We did not heed the warnings! That said, this year's sets sound bonkers. The dark falcon is such a hilarious concept but the figures sound great. I'm a sucker for Jedi Starfighters so I'm sure I will get Jedi Bob's Starfighter, especially if it's in a fun color. Ooh, maybe it could be teal, or coral, or the new reddish orange! If you're going to make a meme set, you better go all out with it. $40 is a steep ask for a Jedi Starfighter but we'll have to see how complex and big it is and if there are any side builds. Battle of Peridea set is the real standout must-have for sure, especially for $40-$50 and with all those desirable figures. A new Sith Infiltrator sounds awesome. I have the big one from years ago but I'm excited to see what an update looks like and I'm glad it'll be fairly affordable at $70. It's easily one of my favorite Star Wars ships, it's too bad it didn't appear more in canon. I don't know what the Death Star diorama is going to entail but if it comes with Cal Kestis, I absolutely want him. We'll have to see what the set actually entails for $90 but I may end up grabbing him off bricklink later instead. Everything esle sounds good for what it is and I'm glad it exists even if I don't plan on getting them. There's still more than enough good LEGO stuff coming out this year to make my wallet cry so I'm totally fine with not everything being a must-have set. Edited January 12, 2024 by ToaDraco Quote
Displayedaction Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Not too interested in this years stuff so far besides the anniversary figs, the infiltrator, invisible hand and the skeleton crew ship. Was hoping for a capital ship this year(preferably separatists)in the big slot. The skiff being 90 seems kind of crazy seeing as the previous were like 25 and did the job the pit must be really detailed now or something. THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Am I the only one to think this is genuinely one of the best Star Wars wave ever? We've never seen a wave as insane and ridiculous as this one for a licensed theme. Just the sheer audacity to try something like this makes me already love it. Don't care about Ahsoka, but it's incredible they threw all the requested minifigures in a 40–50€ set. The Dark Millennium Falcon will definitely be one of the strangest LEGO sets ever made, and I'm here for it. The Sarlacc Pit is severly overpriced, but it suggests that Jabba's Sail Barge is the Fall UCS set. The X-Wing and TIE Fighter set wouldn't be interesting if not for the combining feature. It sounds ridiculous, I love it. Finally a new Sith Infiltrator. Love that ship. Jedi Bob's Starfighter is right there with the Dark Millennium Falcon — a set so weird and out of place that you just have to love it. Day One purchase. And a cherry on top — LEGO CAL KESTIS! Finally, my wishes have been fulfilled. Would've preferred an actual set based on one of the video games, but I'll take what I can get. Quote
QuiggoldsPegLeg Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) I don’t see a lot of people talking about it, but given the piece count and the price the Escape from the Sarlacc almost definitely includes both skiffs and the sarlacc (since it’s over double the pieces and 3x the price of the previous skiff set) I’m unbelievably excited for this set, and especially the Khetanna. I’m also excited the sets are separate because it means there’s an opportunity for more figs to come with the Barge. I really, really hope we end up more on the Cantina or Rivendell end of figure scale rather than the Razor Crest or UCS Falcon. Assuming they won’t include duplicates from the skiff set, givens for the Barge would be Jabba, Leia, Luke, Salacious B. Crumb, Bib Fortuna, Max Rebo, C-3PO, and R2-D2. For the others, Tessek is an obvious inclusion because of the new Quarren mould. They’ll probably throw in a Gamorrean or two. They can probably bring back the old Ree-Yees mould. There’ll definitely be a couple Niktos, with Vizam specifically being a pretty good lock since he’s the one who manned one of the deck blasters. They could include a Weequay or Klatooinian, although none of them actually appear on the Barge. Bossk would obviously be an easy inclusion. And for other figures they could make using normal minifig heads, there’s any of the various human guards, there’s Mosep Binneed, Yoxgit, Geezum, a Jawa, or an astromech droid. And I know they’re a stretch because they require new moulds, but I would really really love a Saelt-Marae, J’Quille, and/or an Ishi Tib. Saelt-Marae definitely seems most likely of the three, since people have heard of Yak Face more than J’Quille. They could also include Sy Snootles and/or Droopy McCool, even though we never actually see them on the barge in the movie, although both would need new moulds. If we assume 16 figs is reasonable, my best guess for the inclusions would be: Jabba, Leia, Luke, R2-D2, C-3PO, Bib Fortuna, Salacious B. Crumb, Max Rebo, Tessek, Gamorrean x2, Vizam, a Green Nikto, Ree-Yees, and Saelt-Marae. Which would only be 1 new mould and 9 returning moulds from 2013 (Leia’s hair, Gran Head, Ortolan Head, Fortuna’s headtails, Salacious, and 4 for Jabba + a new Yarkora head mould) (Also, here’s to hoping that the two unknown skiff figures are Barada and Pote Snitkin, as we’ve already gotten Kithaba, Pagetti Rook, and Rintel Aren in the past. I definitely wouldn’t complain about getting Brock Starsher or Yotts Oren though. Pote Snitkin would be nice because we’ve never gotten a Skrilling before. Although I’d say that one of Kithaba or Barada are almost certainly a lock so they can re-use the bandanna mould they created for Vane in the Snub Fighter.) Tariq j Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) These sets sound insane. The Sarlacc Pitt sounds a little overpriced. I'm not sure why they didn't just include with the Sail Barge? The Sith Infiltrator sounds like it'll be an updated version from 2011 (with the same exact minifigure lineup). A shame we still don't have Shimi but I'm holding out hope she'll be included in the Podracing set . The Dark Millennium Falcon and Jedi Bob's starfighter sound brilliant. They're trying something new and different and I appreciate that. EDIT: I've seen a couple of people point out that the Dark Falcon could be based off an upcoming Lego Disney Plus special? Which would make more sense than Lego releasing it randomly. Edited January 12, 2024 by Tariq j Quote
CF Mitch Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Well, this is... interesting. This certainly has a 'what if...?'/multiverse tinge to it The minifigures in the Dark Falcon definitely sound intriguing, and I'm interested in seeing Jedi Bob's Starfighter. I'm quite surprised we'll be getting a Death Star already, or at least a Death Star-themed playset. Might it be similar to the Cloud City Base set? Regardless, I'm eagerly awaiting more info Regards, Mitch Quote

Realistically he's the only who has scenes on both the Skiff and the Sail Barge, so if there are duplicates between the two rumoured sets it should only be him (and possibly Boba, but that's unlikely). wesker Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 The Brick Reporter on Instagram is claiming the two final Skiff figures are Luke and a Weequay. 2 hours ago, QuiggoldsPegLeg said: Which would only be 1 new mould and 9 returning moulds from 2013 (Leia’s hair, Gran Head, Ortolan Head, Fortuna’s headtails, Salacious, and 4 for Jabba + a new Yarkora head mould) I don't think they will bring back all the original molds from 2013. Bib Fortuna's original headpiece has been out of production for so long that its probably more cost effective to just reuse the BOBF version even if the weight gain is inaccurate to ROTJ. I could see them potentially cutting corners on Leia as well after what happened with Ronan in the new Marvel wave. Quote
TeddytheSpoon Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 What a mad set of rumours. Still not sure what to make of it, but I have to applaud the variety. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) I wonder if the Jedi Bob set is actually called that, but I assume it is I mean it‘s a name the fans came up with, so it‘s just hilarious to see them acknowledging that It‘s essentially a meme set! Imagine being a SW fan who has no idea about the history of LSW and seeing that on shelves Edited January 12, 2024 by BrickBob Studpants Quote
Llewop Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) I respect doing something different it does sound cool, but I do hope it’s for the anniversary of LSW and that it’s a one off, as I do feel there is so much existing SW media that hasn’t got the coverage in sets that deserve something and I would rather that prioritised over this kind of meme wave. i get this is coming from trusted leakers and that, BUT I still have my doubts it’s early for news on summer sets surely? Last year on April fools we didn’t believe it because it was on April fools and how early it was in the year. We are still like 7 months away. That’s quite early for leaks from recent memory. Also sceptical because there isn’t a clone insight Edited January 12, 2024 by Llewop Quote
Classic_Spaceman Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 What the hell??!! Dark Millennium Falcon, Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, X-wing and TIE that can swap wings?? I am honestly not convinced that these are legit; @Falconfan1414 is reliable, but these seem too weird to be real. Quote
MKJoshA Posted January 12, 2024 Author Posted January 12, 2024 Lego, I don't know what you're doing but I love it. People have been clamoring for Jedi Bob and they go and give us an entire set for him! The create the most insane version of the Falcon possible. And we get an incredible line up of figures across multiple sets. 7 hours ago, avengers777 said: Just made an updated list (also added to "News" forum). I think Lego is taking the swap of wings into account because of the uglies. Ships that are build from different parts like X-Wing with wings from a Tie-Fighter. Those ships were used for instance by pirates and are part of Star Wars. Also fits very well the Lego topic as you create something new from different parts. Yperio_Bricks Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 For me this is the most fun and interesting wave of LSW since i left my dark ages! Love it! I wonder if Lego is secretly taking action against some crazy secondary market prices of highly demanded minifigs. Thrawn in a 40$-50$ set (with other great minifigs), Rex's Microfighter, maybe even the Tantive hallway with 6 figs + Fives for 55$. Quote

Balrogofmorgoth Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I feel like the sail barge should be more of an MBS type set than actual UCS. Idk one way or another but seems like it should be something that is minifig centric. It’s not that exciting of a vehicle without the scene to recreate Quote
