[Freebuild] Embervale Advent Calendar 2023 - Winter Nights

The nights are getting longer, the air is getting colder, and it's even starting to snow here in France : time for fire in the fireplace, and time for an Advent Calendar!

From tomorrow onwards, I'll update this topic with a small build or minifig per day.
This year's theme will be winter nights in Embervale, with comments from my main GOH characters Alrune (elven mage and governor of Embervale), her uncle Dresghar and Evrart (the captain of the guards).

Dresghar – “When the nights get long and cold and deep, the villagers believe the light of his torch wards off the evil that lurks in darkness.”
Evrart – “And just in case it would not be enough, Sir, I have assigned him an excellent dwarven-made halberd.”

Connecting calendar pieces! Very nice! It was very hard for me to identify that skeleton leg, I was not sure ,if it is a lego piece...

I think it might be possible to put a tiny LED underneath. The flame part is held by a bar and the connection is rather instable, but there is a small space behind it.

Great Idea for that torch using the marvel blast pieces.  the fig looks great is that torso and legs from harry potter?

@zoth33 Thank you! The torso is indeed from a HP minifig (the Death Eater from 2019), and the legs are quite commonly found in the Star Wars sets.

Dresghar – “Indicating directions in a land where most people are illiterate requires creativity. I’m thinking of replacing the straightforward signs we have in Embervale by riddles to spice things up!”

Nice litttle scene.

I removed from my last BL cart three « kunai »… it’s now a regret!

I didn’t spot the skeleton legs. I kept a few of them for further usage but didn’t find any. It’s not a surprise you  finally found one!

@Sympatik Brick It's the very first time I find a use for the kunai...It's so big, compared to minifigs! But the skeleton leg-with-boot is more versatile that I would have thought.

Day 5. Mouse and Barrels

Dresghar – “Our villagers have taken the habit to let barrels and chests outside their houses. Then they have fun filling them with whatever come to their mind – rubbish, pranks, booby traps or trinkets they don’t want anymore: it keeps Adventurers busy and usually causes a good laugh!”
