Grohl used the same technique in his VW Baja Beetle alternate.

Didn't know that. Thanks for info.

Nice job! That was the second Technic set I got when I was getting in to the hobby, so I've got a bit of a soft spot for it!

The topic and functions included do seem like the best choices to use the parts of this set, and the result looks good!

I have no idea how the community will receive this MOC

As far as I am concerned, the community receives your MOC very enthusiastically!!!

I bought 42037 back im 2015, built it, and was pretty disappointed about the b-model.

Then I gave it another shot in 2023... same situation!

So with your 42037 c-model I am finally reconciled with this mediocre set - and I really am looking forward to see your d-model and your e-model... and maybe your f-model...  🙂

... and I really appreciate your systematic approach with your analysis of the parts (axles, gears, panels...) before starting to invent an alternate model.

These are the steps which have to precede a successful MOC with limited parts.

Very instructive! I like it a lot, and I learned a lot.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and scrutiny!
