Kylo Ren seems like a pretty likely candidate for a Microfighter or Mech if they aren't going to make any other Sequel sets

Real. Stories and characters from the Extended Universe are equally as fictional as anything from Disney. The only thing that matters is if it personally connects with you (gonna throw in my recommendation for Outbound Flight)

Yea, that's another thing I've noticed about TLG in general. Seems to me they've started being more like other big corps in that if it's not positive, the policy is to spin it or say nothing, rather than being honest. Which I agree is more disappointing.

(For some reason the image that popped into my head is that 'nothing to see here' gif from the Naked Gun, only it's all LEGO and the caption is 'everything is awesome'...)

To bring things marginally back on topic - the advent calendar appears to be part of the Black Friday sales, at least here in Europe, if anyone hasn't picked one up yet.

I will say, though, that the original quote says “long-awaited” figs. To me, this is very wide-reaching, as it could apply to pretty much anyone who isn’t a repeat of an already available minifigure. Of what we know of for 2025, one could say that undamaged RoTS/CW Anakin, late CW Ahsoka, R7-A7, Plo Koon, Oddball, Captain Jag, Jango Fett, young Boba Fett, a Phase I clone pilot, a Phase II clone pilot, TRoS Palpatine, and presumably a new Wicket, new Andor, new K2-SO, new Night Trooper variants, and Dedra Meero are all long-awaited. Technically, one could even say that this year’s Commander Praji was long-awaited in the sense that it’s been 47 since the film. 
 

That being said, there are many minifigures that I have personally waited a long time for that I would like made. A friend and I each put together a list of characters and variants we felt were missing or needed redoing (mainly tailored after our own personal collections and tastes). While mine is long, and many aren’t likely, it’s nice to cross off TRoS Palpatine. Hopefully more will come.

It was $20 at Walmart in the US but it sold out astronomically fast. I sprinted to rural walmarts as soon as I heard but it was gone already- I don't blame people, that's a crazy good deal. That's the price of a battlepack for more figs and a significantly more substantial set of parts.

And I mean this is really where we get into "canon is what you make it"- according to disney, both are canon, but the canon comics (and visual dictionaries) have been retconned by subsequent canon material a number of times. The poor Ahsoka novel had both it's flashbacks and main story retconned.

Which is all to say- I think it's asinine to claim that a character has to be canon to be exciting or that non-canon characters aren't exciting picks just by virtue of being non-canon. Lego routinely produces non canon figures, be they from the EU or their own original content, and like I said, you can't tell me with a straight face that most people would be more excited for Osha than Revan.

Also, I‘m not saying a minifig is not exciting at all just by virtue of not being canon. As others have pointed out, we just had Malak, and that was a great addition! My point was more that I could provide entire lists of missing canon characters that are way more exciting to me than any Legends character.

Where in Europe are you? In the UK it was already on sale at £24 before Black Friday (down from £30) but it has been out of stock for a while now (very annoyed I missed it). 

 

Edit: yay happened to visit a WHSmiths where they still had one in stock at the same £24 price

I’ve had this issue too on my iPhone and iPad for ages, the emotes never work.

If we do get a Kylo Ren figure again this year, it’d be the perfect time to revisit his helmet mould and make it more proportional. Better yet would be to make a dual helmet / hood piece.

The marvel logo set makes my eyes bleed, the only way I can describe it would probably be using words that aren’t allowed here. Star Wars one is just going to be just as bad and Star Wars one isn’t even rumoured to have figures (if I remember right).

As far as "named clones" goes, I think it could maybe be Jesse? He would be new, and any Clone Wars set that could have him could pair indirectly with the Maul mech. 

I second Satine. She and Mother Talzin are the two biggest Clone Wars characters that haven't been done yet. They're both long overdue for a minifigure.

I'm hoping Kit Fisto is one of the two new Jedi minifigures coming next year. Not only does the old figure look dated but it also suffers from the rubber head deteriorating and the brittle brown body. I wouldn't mind if they went with something closer to Ahsoka this time by using a standard minifigure head and a separate piece for the tentacles.

Ooh, this would be cool. If LEGO is promoting Kylo this year (with the shuttle and the helmet), hopefully he’ll get a minifigure. A dual-molded hood/mask would be sweet, but a new mask without the hood would also be nice.  

I’d like to add TPM C-3PO to the missing prequel figs list.

I'll start the 2025 thread soon. We've shifted the year dated threads to just be a fresh start to chat about sets. It's not locked to only talking about that year's sets now.

There are so many figures that can be argued need a Lego form and even some that need a new version but at the same time I think a lot of people need to be realistic with some of these characters. This coming year seeing as Andor is the only new SW media coming there is an opportunity to catch up on things that might have been missed. I hope they use it to give us some more Disney plus shows sets. I have a feeling we will probably get some AOTC sets and ROTJ Endor based sets. As last year there was TPM focused sets and we’ve got the UCS Jango slave 1 coming so would make sense to do some sort of tie in. Endor is rumoured to be next years big UCS/MBS so we could get a few tie in sets with that as well. 

it’s impossible to please everyone though I don’t know how Lego go about it but I do envy them SW is so big now how can you balance covering old stuff for new fans, new content for everyone and stuff that’s been missed but they could help themselves by calming down on the dioramas (they are just system sets with 50% markup), the helmets and the buildable figures. 

i miss the days of multiple microfighterrs and 4/5 battle packs a year and just plain system sets, we’ve got 3 buildable characters in 2025 one is enough.

Agree.

I would add Admiral Trench. I wonder how adventurous Lego would be in investing bespoke molds for the likes of Talzin and Trench... but this is SW and it sells quite well.

I also wonder if they would make more sets from the Bad Batch?

Going back to the movies... I don't believe Lego has made any astromech droid with the cone-style head? I think there are one/ two (?) astromechs in one of the opening scenes of Episode 4 that have yet to be made.
