequels stuff since the 4+ Poe X-Wing, IIRC (which was a choice that made a lot of sense - 2 main characters included, plus a well-known, at a cheap price point), so if they are indeed going to start including the sequels in the 18+ line, I feel like a better choice would've been in either the helmet or diorama line instead of the ships line.  I think a Kylo Ren or Captain Phasma helmet would both do really well just because they're very cool designs, regardless of how one feels about the characters/movies.  There's also a handful of scenes that would lend themselves well to dioramas - Rey vs. Palpatine, Kylo vs. Rey on the Death Star wreckage (that would probably be an insta-buy from me), Luke vs. Kylo on Crait, Rey and Kylo vs. the Praetorian Guards, and maybe even Yoda visiting Luke on Ach-To.

I'm pretty convinced that in about 5-8 years, there will be a resurgence in popularity of the sequels, once the kids that grew up with those movies are a bit older, similar to how everyone started revisiting the prequels in 2015 and retroactively decided that they never hated them in the first place.  My reason for bringing that up is that I'm sort of surprised that they're targeting adults with a sequel set and it's not one that's as instantly recognizable as some of the other options listed above.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Honestly, most of the interesting prequel set material had been done by 2012 (barring a few inexplicable gaps that still haven't been filled, like Shaak Ti without the hideous Clone Wars eyes), and the original trilogy has been working its way back through old concepts for twenty years at this point - if these trilogies can keep going back on themselves without fans complaining, why can't the sequels get a few decent sets here and there? Aesthetically they were stunning films (I'm not going to bother getting into the weeds of story because it'll go nowhere productive) and I feel like Lego haven't really taken advantage of this.

The consensus on Eurobricks seems to be that people generally dislike the 18+ "sculpture" type models, but they're obviously selling well if they're dedicating more and more set slots each year to the 18+ side of things.

I really, really would like a lego set of Black One from TFA. The 2015 set got me into collecting lego star wars specifically, and we have plenty of new parts and more complicated techniques.

I don't think including minifigure(s) would automatically fix the subline, but I certainly don't think it would hurt to include the pilot.

I agree, I just don't think the shuttle is a good one to do midi-scale. It might just be me, but I always thought of this subline as something more for fleets than shuttles or starfighters. Something like

If it's not for an upcoming project, I don't think Disney would tell lego to make a specific vehicle. Nothing in it for them.

I can’t say I’m a huge fan really. Though as Kit Figsto said above - they’re clearly selling well otherwise they wouldn’t continue doing them. I’m I’m being honest I do sort of feel the same way about the buildable logo as well - I’m sure it’ll be good it I prefer the play sets.

Prequel appreciation started long before 2015, and most of the supplemental media (Clone Wars, Video games) weaved itself into the prequel era, whereas almost all post-sequel Disney content eschews the sequels and its characters, occasionally making tangential references. Not to mention that prequel toys were booming from 1999 and never stopped. I think it’s wise for Lego to lean into the adult market first for sequel sets, and a midi-scale ship is the cheapest adult set LSW can make.

Agreed, but Lego already broke that rule by making a Falcon (which was also a waste of a slot, imo)

2025 is also the ten year anniversary of The Force Awakens. If they were to choose a new ship from that movie for the midi-scale line specifically, Kylo’s shuttle makes the most sense.

I’m hopeful that we do get a bit more. I feel like Rey’s speeder is also one of the most iconic vehicles from that film, and I would love to see it made with all of the new pieces and techniques today.

That's the only Falcon I bought. 75192, would been nice, but, too big for current apartment.

Yes, it’s a nice looking set, but it’s closer to a starfighter than a capital ship

Dioramas are done for since they usually release in May and all the 18+ stuff for May is Helmets and Midi-Scale Ships, It's Lego's fault for picking the most boring scenes from movies and having them at a high price, what did they expect, it's a stupid reason, cancel a whole sub-line because it doesn't sell well due to their stupidity, release a Palpatine's Arrest or Mustafar and I guarantee that would have sold well

Are you reaching this conclusion based on the fact there aren't any coming out or has it been stated "dioramas are cancelled"? Don't be hasty - we thought at this time last year that helmets were done for.

On an entirely different note, I haven’t seen anyone really talking about the UCS Slave 1 minifigures. I have high hopes - especially for Boba Fett.

This picture best exemplifies everything I’m hoping for:

  • Dual molded legs for Boba are a must in a UCS set. Typically, dual molded legs on Star Wars figures have maintained exclusivity to UCS, though we are starting to see a shift away from this with 75385.
  • Dark brown Han Solo hair piece will be perfect for Boba. Easy fix if it's not what they decide to go with but would be nice.
  • A poncho would be a CRAZY plus (definitely not expecting this however lol).
  • They’re finally going to get the darker skin tone right which is really exciting.
  • You may notice the color of the sleeves match between the two characters - a detail that has never been reflected in previous Lego adaptions of these characters. I wonder if they’ll get that right.
  • I hope to see a face print on Jango with the headgear in that photo reference and as a call back to the 2003 figure ie. the last time they made his ship!
