Posted November 11, 20231 yr Hi, I'd like to show you my recent creation. It's Dragline Excavator. I like the geometry of this linkage and the way it works. It's not a big deal. I've just made a new bucket for my previous MOD of 42042 that I posted some time ago.
November 11, 20231 yr Nice but they don't work this way. The bucket is thrown, not controlled lowered. Edited November 11, 20231 yr by JaBaCaDaBra

True, and you're not alone in this, I've seen many dragline mocs but nobody ever managed to develop a quick release Besides that, the bucket will probably not heavy enough. it's about 60 years ago that I saw one working but I'll never forget that sound of screaming cables and feel of a giant bucket smashing into the ground.
November 12, 20231 yr It appears how the bucket is lowered depends on the conditions and the operator: https://duckduckgo.com/?hps=1&q=dragline+excavator+video&atb=v341-1&iax=videos&ia=videos&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D8UCOv2v4hv4
