31158 Sea Creatures has been revealed!

I was hoping for a set with a large main animal (like the tiger, giraffe and fox sets), but instead we get 6 small ones. Similar to the fish tank set 31122. Or similar to how I expected a 500 piece submarine in 31130, but instead we got a small submarine and a small octopus.

Back to the set, at least the turtle seems nice here. Not sure we ever got a better turtle in the past. But on the other hand it is far behind those bigger turtle designs that appeared in the ideas submissions.

However the variety in species is great, only two fishes, and then turtle, crab, seahorse and jellyfish.

First B-model looks likes two squids? That would be cool!

The turtle is the highlight, the fish and the crab are great small builds, but the seahorse is a bit... eh. If the head were attached more accurately (further back and curving with the spine) it would look a lot better.

Almost two months after release I haven't found the 31154 forest animals elsewhere except lego.com and amazon.de, so there are no discounts yet too. Not many reviews on youtube either. Why is there such limited availability? I would guess it is not a Lego exclusive since it is a Creator set.

31130 was exclusive to the lego stores for a good amount of time too. I know because I bought my copy there, before it became widely available at other retailers. So there's hope 31154 will get more distribution too.

3-in-1 can be somewhat exclusive, from previous years,  I remember sets like the Aquarium, Crocodile, Castle and the most recent last year's Bird House , or Pink Parrot being LEGO exclusive, or at least very limited distribution without the usual discounts.

Do we have any idea what the summer Creator sets are yet?

So far I think it's just a 626 piece T-Rex set (probably follows the style of the other detailed animal builds), and a 939 piece Beach House (perhaps the only minifig 3-in-1 set of the year, but Dreamzzz went  heavy on some genius 3-in-1 builds for this summer)

According to this list posted on Reddit, it is indeed exclusive to Amazon. That's unfortunate for a run of the mill unlicensed Creator set. Does Lego not like money? (I know they do, a lot).

I've seen an image of the T-Rex on Instagram. It looks like an upscaled 31058. Mostly dark green I guess. Side build is a small nest with eggs. The alternate builds are a pterosaur and a ceratopsia.

Beach House looks really nice, it's the first creator house in a long time that's not a jumble of colors , or multiple smaller buildings, also looks like a deeper interior then the last street set.

Could potentially be one of those sets where combining multiples is worth it.

And it could be an alternative / addition to 42639: Andrea's Modern Mansion , as it's the similar style of architecture / location.

T-Rex also benefits a lot from the larger scale.

Eh, the beach house looks more like a facade to me. Easy pass. And the dinosaur set is just a remake of the existing one, all three builds are the same! Considering that the existing set is on sale for almost a decade, dinos must be really popular. Can't deny that it is a well designed set though, Lego is killing it with the animal sets.

I like it, but it feels pricey. Didn't Creator 3-in-1 sets use to have a quite good PPP? Now it seems not so much.

I built this for everyone who likes the modern house, but doesn't want to buy it because it has no back. Well, here you go:

The building is currently unfurnished, and the set will require modifications to allow the custom half to swing open / lock shut. All needed parts for this MOD and set modifications are included in the LDD file on this Bricksafe page as of late yesterday. Just thought you guys wanting a back for it would want to know, and apologies if this post is considered bad form. This was not my intent, I was just trying to help!

31151: T. rex certainly looks like one of those sets with giant alternate build potential, with the very useful color scheme and parts, for other dinosaurs or dragon builds, but also terrain, a tree or something using military green camo type of colors.

With so many August releases in other themes but nothing in Creator, should we wait for new releases until January?

All Sets we had infos to come this year are out, so very likely, January will be next, yeah.
