Oky Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 I was surprised there are so many fans of avatar here on EB but I am glad to see I am not alone! The ending was awesome how he found a way to take the fire lords bending instead of killing him! I am also surprised that they stopped making Lego avatar I thought allot of people liked it! Nice to see that there is one more thing that we have in common, computerbug. Movie? When, where, why??? (well why is because it's awsome ) I think he was referring to the Sozin's Comet 4-parter that forms the show finale and was shown back-to-back as movie on its US television debut and meant the episodes that precede it when saying "final epsiodes". However, as you might know, an Avatar feature film is in the works! Speaking of which, what do you guys think about Shyamalan's choice of white actors for the lead roles? Apparently, a lot of fans got mad about that. I, for one, don't really care what actors play the main characters as long as they do their job well. However, I do agree that an Asian actor would be suited better for the role of Zuko. Jet Li anyone? Here is for hoping once more that these films will bring life back into the Lego theme! Btw, where are all those Avatar MOC you guys promised to make?? Quote

Well the main people are from all over the world so I guess they could be all white Besides Zuku. I think they should've had an Asian actor play him. Wow i'm excited now haha Edit: I just saw a spoiler Can you guys please not put spoilers that spoil Or at least put that black stuff over it! Edited December 30, 2008 by hollisbrick Quote

This topic is about a show that has ended about half a year ago. What do you expect! It's the reason why you can only see it on pay-TV. Besides, don't blame me, I barely gave away any spoilers. Oky Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Hey guys! Have you seen this? I know, it's a wiki-page and therefore nothing reliable, but still. At least some things seem to be confirmed, so I think there is definitely hope! What do you guys think this new series will be about? Quote
Freddie Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 One can only guess. What I do know is that any new Avatar series will have a seriously difficult challenge ahead of it, since it will inevitably be compared to the original series. BTW; I see they're speculating about new airbenders. IMO, the new airbenders will not be air nomads, but a new people based around the technician's colony. Notice how Aang remarked that Teo "has the spirit of an air bender", and that the colony's culture heavily explores travel by air - through technology, sure, but all bending styles started out by learning from nature in one way or another. Winged flight can be seen as a primitive, unconcious way of bending air, and I think that one day they will figure it out how to do it without the wings. So in the end there'll be an entirely new air-bender culture. Quote
Orion Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) Well, I on accident started a movie/lego-set-tie-in thread on accident, not seeing this. Oops. I've been making a few little mocs from the show, but they're all minifigless (I'm trying to get my hands on the official figs). I loved seeing all the little (and big) mocs for the raffle. Those were really impressive. Anyways, that's all I got to say.... So.... .... Peace Out Edited February 26, 2009 by Orion Quote
Orion Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Hey, I don't know if you guys saw or not, but the newest episode of Avatar: the Last Puppetbender recentley came out. If you haven't seen the series yet, I strongly suggest checking it out on YouTube! Quote
Oky Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 Hey guys! Two pictures of the movie have been released: Zuko Aang The actors look OK, but the whole atmosphere of those images kind of remind of the terrible DragonBall movie. Quote

Two pictures of the movie have been released:Zuko Aang The actors look OK, but the whole atmosphere of those images kind of remind of the terrible DragonBall movie. What? Huuh.. huuh... blecchhh! Thats gross. Ewww, what do they want, siamese babys to play Aang? I wouldn't go see that. Quote
Ronan Nissen Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 The actors look OK, but the whole atmosphere of those images kind of remind of the terrible DragonBall movie. Ok, ok...Hold up! M. Night Shyamalan does not do that "Dragonball" movie type crap! Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I just hope they don't over-hype it on Nick like they did for the Dragonball movie in Shonen Jump. Quote
Pigbrick Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I'm not too impressed abou Zuko (or the backdrop) but Aang actually surprised me! I was worried the actor was going to look too old to be Aang, which isn't the case for me, and the design is interesting and new. The arrow on his forehead looks to be a new design but I wish I could see it better. The whole look feels oriental and old. I'm actually liking this . I just hope the acting will be good... Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 It's weird that the actors are either Caucasian or Indian/middle eastern. I wish at least iroh was being played by an asian. Quote
Pigbrick Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Better than I thought Teaser for the New Movie Edited June 23, 2009 by Pigbrick Quote
Oky Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Sweet! Thanks, pigbrick! Aang does have some nice moves. The Fire Nation ships don't have a lot of resemblance to the ones from the show, but the overall shape is there, and they still look pretty menacing. I'm starting to get excited for this movie now, although I still have my doubts. And I wish even more now that TLC will pick up this license! Quote

And I wish even more now that TLC will pick up this license! Agreed! The fire nation ships are very menacing and evil but what's up with Aang's arrow? It's all swirly! I think the movie has a lot of potential and I hope they grasp it with the movie. But I would like TLC to make more Avatar sets but I know they wont. Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I just watched the Series finale again today. I'm kinda sad that they're story is over The last time Bryan and Mike said they were thinking about a New series was in 2007. I hope if the movie is a Success, they will make a new series Quote
hollisbrick Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 IMO the choice of actors aren't very good For Aang yes. But for everyone else especially Zuko is disappointing Lets just hope I'm wrong! Quote
saberwing Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I think the movie will be just as bad as DB evolution. Avatar the Last Airbender was a pretty good TV-serie. I wish they made another serie like that but then with the next avatar, or the live of avatar Roku. Quote

blhc11 Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 according to what i heard and even though i want them to bring back lego avatar, it will probably not happen since the nickelodeon rights and stuff went to megablocks so we will just have to star buying from bricklink and moc our hearts out because it's very probable that avatar is not coming back. but hope is not lost for some of the minifigures you want like toph or azula since(eurobricks user) LuxorV on the minifig customisation network did a great thing and made a decal list from all over eurobricks including some avatar decals made by himself in wich you can find...that's right toph and azula and also some other suits for katara and also a zuko decal for zuko's face and his armor so search it and star "decaling"as well see ya Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I spent the last four days watching every season of Avatar. It was great Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 (edited) I heard a rumor that there will be 3 animated 1-2 hour Avatar mini-movies. I hope they do make them My idea for the Plot of those mini-movies are in Production is: 1 year after the event of the original series, it is an era of peace in the world. Aang is busy creating the new Air nomad race, by giving some of the inhabitants of the Northern Air temple some of his powers via energy bending. Zuko is ruling the fire nation, making sure that nobody tries to start another war. Katara and Sokka are living their lives in the south pole. Toph is a Master earthbender, teaching people her style of bending (including metalbending.) And Iroh is a happy old tea maker. But, everything is about to change. Azula escapes from the mental asylum she's being held in, and recruits some generals from the war, aswell as some rouge soldiers, and Earth Kingdom Mercenaries. Her new Faction is known as "The Neo Ozaic Fire Nation." She invades a Settlement in the Northern Earth kingdom. And uses it as a Base to Launch her Invasion of the world. The Gaang must reunite to save the world... again. Edited September 21, 2009 by Emperor Claudius Rome Quote
