Max_Lego Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 *Your entry has earned 4 XP (S:2, T:1, A:1) + 4 bonus XP for a total of 8XP It was (again) evening. On board of the Galactic Empire, the preparations for the annual Life day celebration were held. Among the people, who didn't participate, was the ship's new commander, Commissar Rax. Ironically, he was one of the few Imperials (and, to be honest, one of the few galactic citizens), who felt himself absolutely comfortable with Wookies. In fact, he was the one responsible for the preparations - no such important event could be held on board without his direct order or authorisation. The reason he didn't participate was that he had a celebration of his own - an ancient Sith holiday called Sithmas. The problem was that, well, he didn't really know how to celebrate it now. After reading some new Sith manuscripts, he spent hours of staring at the absolutely useless (since he wasn't a Force-user) Sith holocron, thinking about the future of the Galaxy. The fact that he was all alone and felt lonely didn't make it better - that was the cruel fate of small number of Sith Cultists, scattered across the Galaxy. - Comrade the Political Director, - his guard said, interrupting his thoughts, - Captain Kuzy demands authorisation to enter your private HQ. - Let him in, - the Commissar answered and put on a happy face, - Greetings, Captain! How can I help you? - Comrade the Political Director, our intelligence reports that the small gang of local pirates are going to strike and try to infiltrate our ship next night - yes, I know this sounds insane, but the intel is correct. That's absolute suicide they are planning there. Should I have the gunners and Waveskimmer crews alerted? - You know... No, I don't think you should. I want to set a trap for them and capture their leader alive for further interrogation. Give a squad of Stormtroopers at my disposal, it will do the job. Everything will be fine. - Understood, - Kuzy answered, thinking that the commander must be quite insane too, - Sir, I beg your pardon, but why won't you supervise the Life day preparations? I thought you said you like that holiday? - I can't, captain, I am too busy celebrating Sithmas at the moment. I am a Sith Cultist, remember? - What is Sithmas? - the captain asked. - An ancient Sith holiday, the birth of the Dark Side of the Force. Millennia ago, the Light and Dark sides got their ways separated once and for all. - Rebel scum claim the Dark Side is evil, - Kuzy replied and immediately understood his mistake, - I don't agree with that, yet I don't know what to think of it... I am not an expert, you know... - You know, captain, - the Commissar answered quietly, - I want my point to be clear. I have to say it now: many ancient Sith were utterly evil. Not all of them, but many. Hell, the planet-eating one is a notorious example. This led to many people believing that the Dark Side is evil and the Light Side, therefore, is good. But, believe me, this is absolutely wrong. After all these years of reading and thinking, I cane to the conclusion that it's not the side of the Force that makes people good or evil, but their own moral qualities. The Light Side didn't make the Jedi good. - But it didn't make them bad either, - Kuzy said, - why is the Dark Side better? - Because, contrary to what the Jedi say, it is much more powerful than the Light Side. And, believe me, it's not as easy as they claim it is. - Understood, Comrade the Political Director... Are you going to make Sithmas an official holiday, then? - You know, captain... - the Commissar answered, thinking of his loneliness, - ...No, I'm not. Our Emperor was a Sith Lord, yet he didn't. We don't need all people of the Galaxy to be Sith Cultists to win. After all, the Dark Side and the Sith aren't the main idea. In fact, I am going to give a speech tomorrow, just before the pirate attack, concerning our idea, goals and Rebel propaganda lies. Oh, and Life day, too. A Life day motivational speech! Please get the main auditorium ready for this event. - Yes, sir! - Kuzy replied. - I wish you a merry Sithmas, Comrade the Political Director! - he said before he left. - Thank you... - Rax answered and started singing quietly, - ... We wish you a merry Sithmas, we wish you a merry Sithmas... And a happy Life day! Quote
MKJoshA Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Hmm, Rax sounds a lot like Vergere. Be careful all your troopers don't fall to the Dark Side! Quote

Don't worry, they won't. They aren't Force-sensitive, and Rax doesn't plan to spread his Dark Side views among all troopers. He is going to tell them something else... Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Interesting story! I wonder where this will lead to?! Quote

Yperio_Bricks Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Great! Can't wait to learn more about Rax and his plans It's kinda funny that our characters almost have the same name. Rax and Rox, like two cartoon characters Quote

I named my character after Gallius Rax. I just liked the sound of his name. Also it's a reference to the "Commissioner Rex" TV series Quote

Vergere, now that is a name I haven't heard in some time, Nice little vignette and the stickered pieces add additional detail well. The classic space nod is a nice touch Quote

The classic space nod is a nice touch Thanks! I like Classic Space since I read Peter Reid's "Lego Space" book and watched The Lego Movie. I felt this little nod wouldn't be out of place here Quote
