Max_Lego Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) Edit: I redesigned the MOC, adding opening side brakes Yesterday I discovered the perfect Batmobile of my dream from Alex Ross's 2005 Justice comic and decided to recreate it out of Lego! Initially I wanted the front wheels to have a steering mechanism, designed by myself, but, sadly, there wasn't enough space for it... Anyway, here is the finished model: The cabin fits two minifigures. As the original, the MOC has a lot of displays and instrument panels inside: The original Batmobile from the comic used opening side brakes to create aerodynamic drag, which were absent on the initial model. Now this mistake is corrected: Hope you liked my little build! Edited December 20, 2023 by Max_Lego Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Excellent build! One of the best batmobile mocs I've seen, I love the cab. On the note of the side the steering wheel's on, in America (where Gotham is, as you say), while we drive on the right side of the road, the driver sits on the left side of the car. Quote

Thank you very much! My mistake, I meant that when people drive on the right, the driver sits on the left. Here, the driver is weirdly enough sitting on the right - despite the right-sided movement in America: Why would he do that? - Maybe... Because he's Batman?! Quote
Max_Lego Posted December 19, 2023 Author Posted December 19, 2023 I finally got the solution of the steering front wheels problem, so here it is! The front of the Batmobile had to be redesigned to fit the mechanism, so now it looks like this: Sadly, I came to the realisation that the rear of the model is absolutely inaccurate - it should be shorter, while the cabin should be longer. If I ever redesign it again, I'll post the more accurate version here. Quote
Max_Lego Posted December 20, 2023 Author Posted December 20, 2023 (edited) I redesigned the MOC to look more faithful to the original from the comic. Although I think I liked the previous version more... Don't worry about the transparent bricks on the sides, the minifigures' heads are OK. On the bright side of things - the cabin now fits 4 minifigures: I hope you like the redesign! Edited December 20, 2023 by Max_Lego Quote
