A backpack with BD-1 would be heaven but realistically we'll get a blue lightsaber and blaster

Where are the rumors about the Barge I haven't seen anything from the regular sources, so if anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be appreciated.

I do think the recent releases minifigs-wise make me think it's safe to assume an interior is coming with reuses (ie Mos Eisley-esque) however if they don't include more than a couple of figs and are missing an interior IMO the set will be the most overpriced USC set ever. I know UCS isn't for figs and they're display sets but with the Barge that rule really doesn't apply. It'd be like if the sandcrawle came with a Jawa on a black display and no droids or figs in the joint. Nobody actually wants a big brown chunk (barge or crawler) sitting on their display with a random fig on a black UCS plaque. Those transports are made for to be MBS-style sets with a fleshed-out interior where iconic scenes can be created. It would be a massive missed opportunity to not create 3 or 4 exclusive figs and an incredibly detailed interior with moveable sections for viewing or display (much like the AT-AT).

I don't think we'll even get a blaster if it's Fallen Order Cal, since he didn't have one in that game.

Most Barge rumors are from foggy here- click his user profile and it'll be his more recent posts.

It'd be even worse than that sandcrawler hypothetical- It'd be like if the Sandcrawler came with 2 droids, but no jawa, since Foggy implied there was no jabba the hutt in the set.

okay I would bet on no Huttslayer Leia but this will be an 18+ set on the top shelf if its in the store at all, and unlike a throne room this is the moment every girl dreams of, strangling Jabba with the chain he tried to hold you with, she should be here.

Exactly. This set, of all sets, should have her. (Personally I think it's fine for her to be in the palace too, or a system barge, but this is the scene where she got the huttslayer name in-universe. She should be here- and it's not even like the violence would prohibit this. As Dave Filoni famously said, "he's a slug"- not a human, and lego star wars has gone more graphic scenes and deaths before.

Lego just released a female CMF with a sports bra and chiseled abs. There should be absolutely no restriction on a making a Huttslayer Leia, especially in an 18+ set.

@ArrowBricks brought up that if real, it's likely for the skeleton crew set, since one of the main kids is max rebo's species.

Atleast I didn’t imagine this was a rumour! Crazy how fast it has been brought up after we spoke about it like a few hours before!

I don’t think it’s Lego’s choice. It’s Disney’s. Admittedly, it would be catastrophic if she wasn’t included.

Yeah I totally agree- but for some reason it seems Lego may not see it the same way. (It's also probably not that it's what she wore itself as much as that jabba made her wear it while enslaved, which is a little dark in it's implication, but again- this is the scene where leia kills an intergalactic crime lord slug. It should be fine, especially for a CMF set)

I suppose that's possible, but I feel factory leaks rarely manage to get that much. Even if it's not just a single part, it's usually only the unique parts of the fig- malak's cape, for example, isn't something I think we'd see, nor are fives's antenna and gun. Of course the guy could have applied them at home, but we don't usually see that with these sorts of leaks either. In addition, I can't remember the last time a cloth element leaked.

but realistically speaking, there's a reason we don't see full sets leak from the factory- the risk/reward is too low. The benefit is really only from the unique elements, so the risk of removing parts that prove nothing/won't sell for a ton on ebay doesn't pay off. The only way we'd see it is if someone somehow managed to smuggle a NISB set out of the factory, and... man, said factory would have to have absolutely 0 security for someone not to notice that. You can't exactly slip a $70 set into your back pocket.

Also, I guess this is probably obvious, but if you had a NIB set at a factory and were only interested in leaking it you could always just take a picture of it :pir-skel:

I literally don’t see what the big issue with Slave Leia is. Like you can’t argue that Leia wearing it and killing Jabba while wearing it is bad. While also saying normal bikini’s are fine. Like Disney Channel movies and shows have beach scenes with young girls in bikini’s 🤷‍♂️ not to mention Jasmine’s Red Dress 💀 Like Disney has no “Moral High Ground” on this issue. If the Bikinis/revealing clothes in those movies and shows are fine then so is Slave Leia.

It’s beyond frustrating that Disney’s absurd puritanical standards have the potential to deprive us of great sets and figures. What a waste of creative potential if THIS is what prevents us from having an interior in a Sail Barge.

I know it’s very intriguing right now but I wonder if a lot of the discussion about the Sail-Barge will turn out to be pointless once we get more information.

Personally I expect a minifigure count around the same as the 2013 set - Jabba, Bib Fortuna, Luke, Chewbacca, R2-D2  and a guard. The Sail-Barge could have an interior for Jabba’s viewing room and then use the rest of the space for technic structural support

I would want/expect the following (Given the Minifigure lineup in the Sarlacc set):

Jabba, Salacious B, Huttslayer Leia, R2-D2, C3-PO, Max Reno, Salt-Marae, Jabba’s Henchman (e.g, Vizam).

I feel like it's a bit of a leap in logic to say that the fact that we MIGHT not get a lot of figures or interior space in the Barge is because the set MIGHT not come with Leia which MIGHT be because Disney axed it which MIGHT mean LEGO didn't put an interior in the set.

No one is saying that, it’s all been spoken about as a hypothetical. The fact that Lego hasn’t done a single huttslayer Leia figure since 2013 is strange, though (along with other decisions like avoiding the Slave I name in favor of Boba Fett’s starship). We won’t know for sure until they either make one, or make a public comment on why they can’t.

Fives looks great! Except that odd pauldron. Pass on Malek, but that is personal, looks like a good figure to me. I do wonder why these figures were chosen. Would be nice if we do get to hear about that.

Pass on the Sail Barge without an interior. That feels essential to me to make a purchase. Without it, I don't find the vessel that interesting. It also needs a lot of figures to flesh it out for me.

I don’t think it’s as simplistic as that (even though that does sound complicated).

The speculation stems from Foggyfate.

I am really curious what the Death Star set is all about.  It was leaked separately/later from the others in most of the leaks I saw, has the least consistent info on the character selections (seen things from 5-8 characters) with the only consistent part being Cal (anniversary) and Vader.  Has conflicting reports on what it is (conference room only vs. playset) - I suspect playset like Yavin but half the size.  Initially had the price wrong with the earliest leaks.  Etc.  This is also the set I am most excited for with the summer wave (minus Thrawn's set).  Hoping we get better info (especially on the character selection) sooner than later.

I think the conference room came from someone’s wish list which turned in to a rumour was debunked then turned in to a rumour again. Think it’s just like you say Cal and Vader could literally be anything. At this point though a conference room set would sell poorly

If I interpreted that wrong, that's my fault, but I take that to mean "if they can't include Leia -> they designed the set with no interior at all"

Both of which are, IMO, overreacting to something that hasn't even happened or been confirmed at all presently, when any of the speculation has been uncertain at best.  We have no idea what minifigures are coming with it, and we have no idea what the interior is like until we get either a much more concrete set of details or actual pictures.

Would it be disappointing if they didn't go all-out with the interior or minifigures, as they did with the Cantina?  Sure, I don't disagree at all there.  But I just don't see a point in delving super deep into the hypothetical disappointment when we're 6+ months away from when we'd likely even begin to sniff official pictures.

I believe it is (and should be) a playset as I think it would be cool to keep getting opposing base playsets like Yavin and the Death Star (Hoth vs. Executor, Home One vs. Endor Bunker, Theed vs. Lucrehulk etc.).  Especially if paired with a battle set like the Tantive Hallway (both rebel troops and imperial troops with two command bases and unique characters).  Really good concept if it continues.  I just want more clarity because for whatever reason this set has had a lot of conflicting information.

I don’t want to spoil anything else about the show for myself, so please don’t respond to this post with the answer, but I really hope the character canonizes 2-limbed Ortolans as was originally intended rather than the 4-limbed boring ones.

Max Rebo pretty clearly had just two limbs in BOBF, so I wouldn’t worry about that too much. I’d be shocked if this new one had four.

I don't think there's anything strange about it. She can really only appear in either Jabba's Palace or the Sail Barge due to the scene specific nature of her costume. Without those sets on shelves its going to be impossible to release her anywhere else.

It hasn't just been the slave costume either. It took a decade for us to get a new Ceremony Leia in last year's Yavin 4 set. We haven't had a new Ewok Village or Boushh Leia since before 2013. Cloud City has only been done twice in 2003 and 2018 and we've still never had variants for her Bespin Escape, The Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker costumes.

Hasbro did touch briefly on Slave Leia in an interview last year mentioning there's no ban on her.

Also a reminder that the costume was literally playable in the most recent Lego Star Wars video game.

I don't know if I'm phrasing it weirdly or something, but I agree, I'm just saying Disney might not view it the same way as we do. I'm not saying their view is logical or correct, just that it exists. (and again, that it's likely less just that the costume is revealing and more the implication behind jabba forcing her to wear it)

Don't even bring this up. Out of all the things TBOBF did wrong, I legitimately count removing Slave One's name high on that list. Such a dumb choice by lucasfilm.

Does the skeleton crew kid have two or four? I also prefer the two-limbed look for those guys, but I feel like it'd be hard to make one of the main four kids have only two limbs

The ship was never renamed in-universe; merch branding just moved away from the Slave I name. I honestly think that this was done less because Disney is being weird and more because the name suits a villain’s ship far better than a hero(?)’s one.

True—the ship's name wasn't un-canonized at all. Plus, the ship's name was never dropped in any on-screen media. Labelling Slave I merch as Slave I would easily be a bit confusing for someone who isn't older and more well-versed in off-screen lore and Wookieepedia.

I think it’s namedropped by Aurra Sing in one single TCW episode, but yeah, the broader point still stands. “Slave I“ not being used for merch has no bearing on the canonicity of its name  Jabba‘s Sailbarge technically has a name too, and yet almost nobody calls it the Khetanna.

These speculations are based on comments from foggyfate, who has seen prelims that we haven’t seen, leading him to claim that we may get little to no interior. Admittedly, it is still far out, but it’s not baseless. I hope we’re wrong.
