So a spiderman advent could have been interesting if they finally would have given us citizens/villains/team-up heroes we don’t have yet. Now we get the same routine again.

only the surtur set is still running for a chance to be a lego marvel set that i will buy

Oh and the xmansion of course. When does that leak??

September maybe if it comes out in October

Wow these choices are very bad, no Ultron or Quicksilver, WTF, they better make a titan battle set.

135pcs $24.99 Minifigs include Iron man, Hydra Agent, Iron Legion (2X). Includes small hydra base with shooters.

Jeez, just 4 years ago they were $15. I'm losing my mind. This Hydra base better be pretty substantially sized or this went from buying 2 for sure to 1 when if I see a good sale.

Crazy that both AoU sets were initially rumoured to contain, you know, Ultron, but now neither do.

Personally, seems like a miss to base both sets on the opening scene of the film which seems nowhere near as desirable as the climax, but I’m sure the larger set will include those transparent ‘jumping’ pieces from Avengers Tower to recreate that iconic shot with all 6 Avengers.

Leviathan should’ve come with Hawkeye as Hulk alone doesn’t do enough to differentiate the minifigure roster from the Quinjet, but I guess they wanted to maintain his exclusivity in Avengers Tower.

New cape piece for Thor, yaaay. Looks like that’s where this theme’s yearly mould budget went.

Glad for my wallet that the Milano is the only set from this theme I’ll be getting in the summer. I do hope we get Star-Lord’s helmet piece again though. I know Brick Clicker mentioned a Baby Groot but could this be a new potted plant Groot mould rather than the Vol. 2 version? Especially with the set being based on the first film and a buildable potted plant Groot releasing at the same time.

So, what about that leaked Quicksilver torso from some time ago? When I mentioned that I wasn't sure it was legit, I was immediately shot down. But there's no Quicksilver anywhere in this line-up ... Anyone knows about productions times, that is, would it be likely for a torso to have been leaked some time ago for a set that can only come out in 2025 at the earliest? 'Cause all that we're missing for 2024 now is the X-Mansion, right?

I've chatted with a few leak accounts on Instagram and the feeling about the torso seems to be very uncertain. Leaning more towards it being a fake, though.

I don't really get how there can be so much uncertainty but I do have to say it's a little suspicious we got such a clear image of the torso and literally nothing else.

Not sure what the motivation would be to fake it, and not sure what the motivation would be to only leak such a small part of a set when they're very clearly able to take a high quality image.

Could always be that sets relating to the climax of the movie are in development also, as these Summer sets were initially rumoured very confidently as containing Ultron and Ultron sentries, but we don't really have anything solid to prove that.

I’m choosing to remain optimistic about the age of Ultron sets. The fact that they’re based on the first half of the movie seems to me that this is half of the wave, with potentially the other half coming sometime next year. I see the A1 Quinjet is retiring, would make sense for them to remake “76032” and give us Vision and Ultron.

Brick_clicker just posted new Marvel updates:

Thanks for sharing!

Most of these sound pretty good, actually :sweet:
The highlight for me is the Spider-Man Advent Calendar, even though I'm generally not that into the Spider-Verse.
I'm intrigued by Ghost Spider, and Spider-Ham Snowman sounds fun!

The Avengers: Age Of Ultron set sounds appealing, especially 'cause of the builds. I probably have most of the minifigures already, but maybe there will be some updated versions.

Same goes for the Avengers vs. Loki & Leviathan. I wouldn't mind another of those beasts for my Avengers Tower

Not sure what to think of the Iron Legion pack, yet. I'll have to wait and see what the Legionnaires look like.

That Surtur Battle sounds fascinating, too.

Mitch

I think ghost spider will just be the same fig we've gotten recently, it would be cool if they gave her a dual mold hood to show hints of the pink inside.

Or if they had printed and dual moulded legs for her ballerina shoes ( same style as fairy batman's ballerina shoes but in a different colour).

I do think it's a shame that we are getting hydra agents ( especially the weird winter camouflage mixed with chitauri tech look) over Ultron bots.

I wouldn't mind if the leviathan was the exact same build as the tower one ( but the price would need to reflect the size).

I hope the Surtur battle has a cool 2md fig, obviously Thor will be there, but I'd like to see someone interesting as the other fig, like Hela, Odin, Skurge, Heimdall, or even Surt himself. Those even one of his minions would be new and would have interesting parts for outside of a marvel context.

76291 has got to be one of the most disappointing rumors since “the X-Jet has the same roster as the 2014 set”. Luckily that was wrong and we ended up getting Rogue (a hideous version of her but whatever). So maybe this will be wrong? I mean no new characters is kind of lame. Especially given how they didn’t particularly stand out on their own. Iron Man still needs arm printing and Cap needs dual molded legs and possibly leg printing if you want to be generous. If these figures add those details maybe it might be worth looking at but practically speaking they won’t.

Hopefully they do release a second wave with sets focusing on the second half of the movie. With Quicksilver, Ultron and Vision being the most desirable figures from that movie it seems silly to not produce the scenes they were in. It’s also kind of silly to divide a 2015 movie into 2 waves given how much comic and also even MCU content we have yet to cover, and that same movie had 6 sets accompanying it during its initial release to begin with. Kind of wish we could really focus on new territory and only give a few legacy sets per movie instead of focusing on older movies we already paid attention to. When revisiting these films we should get a set or two not 2 waves, imo. Thats assuming they do a hypothetical second wave. Its just as disappointing if they only do one wave and get it this wrong lol.

Not having a single new character in the entire wave was already pretty disappointing, but now more so with the lack of updated minifigs even :shrug_oh_well: Not sure what the point of the leviathan set is, since all of its contents are already included in the AT. Sure, it‘s nice for people who can‘t afford the tower, but still a disapppoitment for collectors.
Also, no Quicksilver or Strucker in the AoU set? Come on! Nobody cares about Hydra goons

Minifig-wise, the best set has to be the Milano. Sure, also no new characters, but people have been clamouring for a new Gamora and a grey Drax again, so this is promising! Also, bring back Star-Lord‘s helmet! Pretty please?

That said, I don‘t want to complain too much. We‘ve already had Lizard, Rogue, masked Electro, and Zola this year (albeit non-classic versions of the latter two). Plus we‘ll surely see quite a few new characters in the X-Mansion!

2025 is the 10th anniversary of AoU, so hopefully we get a second wave with the stuff people are actually clamoring for :p

I'd imagine something like the following:

  • Ultron Battle Pack: Iron Man, Iron Legion, Ultron Sentry x 2
  • Forest Battle: Baron Strucker, Quicksilver, Captain America, Hawkeye
  • Hulkbuster Battle: Ultron Prime, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Hulk Big-Fig, Brick-built Hulkbuster
  • Final Battle: Ultimate Ultron, Iron Man, Thor, Vision, Black Widow, Hulk Big-Fig, Ultron Sentry x 2

Then probably a NWH Bridge Battle, a legacy set, handful of show/comic-inspired Spider-man sets, three sets for Thunderbolts, two sets for Fantastic Four and probably CMF S3 and a D2C movie-inspired set at the end of the year :shrug_oh_well:

Considering how much Lego have reused the first Avengers figures, I definitely think we’ll get more Age of ultron sets with them in. I could see the final battle set coming true, along with a quinjet remake and Hulkbuster. With Lego spreading out vision, quicksilver, Wanda and ultron between them all.
I wonder if they’ll do civil war or infinity war sets next 🤔 Could see them doing a 2 part diorama of the airport scene. Hoping for wakanda and Titan battle sets one day.

Oh, jeez. Ghost Spider is just/actually Spider-Gwen (which evidently is not what she's actually called :innocent: ) !
I thought it was some cool new variant, a combo of Spider-Man and Ghost Rider or something

Wouldn't be suprised if they gave us an Ultron Buildable Figure and that's it.

If they do ultron well, this could actually be good though... (Not the "that's it" part, but an Ultron figure)

Agreed. There’s only a handful of characters that would look good as buildable figures and Ultron is up at the top of the list.

I'm still pretty excited. The only problem with the AOU sets is that they will probably both contain the Mark 43. No 45 is very disappointing! But we have Iron Legion, new Hulk, new Hawkeye, new Thor with the hard cape!!!

I expected a Leviathan, sooner or later, and I'm happy to have another Hulk 2012, I'm just disappointed by the lack of Hawkeye and especially the Mark 6 without damage

Hopefully they give Hulk an angry face and not a silly smile, and are we sure there's no MK 45 ?

Not sure, but it would be logical... I like the "Hulk smash" face :-D but I would appreciate a new variant

I approve this message.

Not only would an Ultron buildable figure look cool on it's own, but imagine having the Avengers fighting a giant Ultron, like the early Age of Ultron concept art!

I wonder if there's a reason Lego doesn't make many angry Hulk faces anymore, is it because they want it to be more kid friendly, I mean look at the castle stuff, in the early 2000s there would be a lot of angry faces and now almost all of them are smiling and have goofy expressions which I hate.

Yeah I noticed a lot of minifigs back in the day had "scary" expressions, I mean look at the OG Kai face from Ninjago. That was a mean-looking dude

Thats how I feel about it too. It seems like we are getting fewer unique sets and figs, and if you have been collecting for a while you are bound to see more repeats which won't interest you. If you have avengers tower there isn't much in these waves to tempt you by the look of it.

The biggest disappointment is the spiderman advent calendar which could have been a chance to get some unique figs but doesn't sound like we are getting any. Ashnflash suggested (or was wishful thinking) that the spider pig head still being in production made him optimistic of an into the spiderverse wave next year. But I'm not getting my hopes up.
