I can't understand much of what he is saying, but I do love when he points at the astromech's plain back and says 'Lazy, lazy.'

Lmao, that's gold. Were you watching the English version of the review? If not, that does exist if you want to understand him better, hehe.

Haha no I was watching the German version as it was the first one that came up, but I was just there for the video of the minifigures in all honesty which was why I wasn't really listening until I heard the lazy comment and just thought it was so funny that even the language barrier couldn't disguise the dissatisfaction over the plain astromech back.

I want to have an ARC 170 in my collection so much, but somehow I'm not entirely convinced. It looks a bit... fragile? Maybe the wings are too short or the nose too narrow. It's not bulky enough. The lack of a back printing on the droid is no problem for me personally but stickers on the cockpit at THAT price is a huge

Hopefully the U wing will be much better.

Seems there won’t be any official 20th anniversary sets for ROTS, given the lack of a such logo on the ARC-170 box.

Still hopeful there will be some more Episode 3 sets, with how much speculation we’ve had over the past few years over the anniversary.

Anniversaries have only been a recent thing we are at point where every year is an anniversary this year was 25 years of both LSW and of TPM the last anniversary was maybe a 20th anniversary of TCW set (if I remember right) and before that was the 20th anniversary wave and the 40th anniversary for ESB. I really don’t think they are going to become a regular thing.

The clone pilot heads only have one face :hmpf_bad:

Not a huge deal, but it was double-sided in the 2015 microfighter and this is one of the rare times when a clone face will always be visible, and can easily have the alternate face covered up by the helmet. And I know they're clones but it would still be nice to have some variety.

Scorching Take: Not every minifigure needs the works (i.e. double-sided face, leg printing, boots). Simpler is sometimes better. The clones don't need an alternate face, none of the rank and file do, why should the pilots be special?

The exception here could be to give each figure hair pieces and make the alternate face a non-visored version. Otherwise I agree re: leg printing, dual moulding etc.

Or, I could simply bricklink a few extra clone heads and use hair pieces from my own collection.

Who's displaying a clone pilot without their helmet anyway? Why is this suddenly a concern? We never say this about Rebel Pilots.

I’m still racking my brains on what that P1 Clone Pilot set could be.

Part of me would like to see the Clone Bros flip out if Lego makes a AoTC gunship. Next year when they were expecting RoTS sets.

I agree, it’s super exciting. Especially after hearing the summer wave is good, with atleast 2 Jedi and some Clone Commanders.

My guess is a V-19 Torrent. It could be a Y-Wing, too.

Is that confirmed we are getting multiple Jedi and commanders or is that speculation?

don’t forget about V-wings haven’t had one of those in a while you never know lego could be brave and give us a TBB set

Maxbaut confirmed it.

He definitely used plurals on the commanders? If so that’s mad.

im surprised more people haven’t been going wild with speculation on here about that (or have I missed that?)

Although I hope they are P2 commanders from different units and different sets and not just a random P1 commander that’s going to end up in something like a P1 battle pack.

You never know could be another 501st BP set with their commander in (I forgot his name)

Pretty sure was plural, but don’t quote me.

Combination of Clone Trooper ‘fatigue’, criticisms of Clone Troopers, and soaring prices are probably enough to stifle any sort of excitement.

Actually. I might be overanalysing his post the wrong way with this theory, but in the Clone Commander image Max shared, there are 9 Commanders. 3 of which are already on shelves (Cody, Rex and Fox.)

The most notable thing I find about that image is that there’s only one Phase 1 Commander in it. And he’s a relatively obscure one at that, one which should realistically have been subbed out for a more recognisable clone like Pons, Doom or Thorne. The P1 Commander in question is Commander Fil.

As I’ve said before. I’ve been racking my brains trying to figure out what set the Clone Pilot could come in. But then it hit me. We know we’re getting some kind of Republic Aircraft due to a P1 Clone Pilot, suggesting that it’s a P1 clone set. We strongly assume that we’re getting a clone Commander from the image that Maxbaut shared. The episode Fil was in, Lair of Greivous, featured a Republic Shuttle, a vehicle that’s manned by Clone Pilots.

(Also since JediBricks, to my dismay, is technically now a credible source. He’s also said that a TCW villain minifig will be in the summer wave, that would be a perfect set to include grievous, and dare I say a new Kit Fisto? Fulfilling the new Jedi piece of information.)

But that’s just a theory. A Commando Theory.

No one take this theory as a leak. It’s just a educated guess based off tidbits of information.

(oh and the other 501st commander is Appo)

It’s kind of what I was eluding to if there is a rumour of a P1 pilot wouldn’t be to unreasonable to have a P1 commander but aren’t the P1clones all more similar and don’t have unique marks based on what legion their in.

yeah I’d love if Lego gave us another 501st set with Appo in to truly troll with us even if it was an order 66 set.

Tbh I just hope we have a few more waves with the current P2 to get a few more legions/units or vehicles we haven’t had in a while

Yeah, exactly. I swear whenever lego makes a clone figure people decide legos should be Hot Toys figures.

I'm cloned out. There have been so many clone battle packs. I'm happy for those who want more commanders, but I'm out.

Same, I just want more separatists sets at this point. It's been 10 years since the last vulture droid or Tri fighter.

I don't want a face without the visor; I want a different expression. When their faces are visible (as these pilots' will always be since the helmets are open), it's nice to have a couple of expressions so they don't all look completely identical.

This is exactly what they did with the ARC-170 pilot in 2015, which is the head I have given to all of my other ARC-170 pilots (got about 10 from various sets) and trust me they look way better together with the varied expressions, and we don't say it about Rebel pilots... because they HAVE multiple faces, as do almost all modern figures. Just feels really weird that they're skimping on it in this case.

With the lack of pauldrons and kamas I don't even want the 327th at this point. Best time to get them would've been 2014-2016.

They're clones. They are supposed to be identical. It's a luxury not a requirement. They are just fine as is.

Not just that, but they would have a really weird looking top stripe like Fives if they did the 327th. The revising of "acceptable print areas on the clone trooper helmet" in 2020 which had NOTHING to do with helmet holes despite popular belief and everything to do with Lego just letting tolerances slip was nothing but a short sighted tragedy by TLG.

When was the last time we had a unique rebel pilot head? was it Biggs in the 2018 X-Wing?

The recent heads in the Yavin set (Gold/Red Leader share the same face), it seems to be replacing the 2014 variant(s). Prior to that we had the NR pilot in the Ahsoka set.

While those could be pretty exciting, I hope the rumoured „long-awaited“ minifigs go beyond just that

That one doesn‘t count since it‘s a specific character

Big W in Australia have added Mando's N-1, Ahsoka's Eta-2 and the Acclamator to their website already. The prices are $42, $59, and $68 respectively. Lego.com haven't added the Eta-2 to their website yet so that could mean that set has an RRP of $70.
