Okay then, why does Mr. Critic have a special group? I kinda doubt he'd be assigned to test anything... Is it like suspended or something?

I saw I new group "Taking a break" is it like a "bad kid" group for when you get chambered?

Yeah, probably. Changed, again. I personally thought that the Bad Kid group was more... appropriate and humiliating, and "Taking A Break" is a little... I don't know, childish? But more humiliating... why don't you make a "Taking a Time-Out" group, while you're at it, staff.

What about plain "little kid" or "for ages 6-12", that would be humiliating.

Then again, its something for the Mods and Admins to decide. Their will is our law and their law should be our will...

I think there also should be "tags" or whatever its called, to represent the primary "group" one belongs to, like Star Wars, Pirates, City. JMHO.

And maybe represent that in their "color".

Yes, that's he new name for the "bad kids" group. When a member is in the "Taking a break" group, the staff is having a private direct conversation with the member (I don't like the term "chambered"). This can be for a number of reasons. Often the member being too young, immature, not following forum guidelines after several warnings, ... . There can also be a simple misunderstanding that needs to be discussed, so "Taking a break" is not always negative.

Interestingly we changed it so it was less humiliating! Remember that rarely we do that to someone with the intention to ban. In most cases we just want to be sure that we have the members attention... but if the member is not receptive than a ban is the only option. :sceptic:

I took a look at the members list, and did some searches.

I selected number of total posts and ascending order (no searchwords), and then I saw an enormous amount of members with 0 posts who haven't logged in for YEARS.

Is it necessary to keep these members in the list? Would there be advantages cleaning that database up? No threads or topics would be broken due to 0 posts.

Just a little suggestion. I don't care about a long members list.

Maybe another color or groupname can be given to the ones that haven't logged in for eg. a year.

Interestingly we changed it so it was less humiliating!

Well, actually that is a very good statement and I think you have succeeded in doing so.

Personnaly I find that you should "spare" the people that are given a second chanche, but this does not count for the ones who get themselves banned (unless he's four years old perhaps - four for real I mean-

And I am sorry to say so, but I have noticed that to get banned from Eurobricks you already have to had done something quite awful.

And that doesn't happen much, but sometimes we see a pervert, a chil(dish) one, someone without respect to other members, someone who doesn't worship Lego and/or the staff as we all should do  ,...

I think that with all those good and hard-working MODs and Admins, people don't dare to try something they shouldn't do, it is seldom that I am online without any staff member(s) as well !

This works "represive". And I know about what I am speaking, I am online (and on EB) for multiple HOURS a day, studying from behind my laptop, I visit the forum every-so-many-minutes.

PS: I was not (primarely) trying to "suck-up" to the staff, that would only be a secondary, not to be forseen and unwanted side-effect  .
