December 30, 20231 yr I was scrolling through Instagram just now, and I was recommended a picture from one of the leaks hashtags. I checked the user’s profile, and all four of their posts, all from four hours ago, are blurred images of sets with the CONFIDENTIAL stamp over them. Three of them are Star Wars, and the other is from Ninjago. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I’m supposed to give their account name, so I’ll just describe the images, if that is allowed. The first looks to be a red and light-grey V-wing. The minifigures look to be a white and tan(?) one, someone in gunmetal grey armor with a matching helmet, and someone in black with short grey hair. The gunmetal grey armored one looks to be Wrecker, as the armor, helmet, and gun molds appear to be matching the ones he had previously, and there’s a bit of white in the helmet. There’s also a minifigure on a base like the 20th anniversary ones. This character has short, dark brown hair, a white torso with a sand blue stripe on the bottom, sand blue arms, and white legs with black boots. The second image is of an Imperial T.I.E. Fighter and X-wing dual pack, both of them looking like the ones from 2021. They are positioned very close to each other, though, seeming almost cramped. The set appears to include a T.I.E. pilot, Darth Vader, Luke in his X-wing suit with his lightsaber, and another X-wing pilot with a pistol. The final Star Wars one they’ve posted seems to be a battle pack, with a black command station-looking thing with a grey satellite dish on top. I see two white troopers, one black one, and there is also an E-Web build that looks identical to the one from the 2022 Snowtrooper battle pack with possibly another white trooper behind it. Additionally, this set also has another minifigure on a black base, this time all black with a black hood and robes and a double red lightsaber. I cannot make out the face, but it appears to have a reddish-tinge, maybe. As far as I’m aware, none of these match any rumors we have so far, except for the double red lightsaber wielder potentially being Maul or Dark Side Rey, both of which have been rumored. The similar looking builds in the case of the OT set and the E-web seem fishy, as does the lack of a visible astromech with the X-wing, but I could also see LEGO using similar builds to the past. Ultimately, I’m hesitant to believe that these are real, but I always find it fun to entertain the idea and discuss. If anyone wants the User’s name or the images (which I’ve saved), and I’m allowed to share those through DMs, let me know. EDIT: I did a bit more looking around, and these are said to be fake. It was claimed that the unnamed pilot was Jek Porkins, the V-wing’s minifigures were Wrecker, Tarkin, a pilot, and Young Leia, and that the battle pack was of the night troopers from Ahsoka, but itsjustajoe said they’re not true, except for a possible ship dual-pack with a T.I.E. variant. December 30, 20231 yr Incredibly fake. The X-wing and TIE Fighter set for instance is just a combination of the two 2021 sets What a throwback to the glorious days of hilariously fake catalogue leaks
December 30, 20231 yr Those are confirmed to be fake; there is also a Ninjago set list (and a few prelims) floating around from the same source that is likewise obviously fake. December 31, 20231 yr So 501st troopers again. Accurate to the scene, but having built the three 501st battle packs over the past few weeks I can't say I'm excited about them. Naboo guards would have been way more interesting.

They’re not even new figures, new prints, or new holes, Lego is just reusing its current supply of 332nd bodies and 501st specialist helmets. You can literally make two regular 501st clones by combining the two current battlepacks.

We might have known about the Luke mech, I can't remember if that leaked or was just speculated. Cody brickheadz should be fun. The multipack this year failed, It honestly might be a TPM multipack as the last one was ROTJ, but I can't see it selling well. I feel like the generation with nostalgia for the prequels is also the generation who would just want minifigs. I don't want this to come off as mean but I hope the (assumably pilot) luke mech makes the Queer Eye set and UCS Hulkbuster look like bestsellers. Let the mechs die, kill them if you have to. Marvel is showing what can be one with $10, disney-licensed sets. Look at the guardians headquarters, or the new one with the spider-man bike. You can make complete-looking system sets at that price. You don't need to make weird mechs. On 12/31/2023 at 6:33 PM, Big_Daddy said: So 501st troopers again. My guess is it's a budget thing- 501st troopers are fully re-used from the 2023 specialist helmet and 332nd trooper torso/legs, as others have pointed out. But I do think the set needed some bit of desirability beyond Kellaran, who is cool and all but not really a major character, and visually is just a bald human in jedi robes. The fact that 501st clones have been so much more readily available than imperial stormtroopers over the past 4 years is nuts. Not clones in general, the 501st legion ALONE.

I’m not really a fan of the line (I just have Luke & my daughter has Ahsoka) so I was agreeing with you up until I actually considered the Q. QGJ is one of my favorite characters & I recommend doing a search for Amidala Brickheadz—the custom(s) out there look great. Darth Mail would surely be popular. Ofc you’d have some that are less interesting but that’s the point of these large packs… to make you buy more than you’d otherwise be interested in.

Completely agree with all this - I bought the Endor Heroes Brickheadz pack as my first foray into the line, but really that was only because I wanted the exclusive Star Wars Celebration tile GWP whilst I was at the event. Built the set last week and I was underwhelmed. Brickheadz are charming, but really they work best when the textures are built up as opposed to just using prints. I guess that’s why I’m more partial towards R2 and Wicket from the set, and I suspect Cody will at least look cool. It would be nice to see cheaper ‘impulse’ sets that aren’t gimmicky. The old Final Duel and Jedi Defence models were so cool and hardly had many pieces anyway. Given today’s new info, it looks like the highlight of Grogu’s Escape will be the Kelleran minifigure. Childish Landino on IG also seems to be confident in some good TPM sets this year so that’s cool.
January 1, 20241 yr Legofan2001, of those you mentioned, the following interests me. 75379 Grogu + Beq + 2x 501st. 75391 Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter. 75386 Moff Gideon, Paz Vizsla, 2x Praetorian. 75373 Koska Reeves, Blue Mandalorian, 2x Super Commando.

Brickheadz also aren’t my cup of tea (I only own the Frankenstein one, though I think there’s some really cool ones, I’ve been tempted by the Tusken Raider often), but I think TPM’s character designs are interesting enough to where there could be some neat builds. Maul, Queen Amidala, Qui-Gon, Jar-Jar, and either Obi-Wan, Nute Gunray, bare C-3PO, young Anakin, maybe with his podracing helmet, would be a nice assortment.

The weird thing is that other themes do have sets (e.g. someone mentioned the Guardians headquarters earlier) which are comparable to the old FD and JD sets, and those sets are cheaper than the current SW gimmick sets (brickheads, microfighters and mechs) with more minifigures. It's the same (arguably worse) with LotR. Currently the only sets available, other than Rivendell which is prohibitively expensive for most people, are brickheads which most people don't care about and which don't introduce any interesting parts or minifigures. Speaking of LotR, looks like the Barad-Dúr from that survey last year is confirmed. Have we had any similar updates on the possibility of a Jabba's Sail Barge? Also I miss the older (2014-2018) stormtrooper helmet mold . The new (dual molded) one always reminds me of Family Guy. I prefer the helmet holes clone helmets to the current stormtrooper helmet. Would be great to get a non clones battle pack to mix it up a little (not hating on the clones battle packs, it definitely makes up for a long time without them, would be nice to see more battle packs released like 2015-2019). More on topic, I am excited that we still have a micro fighter I think this is one of the best things Lego does (I would love more $10-$15 sets like marvel has too). Not a fan of the mechs, the builds are boring and repetitive, my kids don't really play with them either just the minifigs, and the parts are not great to use in other builds. However if we have to get mechs it would be nice to get new characters (or maybe more microfighters with named minifigs). For example we could get a Captain Needa mech, or a Tarkin Mech, or Jek Porkins mech (which would be hysterical). I think that could make mechs interesting at least. The 12th pilot Luke minifig in a mech is a hard pass but someone will inevitably buy it for my kids around the holidays because it is the only thing in that price range.

Yeah, no, I love the clone packs too, it'd just be nice to get other factions instead of 50%+ of battle packs being clone troopers. I went to four stores today looking for the new battle pack. Showed up at a lego store literally a single minute after it opened and their stock was immediately emptied. Went to two separate targets- nothing. Found three copies at kohl's- which was good, because I was with two friends of mine also searching. The demand for this pack has been insane- to go to four separate stores and come away with one copy each is nuts. (Most January sets were stocked, just not that set. Ironically, every copy of that juniors set was still there for all three stores, since the target audience of a 4+ set isn't rushing the shelves day one). There were still a number in stock online so I got three there, but I'd be surprised if I didn't get hit with the retroactive backorder like I have with other in-demand sets in the past. The lego store limited people to two copies a head, which was nice (even though I still didn't manage to get one), but it is a little annoying having to search for copies so much and then seeing people post their literal scores of the set online. January 1, 20241 yr 2x 501st in the Barc Speeder set is not surprising and I have no problem with it. It's what was in the show and was the easiest, cheapest option for LEGO so if anyone was expecting different then I don't know what to tell you. Aside from that, not really anything new that's worthy of note. Hopefully we'll get some pictures before long. Edited January 1, 20241 yr by ToaDraco
