If so, that'd be a great set idea! Really cool design Considering Vernestra Rwoh is in the show, it can’t be that much farther beyond the start of the High Republic comics/books. (Maximum a few decades.) Unless Mirialans age way slower than humans. So definitely not unreasonable for them to be around when similar versions of Y-wings and TIE/ln fighters lasted over 50 years. (Not a spoiler for the show, since this is info announced last Star Wars Celebration, but I’ll spoiler it anyways.) Quote

The Acolyte is reportedly set 100 years before TPM, making the spoiler character around 150 years old, which makes sense Do Vectors still appear in any of the stories the character‘s involved in? Hmm, I guess it makes sense to make the human-like species’s lifespans longer so you can use them in more stories, like they did with Weequays and Hondo. Looking at Wookieepedia, the latest in the High Republic that the Vectors appear is 229 BBY so far, although there apparently are still a small number of functional Vectors at the Jedi Temple in 41 BBY when Obi-Wan is a padawan. So definitely possible to show up 97 years later in the Acolyte, but probably not too likely. Quote

So it's definitely possible Vectors appear in the show, but maybe not overly likely, and if they do, who knows if they're prominent enough to warrant a set. Then again, we got an E-Wing set for Ahsoka despite the vehicle's very limited screentime Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Falcon Fan has taken down all the summer leaks he posted. It’s probably nothing. But for safety of your happiness I will recommend not fully expecting anything that’s leaked this summer. But once again I think he was just requested to take down the leaks by Lego. So don’t panic. Flawless Cowboy Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 People are gonna be ordering like crazy to get multiples of the GWP carrier. Brickheadz also revealed. Panaka is surprisingly in the lineup. It’s the 25th anniversary of TPM, he’s in the branding, but Obi-Wan is not showing up in a single set. Maddening. Quote
Minishark2000 Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Well. That's a very weird may 4th promo that could have been a set but I won't complain! More droids! Quote

Almost like Lego should’ve made a Duel of the Fates Diaroma and Naboo Royal Starcruiser. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Sounds like something that should just be a regular set TBH. Quote
Lordhelmet Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 the droideka minifigures is intriguing. That set just doubled its sales with an exclusive minifig. promo is cool, but I’ll probably pass on spending big this year unless there is something more unique to it. Cool that it is episode one based. Quote
ArrowBricks Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) Really excited for that Brickheadz pack now! Great selection of characters there. Queen Amidala and Jar-Jar will be great. May 4th Droid Carrier Promo sounds great. Feels like an actual set, which I prefer. If I was being a bit greedy, I’d have loved a Droid Commander (still could happen), or extra wishlistingy (great word, I know), a Nute Gunray. Can’t complain, though. Podrace Diorama news is a bit lacklustre. Subjectively, I’d have wanted 4-5 microscale Podrace and less focus on the terrain, but that is just me. That buildable Droideka is going to be superb, too! Can’t wait for May 1st to get the Droideka and the Brickheadz pack along with the promo. Now, I wait for the Sith Infiltrator. Edited February 11, 2024 by ArrowBricks Quote

mirkwoodspiders Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 What do we think the price threshold for the GWP will be? If it's around $100, decent chance I got for multiples. Any higher it'd be hard to justify, though. Quote

It's cool, but it is B1s. They aren't exactly rare. I'm not sure it'll drive people more than other years' promos. I like the GWP, and probably should have held off on purchases until may, as it is something I'd like to have gotten. I don't want any of the may sets, so this'll be the first year in a few where I miss the promo for may 4th. 3 hours ago, Lordhelmet said: the droideka minifigures is intriguing. Though that's confusing too because they say "at last", but... haven't most droidikas been roughly figure-scaled? I always thought they were about the height of a minifig/droidikas in lore were about the height of a human, and a quick google puts them at 6ft/1.83m. Quote

Ah I misread that, thought he said minifig but you are right just mini fig scale, disregard then, hopefully they have a better design. Quote

Mandalorianknight Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 17 minutes ago, Flawless Cowboy said: Not for the figs obviously, for the transport. I don't think it'll have any new prints, and it's a pretty generic droid transport- it'll most likely just be a downsized version of the one they've done a few times already. My assumption is aside from the youtubers who are buying insane copies of sets anyway, most people who want a lot of droid transports would just bricklink the parts for ~$10-15 rather than spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on sets they wouldn't otherwise be getting for a GWP. 1 hour ago, Lordhelmet said: Ah I misread that, thought he said minifig but you are right just mini fig scale, disregard then, hopefully they have a better design. It's been a good chunk of time since our last droidika, I'm hoping they've come up with something using some newer parts. That 1l bar with the stud that they use to pose CMF figs feels like it could factor in somewhere, maybe to help mount the guns on it. Quote

Wonder if the design will be new I absolutely hope so. Not a single LEGO Droideka has nailed the design in my opinion. They've all been way off and most are completely out of scale. The way this leak is worded makes me think there's a possibility that it might use some new specialized pieces to achieve a more faithful look and I would be ecstatic about that. Regardless, I'm very excited for this set since Droidekas are my favorite droids in all of Star Wars. Oh, and I would almost bet money on the legs for the minifig-scale figure utilizing the newer mech finger piece from the Marvel and Ninjago mechs. As for the May 4th promo, that's actually a brilliant promo. No fomo from exclusive figures but still provides a great value to Star Wars fans while also tying in to the Phantom Menace anniversary. It's a great thing, so I fully expect all the usual youtube personalities to absolutely hate it. Edited February 12, 2024 by ToaDraco Quote
