*Your entry has earned 10 XP (S:3, T:3, A:4) + 2 bonus XP for a total of 12XP

It was morning. The trial was short; the treacherous commander approved his intentions to surrender to the New Republic and claimed it was the only reasonable thing to do, with the Empire being no longer as powerful as it was.

After the trial, Commissar Rax decided to inspect the waveskimmers in their hangar to check combat readiness. Rebel commandos could strike any time, and he had to make sure their boats could be intercepted before they could damage the ship.

The Galactic Empire was equipped with squadrons of AQ-3 waveskimmers for offensive and defensive actions against small watercraft. The speeders had two blaster cannons and folding wings with pontoons; the crew consisted of an Air Force pilot and a gunner.

Wow ! Very nice second shot, mate ! I like your waveskimmer !

Just a hint. If you have some spare tiles, a MOC looks better if you cover the free studs with. Especially for a futuristic theme like star wars

look here and here and here and here

There are examples for ground and sea

Dear Dark Side team!

I must apologise for the low quality of my builds. I think I started freebuilding too soon. Next time I'll try to make smaller builds with better quality and less stupid studs. They make everything worse. For example, my TIE interceptor was a complete disgrace before I changed the solar panels.

By the way, horizontal bricks can help with the lack of tiles. :vader: I'll use them next time!

@Max_Lego : there is no question about quality of built here.

Your MOCs are OK,and that skimmer is very cool. That was just an advise, not a criticism. The advise was available if you had enough tiles,

if not, feel free to ignore it.

there is no question of time, build as fast/slow as you want, and a stud is not "stupid" if you lack tiles. And I repeat, no problem of quality here !

Yep, very cool wave-skimmer  How large is the crew? Pilot and gunner or just pilot?

Everyone has to start small and the collection of pieces will grow over time. The story is also very important! And most important is fun, not the most perfect moc! :classic:

Judging by this image, I thought that it has a crew of at least two: pilot and gunner.

My problem is that I spend my best parts (including tiles) on vehicles. The best location I've ever built is this, and only because I was determined to build something smooth.

That wave skimmer is very very good, in keeping with the aesthetics of the build and I love the compactness for docking.
Take the note with studs as a note for the future, we've all been where you are but starting with a build like this - you'll be knocking the mocs out of the park in no time and i'm looking forward to your next build

Nice one! And the brickbuild canon and flag look great too!

Just want to second this. Your MOCs are very cool. If or when you get tiles to smooth out certain surfaces you could take your builds to the next level. But there's no shame in building with what you have.

Thanks! I will simply try to achieve smooth surfaces without tiles. Because I love smooth surfaces myself

If you don't have tiles something else you can try is SNOT. Here's an example of a mostly SNOT floor.

Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking about. Great build, by the way
