The clones are way worse.

However, the first realistic style lasted 7 years (2002-2008). The first animated style lasted 7 years (2008-2014). The second realistic style (ignoring that one trooper in 2010) also lasted 7 years (2013-2019). The current animated style was first used in 2020. So I hope they'll introduce the next style in about two years (and don't screw it up again).

Anywho, back to the compulsory monthly mention of Renown’s mysterious 1984 quote. I’ve seen some people theorise that it could allude to the rumoured Endor set next year. This is because the film “Battle of Endor” came out in 1984. Not directly based off the film of course, but it could be an allusion to the name of the set.

Either way, we would really appreciate it if you could maybe please give us another clue for this one @Renown.

The speeder in the snow trooper battle pack is an absolute beauty and I regret not getting more. I agree with everything you said.

I see your point of view, but for me the lore behind each legion and their iconic battles, traits or missions is something that I am drawn too. The narrative wouldn't change, but it would definitely lose a lot of richness that makes Star Wars so immersive and helps me expand the world beyond what's directly shown in shows/movies. I love 332nd for example and their painted helmets aren’t just a visual gimmick they have deeper meaning and represent their loyalty to Ahsoka and that really makes you feel something when you see it nd it just means more, at least to me.

The source is the same guy who leaked the City 2025 sets, Pumpkin GWP, Christmas Promos last year and all the January set names.

Hopefully the previous rumour about Enoch isn't true- he really doesn't belong in a battle pack. 

Though tbh I don't have much interest in a Night Trooper bp anyway. Wasn't a huge fan of Ahsoka, but even if it was my favourite Star Wars series ever I wouldn't be interested in the LEGO set since they'll all have the terrible helmet.

Thanks guys, I found it.

Enoch or no Enoch, I am passing on the BP because of the stormtrooper helmets. I usually go out of my way to switch their helmets with old Rebels stormtrooper ones, but that definitely wouldn't work on this. Battlefront damaged helmets might, but it's not worth the hassle. I will Bricklink Enoch if he is well made and that's it. This will be the third battle pack that I skip in the last 10 years and all because of stormtrooper helmets. 

Hopefully there is one more battle pack left for 2025

Hope it sticks this time  The source seems to be more reliable at least!

Maybe the build is a miniature version of the dropship?  Would fit right in with previous BP vehicles!

My thoughts as well. All of my standard Stormtroopers have had their helmets switched to the 2014-2018 design, and the same goes for my Sandtroopers (though that was a bit more expensive!) but it wasn't possible for modern trooper designs which don't have an older version, such as the Mortar Trooper and now the Night Troopers. I got the Mortar Trooper since I wanted the Marauder vehicle anyway, but with the Night Trooper pack there's really no reason for me to get it.

…better than 2021‘s 1HY line-up, but this still really isn‘t much to write home about. Only two sets that I‘m really excited for, the rest sound good but not outstanding  

Looks like the 2HY sets have to save the day again, which we should‘ve gotten accustomed to by now

Seems like a pretty terrible line up tbh. Other than the U-Wing, which might be redeemed if we get a Dedra Meero or Bix Caleen minifigure, they're all pretty boring choices based on pretty boring material imo.

You'd think for all the prequel era obsession we might have had a Kit Fisto minifigure in the last ten years, but I don't think it's coming in this wave. Baffled at the focus on nkn-entities like Plo Koon, tbh

I'm happy that we're getting a lot of new-ish stuff (pretty much everything except the BP is a remake of some sort, but it's a lot of remakes from 10+ years ago, so I consider that to be essentially "new"), but I probably won't be getting much of what we know about so far.  Admittedly, Plo Koon's starfighter is basically only a buy for me if it comes with Wolffe - I'm not usually a "buy a set for one minifigure" guy, but I've been wanting a P2 Wolffe for a very long time, so that'd put the set over the edge for me for sure.  

I'm really happy that we're getting a U-Wing, as any Rogue One stuff is a huge win in my book (even if it's Andor-based), but I do have the old one and don't feel as if I need a second one in my collection.

That rumour was fake, but apparently we are getting a Night Trooper battle pack; the Minifig lineup has not been confirmed yet (personally hoping for 3x Night Troopers (at least two different designs) and 1x Night Death Trooper).

We do not have a confirmed lineup for Plo’s JSF yet, but Plo Koon is essentially confirmed, along with one of the Astromechs that he used (depending on whether the set is a Delta-7 or a Delta-7B). A third Minifig would make sense for the set, however, given the general 2x Minifig and 1x droid pattern for JSF sets over the past few years (which continues with Ashoka’s JSF).

You mean one of the most popular Jedi not named Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, or Mace Windu? He's top 5 for most people, ranking above Kit Fisto. Not to mention being Filoni's favorite Jedi, which led to him being featured quite often throughout the Clone Wars tv show.

How is getting a massively popular starfighter that hasn't been seen in 14 years, and a much demanded variant of another starship not seen in about 20, boring? I know the prequels aren't the most beloved Star Wars, but these have been fan demands for quite some time.

Yeah, I'd argue Wolffe is incredibly likely, but then again, Yoda's Starfighter exists. They could cheap out on us and only include Plo Koon and the Droid (hoping for R4-F5).

The 'imo' is carrying that comment tbf. I don't really have much interest in the Prequels, and even less in the Filoni shows, so sets based on them do nothing for me personally.

I find that genuinely astonishing to be honest. I wouldn't even have him pegged as being in the top 20 most popular Jedi. Perhaps it's because my first exposure to Star Wars was the Lego video games, which he does not feature in, but he's always been firmly third-tier Jedi for me, alongside the likes of Barriss Offee, Saesee Tiin and Yaddle. I honestly can't even remember him doing much in the Clone Wars series after the first episode - whereas I can remember multiple Kit Fisto scenes. (And Kit Fisto had the coolest Top Trumps picture back in the day, so he'll always be king for me)

If the Kylo Mid-Scale set is true, that will be on the list too. More iconic, better design, should look really good.

We will have to see how new the Plo Koon Minifigure is. 

If it’s a massive upgrade, I’d really want a Kit Fisto JSF. Either way, I think it’s likely.

I didn't know that, and looking it up it seems he wasn't in the DS edition. I never had any consoles in the generation after that (other than the Wii, which was a terrible console for playing Lego Star Wars) so I never saw him. And I'm old enough that The Complete Saga counts as a new game in my book; I was mainly thinking of the original.

Plo was I think featured more than Kit in the show. He's involved in the Ahsoka Leaves arc, gets his focus in the Malevolence episode, and shows up a number of times in a smaller capacity, whether it's helping to defeat the slavers and save the slaves in the zygerria arc or discovering Sifo-Dyas's shuttle.

Exactly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the Marauder vehicle at all because of the Mortar Trooper, but the vehicle was so nice that I should have gotten it as well and just cut my losses with that one figure.


2025 looks pretty dull, I am not really excited for anything so far. 
I am interested in Ahsokas interceptor despite it being a bit overpriced as I love interceptors. I think TCW Anakin and Ahsoka can be done really really well.
I also want Plo Koon's starfighter, I loved the set as a child, but my Plo Koon's head started falling off and then eventually print on it started fading away so I don't even have a Plo in my collection anymore. I just hope the third figure is something cool.
When it comes to ARC-170 I just don't like the vehicle at all in universe.  So minifigures need to be pretty good for me to get it.
U-Wing I am not getting no matter what, Night Trooper BP I am not getting unless they change the stormtrooper helmets which won't happen.
Jango's Slave 1- My main incentive for getting this set are the figures, especially since I want a detailed Jango, and the used angry Jango is currently $160 with shipping on Bricklink. In my mind, when it comes to things I personally value, I am paying $140 for the build, which is fine, and $100 for the figures, which is acceptable. My fear however, is that LEGO will just rerelease the Jango fig in a mech/micro fighter like they did with Rex. If I get this set OR even buy these figures off Bricklink, I would lose half of the value inside a year. I know that's not how others see it, as you mostly look at figures as a bonus and focus on the build, but I don’t find these huge builds that tempting. I rate the 20th anniversary Slave 1 higher than the UCS version based on my preferences, look, and size. Still, I am thinking of getting the UCS version cause I would rather have any build than wait another 22 years for another Jango’s Slave 1, but the figures have to be exclusive. Very conflicted on this at the moment.
