At least last year we had news of the Captain Rex microfighter, Moff Gideon V. Paz Vizsla, Tantive IV hallway, plus the 25th Anniversary figures. Even now, I’m more pumped about LEGO Marvel’s 1HY than LSW’s first waves of 2025.

No, I agree. The 1HYs just have so few system sets at this point that it's hard to get excited, and this is just 3 GAR starfighters (And an Andor set, which is cool).

I'll probably pick up Plo's since I do like him and it's a nice color scheme, but the ARC I do worry will be too small and overpriced, same with the U-wing.

Same, I know it wont happen but I hope we get an entire wave of ROTS sets for the anniversary like the amount similar to 2014 or 2005.

The in universe ARC-170 actually does have slightly anhedral wings

so the droop is more accurate than you think! I took a look at my 2010 model and it doesn't bend much over the length of the wing, just at the two technic pin attachment to the engines.

The 2005 one on the other hand is just incredibly delicate .

Abandoning the film anniversaries for internal ones is certainly a choice Lego's been lately. I'll also be the first one to say it, Lego doesn't do a lot of actual PT sets, just a lot of Clone Wars ones. There is a difference, and I for one would love to get more film sets (ARC-170 and possibly Plo's Starfighter are a great start. Please let it be R4-F5, Lego)

My wishes don't revolve so much around the sets according to their themes but according to the parts they include, particularly novel molds for aliens and helmets.

1. Range trooper helmet (for cheap...), if the rumor is true, and it actually makes an appearance in a set.

2. Any new molded alien head, or a remake of the old ones hard-to-acquire now. Plo Koon seems guaranteed at least, and it should even come in a cheaper set (like not in those 100+ € sets...)

2. If we get Deidra, I would wishfully wishwishwish that her officer cap would have hair attached to it. Or that she at least gets the officer cap... Admiral Sloane... Sigh...

I‘d say Range Troopers appearing in Andor S2 is more than just a rumour. It says „Andor“ on the leaked box, the magnetic boots from Solo are missing, and they have a different weapon

True, but I was strictly referring to sets from before August 1st, 2024. January 1st this year was a disappointment, but that was because there were but two sets, only one about which I cared; in 2025, it’s about six sets, as I recall, and maybe two excite me.

I strongly dislike being a downer, though, so I’ll try and restrain myself from complaining further. I agree that this is at least a decent start into 2025.

As a side note, I don’t think I’ll ever forget my flabbergasted shock and gobsmacked awe when I randomly happened upon the Dark Falcon rumor; not much will be able to top that experience.

Strangely, I’m struggling to figure out with what I should answer. (This is my third try writing this out.) I don’t buy most stuff Day 1, waiting for a discount on most sets instead. Still, here’s my list:

 1. Andor S2 — I’m mostly hoping for a Fondor or anything with Luthen Rael; a strong character in a strong show only compels me to want his minifig. It’s a pipe dream, but I’d also love to see Two Tubes somehow next year. Going off what we know for sure, I can’t wait for K-2 and Cassian.

 2. The Force Awakens - It’s one of my favourite Star Wars films, a great comfort movie of mine. Anything minifig-scaled (repeat: minifig-scaled) from that film, like a Black One, Troop Transport or Rey’s Speeder, would be greatly appreciated. Just one playset in the summer would warm my heart.

 3. Revenge of the Sith - A lot of strong visuals and designs, for sure. I’d like to see less Jedi Interceptors and redundant Republic vehicles and more obscure vehicles. The ARC-170 is a great choice, and I’m hopeful the summer wave offers more in that vein. (As an aside, I’d love some celebratory box art for RotS to switch it up.)

(Whoops! I added a fourth to my list because I am overly opinionated.)

 4. Anything from Disney+ - If they can take next year to catch up on the Disney+ shows, I’d greatly appreciate it. Krrstantan, Battle-Damaged Vader, S3 Greef Karga, Mayfield, BoBF Cad Bane, Republic Crosshair, CX-2, Republic Commandos for Saint Peter’s sake! all are missed in my personal collection. There are still a couple great sets to make from Kenobi, Mando (maybe not S3, but the rest sure), Bad Batch, and Book of Boba that I’d love to see. (Sure, why not throw an Acolyte set in there too, not that I personally would care for it.)

 

A special honourable mention goes to the Ewok Village that I hope beyond hope is the Fall D2C. As I’ve said before, all I need is to be able to recreate that wonderful, heartwarming final shot from RotJ—Force Ghosts or not. ;)

The Range Trooper helmet is the best option (aside from an entirely new part) for Captain Enoch's helmet, so LEGO may see reviving it as worth the expense.

Any ideas on what Lego could do for next year’s double star-fighter set? I feel like something Clone Wars would happen if we weren’t getting 3 republic star fighters already.

I’d love it if Lego did what they did for the Tie Interceptor vs Fang Fighter (making a set even though they never fought) for Andor season 2 and made a Partisan Z-95 vs Tie Avenger. They could even include Krennic andor Two-tubes.

I've been calling TIE Advanced vs Y-wing since they started this subline. I'd also enjoy Black One vs a First Order TIE, but we just had an X-wing vs tie one so it'll be awhile.

If he is included in the rumoured BP, he‘d better come with a unique helmet piece! The only new piece we can expect in the 1HY sets is an updated non-rubber head for Plo Koon, so they should have enough budget left for it  Unless the 2HY sets are filled to the brim with new pieces so that Enoch‘s helmet just had to be sacrificed!

This is the most obvious one. The other option is a JSF x Tri-Fighter/Vulture Droid, but with both Ahsoka's Eta-2 and Plo's Delta 7, there's no chance of that.

Alternatively, this may just be a coincidence and not an intentional set pattern, in which case we're well overdo for Vader's TIE Advanced, period.

I think Ahsoka’s Eta-2 is rumoured to have a new cockpit piece (though I am not sure how legit that is), and the ARC-170 will need to revive the open-face P2 Clone Pilot helmet. 
As for Enoch, I think that our most accurate info is that a Night Trooper BP is coming, but the rumoured Minifig breakdown (Enoch, 3x Night Trooper) is inaccurate/unconfirmed. Regardless, Enoch’s helmet is just a Range Trooper helmet with a gold faceplate; as the faceplate would not be moulded in LEGO form, a reprinted Range Trooper helmet would work well for him (or a reprinted Enoch helmet for Range Troopers, if we do get a new mould for him).

Well, that's disappointing. When they said it had a new cockpit I hoped that meant it would be a smaller model that's properly scaled. Instead it's the same size as ever, but the windscreen has a slightly different taper. I'll probably pass on this one. Just means I have more money for Speed Champions Formula 1 cars!
