While the windscreen in green as a mudguard is clever i suspect the System pieces will fall off easily.

This, without wheels, looks nice (not resembling the real one but at least it is nice) so I think the main issue with this model is about the wheels.

I can't get past the tyres. They make this 🐕 look more like a windrower.

I wouldn't get too worried about those wheels. I'm sure that the only thing that the average builder will notice is that the front wheels are bigger than those in the back, but that's also the case on the real machine.

I'm pretty sure the average builder will also notice the shitty cab interior.

I genuinely can't believe all the hatred that this set has received in just this thread. It's absolutely disgusting. It's as if people expected this set to have a bunch of new parts molded specifically for it so that it's an exact replica of a 9700 in the slightest detail, inside and out.

Hmm some people (including me) had just higher hopes in this model, as we expected to be more based on the real machine ;-)

Fair enough. At the end of the day, even though it's marketed as being a model of a specific machine, it's still a small set that's part of a theme where functions are more important than looks. Frieden my friend.

Always on the lookout for something negative to say aren't you? If you don't like this set, don't buy it and keep your negative thoughts to yourself. Doing so will only save you money. As my late grandmother (who just lost a grueling 10-year bout with cancer) always told me, try and see the positive things around you and if you fail, keep your thoughts to yourself. I don't want to go on about my life, but I'm only trying to honor her memory by practicing the principle that she lived by and instilled into her children and grandchildren's minds. I apologize for the angry response (particularly to you Jundis), my only goal was to state that this set has, in my mind, positive attributes.

Thank you.

It doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet, but it looks as though there is some kind of fake engine, under an opening hood.

Intriguing, do you have an image(s) ?

At first I think this is good looking and good functional model but separate small wheel for header is bad. Why not connect it on main drive wheel?

I assume that is done so the header does not spin when it is lifted... to give it a "drive mode" and a "work mode" (since you can't fold it for a proper "drive mode")

Also, I think that having a moving header (to be put and "drive" and "work" mode") that still spins when it's down would be difficult from a mechanical standpoint if it were connected to the wheels.

If the front wheels also drive a fake engine, I have no issue with this. Actually, why should the header move when its in up position? ;-)

Another thing that strange is, that the chute is off-center...? I mean you can easily switch between left and right feeding, but still, this seems somehow odd.

Well, I'm very sorry to hear about your grandmother and your loss, but I was under the impression that this was Eurobricks, and that's the subject to which I am sticking. This forum is about the discussion of sets, negative or otherwise, and I am totally free to express my opinions.

Negative or otherwise.

The average target audience of this set is a 9 year old kid who will be pumped to be able to put a minifig in that seat.

Said minifigure will really have to reach for that steering wheel...

I guess you didn't build many City or Speed Champions sets lately, this is the exact setup you will find in them :)

No, I haven't. And driving one of those cars sounds painful!

Actually, maybe I was wrong. (This seems to be an unusual thing to read in this thread!) I was looking at the 12t half bevel that is visible under the main body, but probably that's for steering.

Thanks for the rendering and thanks for including a headpiece. I agree with kbalage on this - I think that the target audience will be delighted. One thing is for certain, a 9-year-old me would've been.

That's what I thought, I figured that the steering system would take up quite a bit of space.

Feel free to use the Studio file I provided on the first page. I kept updating it. I kinda reached an impasse with too many hidden parts in the available images.
