skelliesgang Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 If I'm not badly mistaken, that hairpiece also comes in orange in the City-theme's camping trailer set. I think you're right. flickr Sir Dano LEGO City RV Quote
The Brick Rat Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 If I'm not badly mistaken, that hairpiece also comes in orange in the City-theme's camping trailer set. That's what I think also. I hope so, because the Elsa hair in orange would be great for a Batman The Animated Series style Poison Ivy. Quote
Bricks Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I think you're right. flickr Sir Dano LEGO City RV Don't post these illegal pictures! Well, yesterday I showed you the pictures, but I didn't wrote a comment, but now: The three new set's we saw at the pictures are all fantastic. But especially the 'Venice Chase', which is perfect designed. And I'm very happy, to see in the airplaine set a new Elsa-minifigure. So I think all of the new set's will be bought. Great job LEGO Greetings 'Bricks' Quote
Joey Lock Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Some GREAT new hair for the ladies there! I love that plane, They could have improved on the Messerschmit a bit more though...Well when I say a bit...I mean ALOT. Quote
Oky Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 (edited) I'm very happy, to see in the airplaine set a new Elsa-minifigure. I'm pretty sure she isn't in that set. She wasn't in that scene in the movie at all, and all the sets from that exhibition seem to be put together somewhat incorrectly, so it's much more likely that she comes with the Venice set. Which is good 'cause that one looks cheaper. I probably wont get any of these, except for the Bazaar Fight which looks like a must-buy. However, if Elsa and the guy with the Fez are really both in the Venice set along with those sweet boats, I might give that one a second thought. Edited January 27, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Batbrick Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 They pulled off the Bi-plane niceley, so why the blocky 109? Because it's NOT a Bf-109. Watch the movie again, the actual plane used was a Pilatus P-2 standing-in for a Luftwaffe fighter. So acutally, apart from the open cockpit, the plane is very accurate. That's what I think also. I hope so, because the Elsa hair in orange would be great for a Batman The Animated Series style Poison Ivy. Hey, good idea! I don't want to get that Camper Van but I may well have to now! Also, like others I'm really excited about the equality of figs this year. In Pirates there is the wench and female pirate. In City there is a lot of female citizens. In Castle there is the Queen, Orc Queen and peasant. And of course in Indy there is Marion, Willie and Elsa. Really excitingfor those of us who badly need those figs for our displays. Batbrick Away! Sandy Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 In Pirates there is the wench and female pirate. Wench?! She's the admiral's daughter! But you forgot to mention the mermaid as well. Uh, I just hope the new IJ-sets won't be as overpriced as the two that were already released. I still can't believe I paid 41 euros for five minifigs and two cars! I don't want to pay the same amount for four minifigs, two boats and a bridge... Quote
Omicron Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I don't want to pay the same amount for four minifigs, two boats and a bridge... And the sad part is, if you just wanted the minifigs, you would still be paying the same approx price of the set. :( -Omi Quote

Thanks, I find it amusing both major enemy planes (the flying wing and german fighter) were both not actually Luftwaffe aircraft. Batbrick Away! Quote

I really want that torso to make an new sig fig. Just for clearing: -The set called ''Flying Wing' and the guy is an german mechanic, in future maybe you could write some more words for this topic I want to add some comments of these pictures: -Price: 25$ -Content: 4 figures -special parts: this poison arrwo weapon, a new dark-brown torso -Price: 40$ -Content: 3 figures -special parts: -new blond hairs -Price: 35$ -Content: 3 figures -Special parts: the new red hat, a new grey torso Greetings 'Bricks' Quote
Bobskink Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 The bike on the priliminary boxart is cool. It's just nice so that after all these new pieces Lego designers never forget the old bricks. Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I want to add some comments of these pictures: -Price: 40$ -Content: 3 figures -special parts: -new blond hairs Are you sure about the price? Because the "new blond hair" comment is kind of weird. Elsa will not be in the plane set. The wasn't in that scene. Some person at this toy fair put her in there, but that seems like a complete error. As for the "poison arrow weapon" in the graveyard set... Won't that just be a reddish brown lightsaber blade? Not to kill anyone's mood here, but let's be realistic. (And remain unconfused by toy fair expositions that mix up figs and sets.) Quote

If we haven't the Elsa in the set, we will have Henry Jones (like in the first pictures)! And like you know LEGO isn't a cheap toy... -In the graveyard set it isn't a lightsaber or normal magic wand, it have a little edge, so it look's similar like an branch. So look again at it. So I don't know what's so wrong about my opinions, well except with the Elsa figure (but we didn't really know, if it's right or wrong)! 'Bricks' Quote

Mr Spielbrick Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 LEGO definitely isn't a cheap toy, no. I don't think your opinion is wrong. Some would argue an opinion can't be wrong per definition. And you're our Royal Picture Provider, I like you. Judging by that Doom box art... Indy, Willie, Short and THREE other figs?! Mola Ram, Thuggee... and? Thuggee 2? Lil' maharaja? Looking good! Quote
lafond123 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I don't know if this has been posted, but in the Cairo set, i think i can see indy with NO JACKET!!!!! Quote
Skinny Boy Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I didn't know Indy was dressed like an Imperial Officer during the Venice scene. I mustn't have been paying attention Why is that red bike there? Show us the chopper! Quote

Svelte Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Not sure if anybody's seen this yet. Great find! These look like finalised versions. The figs are AMAZING  The sets are kind of not great, though. Especially the trainwreck (pun intended) of the Temple of Doom. Things especially of note - Indy's ripped shirt (Year of the Shirtless Minifig continues) New Willie torso! (ditto) New Marion torso! Black turbans and great Thuggee torsos! Mola looks like a Tauntaun! Quote
RoflWafls Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Wow! Does any notice the new Indy faces in the Graveyard set and Temple of Doom? Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Wow, thank you booger540. Ambush in Cairo looks fantastic, I love the Cairo swordsman and Marion. Look at that tan barrel!n It looks as if we get at least 3 apples in this set, which is great. I'm still not sure about the Cairo swordsman having an orc sword though, I would've much rather had a scimitar. I love the Venice Canal Chase, look at those Cruciform suits! It's great to see some more variety in fleshy facial hair too. The Venice pier doesn't look too bad at all (I see 4 black telescope pieces), nice addition of the man hole and rat. I'm still unsure about the Chauchilla Cemetary, the landscaping is rather good, but I feel the set lacks substance. The Cemetary warriors look nice though, and is it just me or does Indy have a new face there? Not much has changed about the Fighter Plane Attack, but I still like it. I like the look of the gun turret on the biplane. Temple of Doom looks great. We get two varieties of Thuggee (one of whom looks like the slavedriver on the rock crusher ). I'm not sure I like Mola Ramm, the cheekguards on his headdress come down too much. I do like that the cow horns are used on his headdress though. The new Willie looks great, it looks like we'll be getting blond princess hair. It looks like there are plenty of play features here, with 1x1 cylinders falling from the tower and collapsing track. I still don't like the mine cars, they look too long and silly. I feel a larger version of the dwarf mine cars would've worked better, though it does look like the ones included are good for playability. Overall, the Summer Indy sets look great, I can't wait. Thanks for the link. Quote

Love that the Thuggees actually look like the ones in the game, unlike in previous themes or sets. Tauntaun? Um...sure. Super-happy that his headress looks that good. And here's the star wars one. They still kinda look prelim. though. (click) Quote
