But since we can assume it'll be more than 2 sets, then it's more likely that the rest will show up somewhere. And it'd more likely for them to show up in the sets we know less about, the ones later in the year.

To be fair though, we had already heared some details about the spring sets too, before the anniversary figures came out of nowhere  The droideka for instance may also include one for all we know!

Just a wild guess...

Since Renown knows about the fig selection, and his comment on the set being " ...it could well be (Z-95), and might well be within the realm of possibility for all I know... ", is it safe to say that these figs are most likely clones, or troopers ? I mean, sounds to me that the possibility of a Z-95 is not completely ruled out, which means the set could be some kind of military vehicle, and it's natural to throw in some clones or troopers.

I thought this as well, but since the character to which @Renown is referring might be the anniversary Minifig, I do not think that we have enough information to assume that the desirable ‘fig is TCW-era. That said, the set itself definitely could be.

No, not quite. BUT, it’s been confirmed elsewhere it’s ALL FAKE.

He did, yes. On one of his posts about the Chinese New Year sets, someone asked him about the Z-95 and Temple and he specifically said they were not coming.

I mean we do have a yellow markings rebel Y-wing with Yavin 4 so a blue markings republic one might be different enough to sell concurrently whilst another rebel one might 'compete' more with the Yavin set.

I thought about that, but I feel like the fact that it is a small part of a $160 set is enough to differentiate it. Besides, the Microfighter could also be seen as "competing" with the system one to that extent.

As for the minifigs, I just don't think any non-anniversary figs are desirable enough that lego would tank the set's sales by putting the Rex fig out first. By having the fig out in a $13 set, a lot of people are going to get it just for Rex. Then, if they were to release a system one after, they've shot themselves in the foot by removing the massive draw of Rex in a non $625 set.

Speculating about the hyped minifig(s) in the $40 August set is pointless, but I still can’t help but wonder what character(s) would spark a reaction like that  Star Wars as a franchise is so big, there are some characters that a huge chunk of the fandom would go bananas over, while leaving another large chunk completely cold at the same time :snicker:

All I hope for is a new character. A redo of a previous minifig wouldn’t be bad (say, a new Zeb), but not worthy of this kind of teasing

Anniversary figs, no?

Hmm, true. But none of the June sets are (currently) rumoured to have any either! :shrug_oh_well: And neither does the BARC speeder!

Those are all Mando sets, though. I think there's a correlation there. The sets based on new content aren't considered part of the anniversary for whatever reason.

Agreed with this, and I think it makes sense. It's just like how the ROS line wasn't branded as 20th anniversary. Any 25th sets will likely be staples of the theme, remakes of classic sets, or iconic moments or figures from Star Wars as a whole. As such, it doesn't make sense to have Mando or Ahsoka there as "newer content."

The sad thing, what does make sense then is another Luke's Landspeeder.

Oh!! I didn't realize Renown's referring to to the anniversary minifig. Must have misread or something. I thought it's about the regular ones in 75388.

Yeah I believe both are fake. I'm just thinking the possibility of regular minifigs in 75388 being Republic Commando, as the selection is described "nice surprise". But as Classic_Spaceman points out that it might refer to the anniversary fig rather than regular ones...ok I should stop right here unless there're newer hints.

They may be; all that we know is that someone desirable is in the set.

I was just assuming we would find the anniversary minifigs only in the spring sets since that‘s what they usually do with  them (having them spread across one wave I mean). For instance, the 2019 classic minifigs were all part of the same wave, Harry Potter had its anniversary figs in one wave plus a D2C set, and the same goes for the Ninjago anniversary too IIRC.

But yeah, there‘s no evidence to actually support the notion that they’re doing it again in this style  It’s definitely possible they’ll be spread across the entire year instead!

Not to be that guy, but the same does not go for Ninjago, out of the 7 anniversary figs, 4 came in the January, one with the February D2C and the last 2 in the June wave.

There's a worrying trend that you've made me notice, both these 2 more recent sets of anniversary figures ( Ninjago and HP) have had at least one of the anniversary figures show up in large (£200+) a D2C set.

Fair point! So there is precedence after all

The TIE Interceptor has been confirmed to not feature one I believe, so I don’t think the other one (Sailbarge?) will have one either.

That's a big relief. I have no interest in it, so it's good that  me not getting it won't lock me out of an interesting fig.

The Jabba set does interest me more so it's less of a big deal to me, though with the number of big sets on the horizon I still might not get it, depending of how it looks when finished and the exact UK price, and just if my financial situation changes.

I think some of this is also dependent on how they display the figures. For example, if they were doing something similar to 2019 with the classic figs remade, or to HP with the golden figures in 2021, then I could see one being in a D2C. For example, a golden classic Boba in the Sail Barge. But I just don't see a random fig showing up in a Sail Barge or something. In the case of HP and Ninjago as well, the D2Cs were centered on the idea of the celebration. NC Gardens was THE anniversary set above them all (with Wu in it accordingly), and Icons was a celebration of Harry Potter (with the three golden figs in it). The Sail Barge doesn't really fit this in my opinion. Maybe if it was a Death Star or something, but not a Sail Barge.

I don't mind Kosha in the battle pack, with her helmet off it's her but with it on it's a generic enough look.

Though I would have rathered a purely imperial pack and a separate pseudo-battlepack with the 'hero' Mandalorians.

While I love the sound of this set, it’s pretty sad they seem to have abandoned the classic BPs again so shortly after reintroducing them :shrug_oh_well: I always thought the 2-faction packs in 2012/13 didn’t do as well (hence the 1-faction packs returning in 2014), but apparently they feel confident in the concept again?

I wonder if they are just trying to stick to two battle packs a year. Given we’ve got one in January and this in June maybe they didn’t want to do too many battlepacks in one go. Especially as next year we will still have the 2 clone packs on the shelves still. In a perfect world you would have one Mandolorian and one imperial.

is it true the battle pack links to the bunker set as well if so it could lend itself to being able to buy a couple to make a larger kind of battle build

I have to imagine having a ridiculous amount of battlepacks on the market gives diminishing returns. In 2024 we'll have the 501st Battlepack (in it's second year), the 332nd Battlepack, The Clones VS Droids Battlepack and the Mando Battlepack. Any more than 4 and I think they'll start to cannibalise each other's sales. They really should stick to one clone battlepack a year IMO. That means at any given time you should have 2 clone battlepacks and 2 non-clone battlepacks which seems fair enough to me. I say that as someone who army builds a lot of clones. 1 Clone Battlepack per year and 1 Large Clone set a year would be more than enough clone representation.

Simple format:
Make big clone set, introduce a few of a new clone + the commander
Next year, make clone battlepack allowing you to army build the clones from the previous set.

It's quite predictable but over like 5 years you'd hit every base you need to while not hogging 50% of a year just to clone sets. We could even have some CIS sets lol.

I never had an issue with the 2-faction packs so long as it was grunts from each side. The pack with 2 endor rebels, a stormtrooper, and a scout trooper was awesome, and I'd be similarly happy with a set including 2 snowtroopers and 2 hoth rebels, or 2 rebel fleet troopers and 2 stormtroopers. The issue with this one is it's two generic imperials and two NAMED heroes, (or, in the fleet commander's case, not named, but still like a specific dude)

Exactly, having a VS battle pack is fantastic, as long as the two factions are both generic. The Mando one is pushing it but they can be customized across other mando figures if you want. It really sucks when you get an army one one faction but have no one for them to face off against.

It is possible that the Mandos vs. Imps battle pack is a one-off rather than the beginning of a new trend; the Imperial Commandos only appeared in two episodes of Mando S3 (and were all defeated in the second episode), so LEGO may feel that both a Mando battle pack and an Imperial Commando pack would not sell as well as a single one with both factions would. Clones, Stormtroopers, Rebel Troopers, Droids, etc, have more appearances, so their popularity is such that individual packs will sell.

Hey guys are the grogu escape set figures actually confirmed? I think it’s fake since neither promo bricks or 1414falconfan had said anything about it so I’d asume if we get 501st troopers regs or shock troopers, it just doesn’t make sense to me to include shock troopers for the 3rd time, that slot on the battlepack could’ve been something better honestly like a 327th anaxes 187th 41st elite corps, 181st, 91st, 87th, 442nd so much cool stuff

The battle pack lineup has been confirmed by Promobricks.

Remember that new prints do cost money, and while LSW does have a much higher budget than other themes that have to worry about this like superheroes, it still does have a budget. Not to mention at the rate lego's going, they're going to burn through the remaining major legions pretty darn fast if they start putting more than 2 legions per HY.
